A second teacher.

"What do I want? Nothing. I'm merely interested in you, Alan.."

Death's smile on served to elevate the trepidation in Alan's heart, as he cursed inwardly.

"How do you know my name? I don't believe we've met before?"

Alan took a deep breath and wiped any ounce of a smile off his face, before turning to look at her.

"It might sound strange, but I have been observing you, Alan. Ever since you forcefully nullified the restrains and binds of mortality and the laws of death."

Death walked and took a seat on a small rock, before she crossed her legs regally.

'Shit! She's been stalking me!'

Alan quickly unleashed his blade and pointed it at her.

"What the hell do you want from me?!"

His voice was raised due to the surging fear and wrath in his heart. Being stalked by a cosmic entity wasn't really something to be joyful about.

"I told you, Alan. I am just interested in you."

Death stood up and walked towards him, once more, sizing him up and down.

"Look, I don't know what 'interested' means to you, and Im certainly not interested in finding out why, so please leave!"

Using air clones, he delivered his words carefully and then sheathed his blade.

"Why don't you come with me for a moment.."

Death waved her hand, and the next moment, Alan found himself before a beautiful mansion in the middle of a desert, that was filled with the rotten carcasses of a multitude of lifeforms.

"You can come in. I do not bite."

Death snapped her finger, and the door to the mansion opened before she gestured and invited Alan in.

Building up the courage within him, he took a deep breath and entered the mansion only to be stunned by the interior. It was glorious. That was the only way, Alan could describe it.

Everything was made from crystal, and was suffused with a golden glow.

"To think even Death was a fashionista."

Alan's words while subtle, caused Death to raise a brow, however, she gestured and invited him to take a seat before her.

"Is this some kind of afterlife? Why did you bring me here?"

Alan questioned, but she waved her hand, and suddenly two cups filled to the brim with a reddish liquid appeared before them.

"Try it, I'm sure you'd like it." Watching the disgusted expression on his face, she took a sip first and encouraged him to try.

"Fine. I won't die anyway.."

He dipped his finger in first and tasted it, as his eyes widened in surprise.

"Okay, it's good. But tell me why you brought me here? I don't have all day."

He admitted, and then raised his voice once more, inciting a laughter from the beautiful woman sitting opposite him.

"I just want to talk, Alan. I have no intention of harming you, or at least not yet."

She smirked while Alan raised a brow and stirred up the energy within his body in case of a possible altercation.

"First off, who are you or what are you? And where did you come from?"

She declined in her seat and looked him in the eyes while asking straightforwardly.

"My name is Alan, as you already know, I'm a human, which should be obvious to you, again, and I have no memories of my past."

Gaining access to the ability to see through emotions, he had learnt to hide his very well, and began lying with a straight face, employing subtle facial expressions that made him look pitiful, like a lost child.

"Why don't you have the essence of the creator in you, and what is the golden wheel behind you?"

Turning towards wheel, Death furrowed her brows and asked another question.

'Creator's essence? What the hell is she on about? Hold on, essence? As in his seed? Could it be? Ewww that's fucking disgusting!'

He nearly threw up in his mouth after understanding what he thought the creator's essence meant, but still kept a straight face.

"First off, I have no idea what the creator's essence means, second this is wheel, my friend."

His expression was unwavering, as he spoke and even smiled in the end.

"The creator's essence is a seal hidden within the very building blocks of every organism that identifies us as children of the creator. It is a seal containing a speck creator's very own power and genetic makeup."

She explained, as Alan nodded and shrugged.

"So what? You mean I am not a part of the creator's creation?"

He asked me it's his eyebrows raised as if he was surprised.

"That is what I am trying to find out." Death sighed and then shook her head.

'I cannot read his mind and emotions. It is as if there's some sort of blockage that my powers cannot go through.'

"And what are you going to do when you find out?"

Alan sipped his tea indifferently but stole glances at her.

"If you truly are not a part of creation like I think, then the Endless will have to come a decision whether to eliminate you, or monitor closely. But if it turns out otherwise, then they'll just let it be."

