Earth shaking battle; Attracting an Endless.

The midday sun sat proudly within its kingdom of blue skies, guarded by white fluffy clouds, as it shone rays of goodness and sunshine down the lands.

A cool breeze blew across the land, providing a refreshing shield from the heat of the sun.

Amidst it all, two figures faced each other at the outskirts of the garden of Eden, with stoic expressions.

The first, being a youth with long white hair like an immortal from the tales. His multicoloured irises shone with an otherworldly beauty and his handsome face was enough to move the hearts of goddesses.

He was dressed in long white chiton-like robes that left his chest and arms bare, and his his right hand was a katana like blade in reverse grip that he raised at a right angle to his body.

On his opposite was a golden haired angelic being encapsulated in the glow of divinity. He was now dressed in golden battle robes, and his golden buster sword was sheathed halfway into the earth before him, while his right hand grasped onto the handle tightly.

His eyes blazed with flames, as he raised his head and glared at his opponent.

A cool breeze suddenly blew ruffling their clothes, while in the process unplugging a small leaf from a tree.

It soared through the sky at a slow pace and then the moment it landed, the earth quaked, as massive auras burst out of the both of their bodies, rupturing the ground beneath their feets.

The white haired youth was covered in a pure golden green energy that caused several plants and grass to grow around him, while several flowers blossomed within the radius of a kilometre. On the side of the angelic being, his entire body suffused a bright golden glow, like the sun, burning away almost everything in his path even burning through space and reality.

*WHOOOSH!*

Their bodies moved in tandem, reaching speeds that far eclipsed sound without even trying.

*CLANG!*

Their blades collided together, sending out a massive sound wave that ruptured the earth and destroyed several large in the process. The two of them glared at each other in slow motion, like enemies, before they engaged each other once more in close combat.

The white haired youth's attacks were graceful yet fierce, mainly focusing on parrying his opponent's attacks, as if he could anticipate them while casually unleashing counters of his own, while the angelic being's attacks were super fierce and full of explosive energy power.

*BOOM!*

Grabbing his blade with both hands, the Angel slashed out his buster sword, sending out a fierce wave of energy that annihilated every single iota of matter in its path.

The white haired youth on the other hand moved like a ghost, flipping himself backwards and spinning in the air, while dodging the overwhelming attack.

"You're holding back aren't you? It seems your new power has made you arrogant, Alan."

Samael, the Angel spoke while hoisting his buster sword onto his shoulders.

"You're the one holding back, Samael, you don't even have your wings out yet." The white haired youth, Alan laughed and pointed his sword towards Samael.

"The again, you should hold back. A small slip up from you could probably destroy the universe. If not for the dome of energy you put up around us, the earth would've been destroyed from our earlier exchange."

Alan sighed and clenched his fist around his sword tightly.

Even with his impressive power ups, his chances of winning against Samael was still close to 0%.

"You have grown stronger, Alan. Far stronger than before. If I'm right then a full powered attack from you should be able to destroy the Earth."

Samael put up a faint smile, and spoke while Alan smirked proudly.

He then took in deep breath and sent a stream of life energy towards his eyes. The next moment, his vision changed rapidly, as the world appeared before his eyes in its true state. Matter and energy appeared in their subatomic building particles, while the colours of reality seemed to twist and turn in his vision.

"Oh?"

Turning towards Samael, Alan couldn't help but gasp in surprise. Under his Eyes of Truth, which he named himself, he could see the real state of his friend's being. His outer body was covered in an inky black flame evil flame that repulsed everything around him and commanded all to bow to him, but on the inside, his heart and soul were the purest shade of gold Alan had ever seen apart from his own, literally and metaphorically speaking.

'He is literally the embodiment of the saying, evil and repulsive in the outside, but soft and good on the inside..'

He smiled and then focused, trying to narrow on the line of death on Samael's body that every living being possessed. It took him about a minute just to locate the thin microscopic dark line that was attached to his body.

'As I thought, all living beings possess a number of death lines, but this guy, he's just built different. If I hadn't concentrated hard enough there's no way I would've seen his death line. No wonder he's the strongest in the whole of DC, he's literally impossible to kill.'

