14 PERFECT EVENING

" Oh what a pleasant coincidence!" Amanda stood up from the ground.

To be honest, at this point, I hated Godwin. Of course he is my friend but there is something going on in his mind about Amanda. This is not being possessive or protective or jealous, this is about 'not letting her go'.

" Godwin, why are you here in Adult's park, any dates with old grandmas?" I asked.

He and Amanda laughed with his hand touching on Amanda's shoulder. I regret telling that joke now. :(

" No, no. I don't have any dates here. I uh-uh came to, you know just relax."

He lied. I can understand that just from his tone. But why would he lie? Does that mean, he followed Amanda?

" Godwin, you coming now?" A man shouted from the other side of the park.

" Ya bro, coming!" Godwin shouted back.

" Isn't that Justin, from the camp?" I asked because that face seemed so familiar.

" Yes, well, I got to go. See you guys tomorrow " He spoke and ran to a van with Justin.

" That was weird!" Amanda spoke.

" Well, it's time, your parents will worry if you don't go home now." I turned to Amanda.

" You are right, bye then Lijah." She spoke and turned. I pulled her left hand near to me which made her turn back.

I mouthed an ' I love you'. I could see her blush. She smiled back and said " I love you more."

I went back to home. Aunt always has a spare key to our house so Leah was already in when I got there.

I took my way to the room and closed the doors.

Godwin and Justin, why are they together? That too in a van, which is strange.

The next day at school was so noisy. The canteen was filled up with students and that's when Syla, the most popular girl in the school stood up on a a bench and shouted.

' Attention everyone, today night I will be hosting a party at my house. Those who wish to have some fun with non-alcoholic drinks are welcome. '

Everyone started whispering and talking to each other. I hated noisy and crowded places and I know Amanda hates that more than me. I grabbed her wrist from the crowd and walked out of the canteen.

" For a minute I couldn't breathe in there." Amanda spoke while she gasped for some fresh oxygen.

" So what about the party?" She asked me.

" Oh, never. Let's both go to the lake's bridge and chill out there today evening with our headsets and my Aunt's wine!"

"Awwww, that sounds like a perfect evening." She jumped and gave me a tight hug.

Even though I didn't show my excitement in front of her, I was super thrilled.

Today I will show her what a perfect evening looks like!