She sipped her drink and spoke, as Alan nodded.

"Eliminate me? I don't think that's possible. If you've been stalking me for all this while, then you should know that I don't die."

Alan rested his cheek on his fist and spoke with a stoic expression.

"I am well aware. But, there are fates worse than death afterall. If your confidence is in Lord Samael, then I'm afraid to tell you that, he wouldn't be around for much too long."

Death smirked, as Alan furrowed his brows, as if he didn't know what she was talking about.

"The only reason why the Host of Heaven haven't already taken extreme measures against you is because, Samael is keeping you protected and hidden with his own essence, which I believe will not last for very long."

Alan couldn't help but remember what Samael's sister had spoken on that fateful day.

'It seems that fool, Samael has shared with you his essence.'

He furrowed his brows as the words resounded in him.

'She said that when she saw my wings. Right! My wings!!'

Alan's expression changed, as another memory flashed within his mind.

'Are those your feathers? Why are you giving them to me? Aren't they supposed to be precious?'

'You don't expect me to carry you on your little sightseeing, now do you?'

He sighed and clenched his fists, before gulping down everything in his cup.

"Your bond with him is unique, a bond that he does not even share with his own blood brothers. It is a shame that it was never meant to be."

Death sighed, as Alan furrowed his brows.

"Right now, there exists only a fine line of filial piety between him and the host of Heaven. And I don't think it would be too long till they really discover who you are. After all, you have already come into contact with another archangel. I wonder what will happen then?"

Death's expression was calm and composed as she spelt out each word with clarity that fell onto Alan's ears.

"I can't let this happen. I need to grow even stronger. Strong enough to protect us from them!"

Alan banged his fists on the table hard and stood up.

"You've gained access to the realm of life, Alan, and that alone grants you a battle prowess capable of destroying multiple planets, but what about gaining access to the realm of Death, my realm. How strong will you become?"

She spoke enticingly, as Alan furrowed his brows.

"And I assume you'd want to help me? What happened to fates worse than death earlier?"

Alan scoffed.

"The Endless are my siblings, but unlike them, I don't share all the ideals that they do.

I'm more of a go with the flow kind of person."

Death smirked while Alan rolled his eyes.

"And why would you want to help me?"

He asked once more.

"Because I'm interested in you, Alan. Besides, I just want to see how all of this will turn out."

"Of course you can still let Samael train you if you want." She scoffed and took a sip of her drink.

"No. He might be the strongest, but he has a lot going on right now. Besides, I wouldn't want him to be aware that I'm trying to get stronger to be helpful in case of an all out war with Heaven."

*BOOM!*

The moment Alan finished his statement, Death smiled and waved her hand, summoning a massive blast of an inky black energy that smashed into Alan's figure and sent him tumbling into the distance.

"Heh. I guess it's time to train."

Death laughed and waved her hand, causing the mansion to disappear in an instant.

Meanwhile, Alan crashed into the ground and puked blood, before he waved his hand, summoned his blade and unsheathed it.

.

Earth, 3 days later…

A glorious figure landed in the Garden of Eden and folded his wings into his back, and began looking around for his friend.

His search was cut short immediately as he turned around and noticed the beautiful figure of a woman behind him with her head bowed.

"What do you want?"

Samael asked and furrowed his brows.

"I want to thank you for the last time, my Lord.

Thank you for sparing my husband's life."

Lilith spoke with tears in her eyes and refused to look him in the eye.

"You don't need to thank me. I did it for your sake. Why do you have to stay with someone like him, if he treats you badly!"

He raised his voice and cleared his throat instantly and turned away, after slipping.

Lilith was a bit stunned, as she raised her head and looked at him for a moment, before she rushed to him and hugged him, ignoring his annoyed expression, something she had clearly learnt from Alan.

Samael was infuriated at first, however the scene of a young girl crying in his arms tugged at the strings of his heart, and he lowered his arms and allowed her to embrace him, and after a while, he patted her hair gently.