Alan thought while Samael smirked, watching his Alan sizing him up.

"Are you done with examining me?" Samael asked and pointed his sword towards Alan, who cleared his throat and readied himself in a stance.

"Go!"

*BOOM!*

They shot towards each other and unleashed their powers, destroying everything in their paths and clashed.

*SWOOSH!*

Unfurling his wings, Alan soared into sky and then blasted off the surface of the earth into space, while Samael closely followed behind without using his wings.

Both of them landed on a planet and continued their battle, leaving craters as large as mordern cities on the surface of the planet.

Hurling himself into the sky, Samael waved his sword and slashed out, sending out a wave of disintegration that began wiping out the very atoms of the planet.

"Shit!"

Alan cursed and readied his blade, powering up his eyes of truth with more life energy. He quickly noticed the lines of death within the wave of annihilation and blasted forward at full speed towards the incoming wave.

*SLASH!*

His sword slashed out multiple times in a quick succession, ripping apart all the death lines in the wave of annihilation.

*BOOM!*

A massive explosion occurred that hurled him into the distance.

"Impressive, Alan, at this pace you should be able to kill concepts very soon." Samael laughed and shot towards Alan before he blasted out with a kick, hurling his friend off the surface of the planet and crashing into a moon.

Samael then waved his hand, seizing a hold of the planet telekinetically. He then snapped his finger, as the planet soared through the void at immense speeds and crashed into Alan's figure that was embedded in a crater on the surface of the moon.

*BOOM!*

Alan was hurled through the void at super speed, as Samael chased after him.

"Life energy manipulation: Big Bang!"

Alan roared and held out his fingers, summoning an endless amount of life force energy within his body. The energies coalesced into a never before seen golden energy sphere than undulated with terrifying destructive power, that mimicked the effects of atomic disintegration, erasing everything and anything in its path.

*BOOM!*

Samael who was rushing towards him was caught up in the attack at a point blank range and was actually hurled into the distance and sent crashing through multiple planets by Alan's heavyweight of an attack.

Alan spat out blood from his mouth and smirked, before he chased after Samael and landed on the planet he was sent crashing into.

Samael arose from the rubble of a nearly destroyed planet with a laugh before he and Alan clashed once more in a bout of close combat, while moving at near light speed.

*BANG!*

*BANG!*

Multiple kicks and punches were thrown by the both of them, and while Alan did his very best to dodge Samael's punches he did not emerge victorious in the bout and was sent flying with a kick from the archangel.

"That was a very impressive attack, Alan. I guess my initial assessment of your power was wrong, you're more than capable of destroying a planet on your own, however, you can grow even stronger. Everything in existence possesses an iota of life. If you can learn to harness that life, you should be able to manipulate everything, even existence itself."

Samael laughed and then took a few steps back, placing one hand at his back and raising the other.

"What do you say we exchange one last move at call it a day?"

He asked, as a held up a finger, summoning a small round revolving golden ball of flame that crackled with demiurgic power.

"Sure."

Alan sighed and closed his eyes. The moment he reopened them, he held up his fingers and summoned a large sphere of an inky black energy behind him.

"Hahaha! Your talent is even greater than some of the highest ranking host of angels, Alan. You have managed to control the death energies by yourself in such a short amount of time?!"

Samael laughed and in appreciation, and readied his attack, as he flicked his finger, causing the energy sphere to shoot towards Alan.

"Universal Requiem: Advent of Death!"

Alan waved his hand, and blasted out his attack, before he coughed out blood and collapsed to his knees in exhaustion, but he healed up a few seconds later.

Universal Requiem was an attack he had created himself by negating life force to create a blast that could instantly annihilate anything. It was an attack that the entire universe itself bore witness to, showcasing the might of death.

*BOOM!-*

An explosion occurred, nearly wiping out the entire galaxy from existence. Alan was nearly obliterated from the wave that exploded as a result of the collision and was currently seated on a rock on a small moon, watching the wave of destruction with a smile.

A wave of golden green light emerged from within his body and washed over all his injuries, healing and regenerating his body, and in a few seconds he was back to normal

at his peak.

