36 Manipulation: Carnage to the world.

"So what are you planning on doing now?" Raising her head, Death looked him straight in the eye and asked.

"I'm going to kill some birds." Alan chuckled, and raised his head to the sky defiantly, as Death frowned immediately.

"Are you mad?! What good is going to come out of this fruitless endeavour?? You're only going to get yourself sealed once more!!"

Death smashed her fist into his chest like a angry young lady, while Alan laughed in response.

"It'll be a good way to pass time, don't you think?"

Placing his hands in his pockets, Alan chuckled and walked past Death towards the cup of wine, before he took a sip.

"And what gives you such confidence?! You'll die if the creator sets in! You saw what happened to Samael."

Death tried to speak some sense into him, however Alan's expression changed slightly after hearing Samael's name, but he came back to normal after that.

"If you insist on going, there's no way I can stop you, however you should know that I won't be joining you.."

Death sighed after a few minutes, and took a seat in exhaustion.

"Good. You'll only be a hindrance to me if you come." His words cut deep into the heart of the Personification of Death, and the nonchalance in his expression as he spoke hurt her soul.

"I see, but just so you know, Heaven has now secluded itself, qnd has relegated nearly all of its power over creation to the Primordials and the Endless. There's no way to go up there to the silver city even if you want."

Death finally spoke, spiking Alan's interest for the first time.

"Oh? Interesting. So those birds decided to shut themselves up in their nests. Pitiful."

Spitting out in mockery, Alan shook his head in disgust.

"What is your endgame in all of this, Alan. What are you planning on achieving by going to war?"

Looking right at him, Death asked in all seriousness, as he sat with his legs crossed.

"Hmmm? I've not really thought of that. I will after I rid the multiverse of the birds. Also if its indeed true that they've relegated power to you and the rats, and have gone into hiding, then there's only one way to get their attention."

Alan arose from his seat and slowly began walking towards as the blood red aura slowly oozed out of his body. With each step, millions of invisible slashes swept out cleaving through and dismantling everything within a million mile radius.

In an instant, Death's mansion was reduced to dust, and the entire dimension was torn asunder and ripped apart, however, she herself stood unharmed, as she looked within his eyes with confidence.

"You look confident. Is it because you believe in your ability to take me down?"

Alan tainted, and with a will, the invisible slashes swept towards Death and swarmed her in an instant.

"I know you won't harm me, Alan."

But about an inch from her face, they ceased and disappeared the moment she spoke.

"Tsk. Rather than that, I still have uses for you so I don't plan on killing you anytime soon, but I will, eventually.

Now in order for Heaven to grant me their undivided attention, I'll need to eradicate the parties to whom responsibility has been given to, and that is you, the Endless, and those self confident deities, but for convenience sake, Ill take them down first and then you, the Endless will follow.

And this is where you come in. I need you to spread the word, to your siblings. Tell them I'll be coming after you soon. With that at least, your useless self can help me in a way before I kill you."

Alan walked to her, gently caressed her hair and spoke, with his reddish pupiless sclera glaring deep into her dark deep ones.

Tears dripped down her cheeks, as she watched the wicked smile on Alan's face. Despite her feelings, she had responsibilities, and as a member of the Endless, she had to maintain order and balance.

She had to maintain the order of the multiverse, while protecting her siblings from him, even if it meant hurting him, and yet, standing so close to him, she couldn't summon a shred of power within her body.

She felt paralyzed and powerless, and truth to be told, if Alan really desired, he would've been able to end her.

"Tsk. You really are useless. I threatened to kill your siblings, and yet the soon to be killer stands right in front of you, and you can't summon a shred of energy from your body. Pitiful."

He took steps forward, until their lips were merely inches apart, and then he slowly whispered in her ear, not forgetting to put on a evil smile as he did so.

"I'm sorry, Alan. I know you trusted me to come save you, but I didn't. I-I was scared. As your teacher, that was cowardly of me, and as a friend, I really let you down."

She sobbed into his ear, as the smile on his face slowly vanished, replaced by a murderous look in his eyes.

"My teacher? You no longer qualify to address yourself with that title. Besides, I was stripped off all the abilities I learnt from you and the ones I possessed before, with the exception of my immortality, which he nearly overwrote with his power.

And also, I did indeed trust you to save my life, I desperately believed you would come save me. As I slowly descended into the embrace of the abyss, the only face in my mind was yours, but none of that matters now."

