56 Chapter 56 To Establish a Monarch

Steve: "But what did you mean by restarting an organization" the four looked nervous and I could understand why if this news got out well it wouldn't look too good for the government or S.H.E.I.L.D but what do I care.

"During World War 2 in the Pacific ships were going missing and it wasn't the Japanese it was because the war woke up a Titan" this news caused many reactions but the agents only raised an eyebrow "Reed show them".

After a few taps, the holo-table projected what I had told the fantastic four, I went on to explain the story of Monarch from the lone survivor to the failed expedition. I only stopped to answer questions in the end though the reaction to this revelation was mixed.

Maria hill was downright ballistic after finding out and wondering how S.H.E.I.L.D had never heard of Monarch especially after the war when it was formed.

Stark seemed miffed at first but then gained a grin that I knew only meant trouble.

Batman, Black Widow, and Hawkeye had to be having the same thoughts of trying how to gather further intel on the original Monarch.

Superman, Steve, Flash, and GL seemed willing to accept what we had for now but one person in the room looked distracted.

Martian Manhunter: "Diana is something wrong?" that's what I also wanted to know as the shocked expression she had on her face turned into a worried one.

Wonder Woman: "I-It's nothing at least I believe so" Martian Manhunter tried to comfort her, but Batman noticed this and came over.

Batman: "Care to share what's on your mind" Diana looked around contemplating what to say.

Wonder Woman: "I can't for I don't know if my insight is true, I must return home to confirm my suspicions but if true. . ." as the discussion went on one thing was agreed Monarch would be reestablished but how it would function was something else entirely.

Maria and Fury wanted Monarch to become a branch of S.H.E.I.L.D but that was shot down pretty quickly only Hawkeye and Black Widow tried to give the idea some leg to stand on but, that didn't pan out and in the end, it was agreed it would be pushed to be an independent agency.

Now obviously all of this would need to be bright to the government and accept, and would normally take some time to get everything moving but with the recent Titan attack and the new one about to wake up in Japan, it would take no time at all to get the ball rolling.

I loved what I was seeing but I didn't need two more kids when one was on the way and an upset Artenyx so I selected [No] for now. after a while I got tired of the constant back and forth of the discussion so I subtly got Torch and Spidey to come with me to the roof to get some air and hang out.

"ahh, fresh air" I stretched my body letting out Night fury wings and tail letting the wind fill in my wings and stretch my tail.

Johnny: "which one is this no wait let me guess. . . Gargoyle!" he said laying on a beach chair while Spidey looked over the unfinished Jet the Avengers QuinJet and the Batwing.

"If I was a Gargoyle I would be a statue right now" I walked over and grabbed a soda from a cooler "it's my namesake a Nightfury"

Johnny: "So is that one the black iguana with wings"

"Grrrrrrr"

Johnny: "Did you just growl at me?"

Spiderman: "Wait you can transform into more than that demon-looking one?" I nodded my head and took a swig of my drink ". . .Could you show us some?" he asked hesitantly I just put down my drink and transformed.

Spiderman/Johnny: "Holy!/Jesus Christ!"

I gave them a deadpan look before taking my soda can between my teeth and drinking the rest of the drink, then Johnny looked over to the lift and got a smile on his face.

POV third person

Five minutes after Johnny, Spiderman, and Nightfury left the discussion was over and everyone was leaving Nick and Maria were the first to leave having a ride waiting for them at the front of the building. Everyone else made their way to the roof where they had parked making small talk along the way.

Tony: "I'm just saying I could take a quick look under the hood if you want some advice."

Ben: "Thanks for the offer shell head but me and Torch got it handled" as the double doors opened and everyone was about to walk out.

"ROOOAAAR!!!"

Most jumped the more experienced went for their weapons but one Susan storm put up a Sheild before blocking any attack from hitting the greater that came down in front of them.

Johnny: "Hahahahaha Oh my God you should have seen your faces Hahahaha!"

Susan: "Johnny you almost got Nightfury attacked!" she lowered the shield as Nightfury transformed back into his human form only allowing his tail and wings to remain.

Hawkeye: "What.the.hell.was.that!" breathing between each word and with a pat on the back from Steve everyone looked curiously at Nightfury all having never seem a shapeshifter before.

Nightfury: "that was my namesake but if you mean the jumpscare that was Johnnys idea"

Spiderman: "Can't believe how loud that roar was remind me to never be on the other side of that."

After exchanging greeting everyone went their separate ways to continue their business the Avengers flying off to their tower and the Justice League separating to their respective city's. Spiderman went back on patrol and Johnny Storm decided to join him avoiding his sister's wrath for now.

POV Nightfury

"Hey guys I'm back from patrol!" I land and look around expecting to see the three rascals greet me. 'where the heck could they be?' making my way inside I find all three surrounding something.

*crack* *crack*

Hearing a familiar sound I rush over just in time to see a new member of this monster family be born.

a small thing barley the size of a house cat pitch black scales with grey wings and spikes looks up at everyone with bright purple eyes.

A/N you guys have been giving me great suggestions on monsters so how about a name for the baby Ender dragon and vote is it a boy or a girl.