*Snap!*

A loud finger snap reverberated across the void, as everything reverted back to its normal state, and in a moment, Alan found himself seated along the Western River of Eden, with Samael seated by his side.

"I'm impressed, Alan. Really impressed. You have proven to able to handle about 3 percent of my peak power. That's something worth celebrating. I long for the day when I eventually lose to you."

Samael patted his shoulder while Alan chuckled.

"Be careful what you wish for, my friend, because it might just happen. But, I don't think that'll ever be possible. You're too strong."

Alan smirked and raised his head to the sky, speaking with a sigh.

Samael was about to respond when he suddenly turned his head to the side and noticed a figure peeking on them.

"Come out."

He spoke in a stern yet fierce tone, as a beautiful figure slowly walked out of the overshadowing branches.

A beautiful figure nonetheless, one that instantly caught the eye of the archangel. He couldn't help but size her up multiple times, as he cleared his throat.

"Lilith, it's good to see you again, my friend."

Alan rushed to her with a warm smile, seeing as she was holding onto several fruits in a basket.

"I-I was not peeking. I overheard your voice, Alan and decided to offer this token as an apology, for the way my husband acted towards you the other time."

She humbly offered the basket of sumptuous fruits, and without hesitation, Alan grabbed it from her hands and began munching on an apple.

"Token accepted."

As Alan munched on the fruits, his eyes of truth stealthily caught the two of them stealing glances at each other, as a wave of emotions burst out in their hearts.

"Oh, you guys haven't met right. Samael, this is beautiful woman standing by me, is none other than Lilith, the first woman, husband to the jerk who calls himself the first born son of God, and Lilith, this is Samael, the Morningstar, the true son of God, the light bringer, the strongest in the multiverse-"

"Enough! You don't need to mention all of my accolades?!"

Samael facepalmed at his friends antics.

"I am honoured to meet you, my Lord."

Lilith bowed slightly as Samael's glanced favourably towards her.

"It would seem you do not share your husband's sentiments."

He spoke in a calm and deep voice, radiating supreme confidence.

"My husband is immature, and blinded. Please overlook his wrongdoings." Lilith humbly bowed once more, before she raised her head towards Samael with a small smile.

"Mmm. I'll be back later."

The archangel cleared his throat, unfurled his wings and disappeared in a burst of golden light.

"Tsk. He seems rude, but on the inside, he's a really good dude with a good heart."

Alan spoke, while munching on another fruit.

"Of course, I can tell."

Lilith spoke with a smile and then turned towards Alan who was surprisingly staring at her.

"I also want to apologize to you for lying about my visits to the Northern Section of the garden.

Staying with Adam, is one of the hardest assignments given to me by the creator. Sometimes, I desire a little freedom, and that place gives me that. A serene environment to relax and to think."

She spoke with a sigh and then her facial expression changed to a small smile.

"You know, if Adam is such a jerk, why do you stay with him anyways. You know, I saw how you were looking at Mr. Lightbringer from earlier. That look, I'll recognise it anywhere."

Alan joked, while he playfully threw and swallow several fruits that were as small as nuts.

"I don't know what you're taking about." Lilith tried to play dumb, but Alan caught her instantly.

"You shouldn't try to lie to me, Lilith, I can see emotions, and I know for a fact that you do not love your husband as much as you like to believe."

Hearing Alan's words, Lilith couldn't help but sigh. Compared to Adam, Samael was just perfect. In looks, his calm disposition and his beautiful eyes.

"I cannot. The creator made me specifically for Adam."

Lilith argued, while Alan sighed, seeing where all this was headed to.

'Sigh. So much for free will.' He sighed and chuckled inwardly, before he shook his head.

"If the creator truly have you all free will, then shouldn't it be your choice to decide who you should be with?"

Alan's question was like a bomb, exploding into the heart of the young woman, and tearing apart all her doubts and fears. And not realising what consequences his actions was going to have, Alan continued. In his opinion, he considered Lilith a friend, and just wanted her to be happy.

Meanwhile, a figure watched the entire scene play out with a small on her face. A young woman with long dark hair, pale skin and dressed in a gothic style.

"Interesting. Let's see where all of this goes."

She smirked and then disappeared instantly.