Alan's words stabbed deep into her heart, as she shook and watched him turn around and slowly walk away.

"Wait, please. I-I-I can help you. I can help you!!"

She uttered with an expression that was a mix of regret and obsession, as if she knew that if she allowed him to leave, the next time they would meet would be on the battlefield where they'd battle for their lives.

"Oh? I'm listening."

Turning around with a small smirk, Alan walked back to her and then gestured for her to speak.

"I can help you take down the Primordials. They were created outside of this multiverse by Khaos herself. Taking them out should be enough to draw her attention which would in turn get Heaven's attention."

She took a deep breath, wiped her tears and spoke, reclining herself to the fate of being labeled a traitor in her mind.

"Oh? Interesting. If you have just said this before, there would've been no need for emotional shenanigans."

Alan finally laughed, as he walked to her and caressed her cheek.

"In exchange, I want you to spare me and the Endless." Death gave the condition for her aid after a bit of silence, and Alan smirked.

"While I will go out of my way to avoid a possible confrontation with them, I'll kill them if they make a move."

Nonchalantly speaking, as if he had just not threatened to kill multiversal beings, he finally clapped his hands together and smiled.

"Since that worked out well, let's get going. I have a place in mind where the chaos can begin."

Waving his hand, an invisible slash swept out, ripping apart dimensions, as he walked in with his hands in his pockets and gestured with his finger for Death to follow.

Intently watching the spatial rift, she sighed and looked to the sky, before she steled her resolve and walked through, knowing there was no turning back.

•••••

Earth, Asian Continent....

After the arrival of the Primordials, earth had been shared accordingly for restoration and rule. All the Primordials lived within their respective domains and rarely crossed over to another's without invitation. Such an act was seen as a declaration of war and bloodshed and was not taken lightly.

The continent that would soon be known as Asia been taken over by many Primordials and shared, however now, the land that would soon come to be known as China was a paradise specifically built by two Primordials, Fuxi and Nuwa, the Primordials of Creation, Order and Fertility.

Within the garden and the massive waterbodies surrounding it, numerous divine beasts and spirite could be seen frolicking to and fro without a care.

Above the garden, a massive palace stood in the Heavens bathed in golden light with an intimidating presence, and several divine figures could be seen moving in and out.

At the gates of the massive palace, four beings cloaked in golden divine armour standing on clouds, stood guard at the cardinal points, the first holding onto a long golden sword, the second holding onto a golden lute, the third holding onto a large umbrella, and the last holding onto a long bow.

They were the four protectors of the Heavens, Gods of the four elements and warriors of nature.

Within the palace, a massive throne stood in the center, and on it, a figure wrapped in divine glow sat with a bored expression. His white hair flowed to his back with a long beard, like a Taoist. He wore golden green robes with cloud and dragon like patterns beautifully interwoven on them.

'Sigh. What a boring existence. No wonder the creator had to put himself into slumber. Should I go into slumber too?'.

Seated on the throne, the man sighed deeply and turned towards the divine being standing before him.

A handsome young man dressed in golden armour and holding onto a long spear with a fierce expression, like a battle hardened General. His most noticeable feature was the closed third eye on his forehead that squirmed errily.

"How are the rest of the deities handling the news of my resignation, Erlang Shen. And how is the search for my successor going?"

The man on the throne asked with his bored expression.

"Your Highness, the rest of the deities, especially the council are perturbed by your decision, however -arrghhh!"

He did not finish his statement when the third eye on his forehead opened on its own, letting out a burst of divine light which shattered space.

"Hey, are you alright?"

The man on the throne asked, while Erlang Shen grabbed his head and screamed in agony.

"A demon is coming!! We are doomed! He's going to kill us all!!!"

Being the God of foresight, having visions were nothing to him, however, this particular vision was far too intense and in the end he collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood.

Instantly a group of deities rushed into the throne room in alarm, and gasped in shock seeing the state of the their warrior general.

Meanwhile, a rift opened in space on the earth, atop a hill, and a red haired handsome yet demonic looking youth walked out with his hands in his pockets and a nonchalant expression.

Behind him a pale skinned beauty walked out dressed in black.

"Hahahaha! Hahahaha! It finally begins!"

Watching the lands from above he laughed like a madman, as echoes of his laugh reverberated across the beautiful garden like lands below him.
