57 Chapter 57 The Hatchling

I sat down and watched Artenyx and the Digimon eating snacks in the kitchen our newest member of the family decided their favorite spot was being curled around my neck.

The Ender Dragon hatchling was shy but was curious staring at everything around her with a cat-like gleam in her purple eyes. Even so, they never left my side even when I tried to set them down to let them explore but, they would always cling to me like their life depended on it and begin to cry.

Then a problem reared its head the hatchlings ate anything or at least tried and for their tiny size they sure had an appetite, after hatching I had left for a food run only to return finding the kitchen in ruins and four children covered in flour.

after I had left the hatchling began to cry Artenyx trying to stop the crying newborn tried to use food which started the Tom and Jerry episode of events to come, the hatchling ate everything that could fit in her mouth the chase only stopped after a bag of flour was dumped over everyone which is when I had arrived.

A minor problem afterward was picking their name because I can't tell what gender the hatchling is even Tron couldn't tell his theory being like some animals we won't be able to tell until they're older so, for now, they are known as the Baby or the Hatchling.

As I was watching the kids eat some snakes the tv caught my attention or what was being said.

Kelly: "First I'd like to thank you and everyone else for this opportunity to speak directly to the American people, Now as many of you out there listening right now are no doubt have thought a version of this simple question.

Kelly: "And now I come with an answer and that answer is Monarch a multinational group of the United States and her allies' best and brightest minds working to understand and contain these creatures," the Monarch logo appears on a tv in between the two while people clap and cheer in the background.

Newsman: "That is wonderful news to hear especially after the monster attack by the creature now being called Quetzalcoatl after the Aztec God," The tv shows pictures and clips of Quetzalcoatl then the sound of its Roar is heard.

Newswomen: "Now Senator some might wonder what this Monarch plans to do about a certain creature," a familiar Roar is heard and many pictures and clips of Zilla are shown.

Kelly: "I can't say anything right now but rest assured that all of these monsters shall be contained and their secrets used for the betterment of the U.S.A and our allies as soon as Monarch is fully operational.

"That doesn't bode well let's see who this senator is" taking out my phone I barely had to type in the guy's name before he popped up on the search engine and after reading a few sentences I recognize who he was.

Robert Edward Kelly anti-mutant politician and a real piece of shit who helped start the Mutant.Response.Divison or MRD and that hunt down and lock up "dangerous mutants".

Koromon: "Is something wrong you have a scary face on?" I look to the voice and find my pink and orange balls starting up at me I fixed the scowl on my face from remembering senator kelly and smiled at the two.

"No not really just thinking about so-"

looking down I find my digivice is lighting up grabbing it a message is projected Digi-Evolution acquired. looking at the message both Koromon and Tsunomon smile and jump on the floor Artenyx came over and watched.

"Alright, you two let's do it" the digivice flashed and their body began to glow and a nostalgic theme began to play in my head.

As the light dimmed I saw my two partners and the change was something I was not prepared for both looked like Agumon and Gabumon but black they about reached my waist in height.

The two stretch and test out their new bodies as Artenyx marveled at the transformation the hatchling looked utterly confused but at the same time amazed.

"Alright training starts this weekend" the two Digimon looked ecstatic I saw Artenyx's head droop so I petted her head "You as well Artenyx" which brought a smile to her face and a determined gleam in her eye.

'Could it be a glitch or. . . . but how could they affect the system or maybe it had something to do with Artenyx could it be her name?' I pondered for a moment before buying all the skills barely making my stock of points go down especially after introducing myself to both the Justice League and the Avengers.

I transferred the skills to Artenyx who after a small headache showed me the only skill she had enough energy to use [Sleep Powder] which caused both Digimon to fall asleep before I could warn them to not breathe in the blue cloud.

Once the cloud disperse I picked up the two and laid them on the sofa.

*boom* *boom*

In the distance, explosions could be heard and I saw smoke rising then the news changed and began showing a video from a phone camera of a building on fire and looking like it was about to collapse.

*THUD* *THUD*

loud thuds could be heard and the side of the build began to crack like something wanted out.

*THUD* *THUD* *THUD* *CRASH*

A large fist with a large meaty finger burst through the wall before the wall collapsed showing who brock down the wall.
