4 Chapter 4

Lorelei accepted my plea without a second thought. No, I had a feeling that even if I didn't ask, she would try to help me in some way.

Such a difference between her and all the others I met today. Perhaps she is special and I managed to meet her with fortune's favor.

"I know all too well what lurks in the hearts of Terrans, greed and selfishness...Men like Mengsk are everywhere. Even if there are some people that differ, there are far too few.

I've read old reports about James Raynor. He was special too...like Lorelei."

I sighed. Thoughts like these surfaced on my mind and kept me awake.

I finally managed to find relief from the thoughts that plagued my mind when something far more fearful rose to the surface.

"I might...be stranded here on this planet with no way home. That reality has been at the back of my mind all day, held at bay from all the new things I saw and experienced."

I wanted to return. I wanted to complete the rite of Shadow Walk and become a fully fledged Dark Templar, a Shadow Hunter. And even join the ranks of the stoic and powerful High Templar.

That had been the goal of my training. To do something no one but Tassadar himself has ever done.

The realisation and fear that came with it gripped my heart like a vice.

Then, I noticed lightning crackled between my fingers.

"Not good! My mind is a mess. I'll need to meditate before it's too late."

And meditate I did, until I finally got my powers under control, calming myself and in the process, managed to drift off to sleep.

I woke up the next morning and my head felt like it refused to wake up.

Voranis: What is going on? Did someone drug me?

It took most of my willpower to get up but the strange things didn't stop there. I felt a pressure in the area below the navel and not only that, something was poking out from the place between my legs.

"Terran bodies are so weird."

Still, I felt embarrassed for some reason and with a bit of relocation, I managed to have it in such a way that it didn't show that much.

I was about to exit my room when I remembered about the time I spend a few weeks on a research facility on Kothas 3. There were a few creatures that had a similar long thing that they used to mate or relieve themselves.

"I remember now, the act was so vulgar and barbaric. I definitely wouldn't partake is such practices."

Unlike creatures like those, the union between two people of the Protoss race is a sacred moment where two mindscapes unite and become one. From that union, a new life will be born.

Grumbling about my new physiology, I left my room which was on the opposite side of Lorelei's. I reached the cooking station room which I found out is called kitchen and met Lorelei.

Lorelei: Good morning Voranis. The bathroom is at the end of the hall to the left. Oh, if you pull the rope and the toilet doesn't flush then pull a little bit harder since it does that sometimes. Go and I'll make coffee.

Voranis: O-Ok!

Not understanding half of what she said, I entered the so called Bath Room. I saw 3 main parts of the room. A place that looks like the sink of the kitchen, a tub with a device that's able to shoot water and the last one should be the toilet.

After a few embarrassing minutes of trying to figure out how to properly use the things in here and the stiff thing between my legs, I went to the kitchen.

Lorelei: How would you like your coffee Voranis?

Embarrassed, I scratched the back of my neck.

Voranis: I...I don't know what that is...

Lorelei: Oh right!

She took a cup, poured some black liquid and dropped two white cubes inside.

Lorelei: Try this, it will help you wake up.

I held the cup and took a sip. It had a strange taste but I didn't dislike it.

We talked a bit before she asked me to move some stuff here and there. It was an easy task since my new body is fit. Later in the evening, she taught me how to use a device called laptop. It looked to me like an intelligence gathering device that Terrans used, only less advanced.

I couldn't use it for too long cause it was part of something called house rules. Still, I got some information about this planet and how it's split into different countries. I also got some other information but I didn't understand it and decided to check it indepth next time.

Before I went to bed, Lorelei informed me that tomorrow we'll go for a resupply trip called groceries.

"I have so many things to learn and I still haven't made headway with what I set out to find. I forgot to do that with the laptop today..."

I sighed

Voranis: Tomorrow I guess...

I spent some time trying to get used to my body and mainly my legs and then fell asleep after a bit of meditation.

The next morning I got up and noticed that this thing was erect once again. I sighed and went do the bathroom.

Today I attempted something called bath. The experience felt so amazing and I felt so much excitement that even the thing between my legs was also excited.

"I might even get addicted to this bath."

After drying myself, I wore my clothes and went to the kitchen.

Lorelei: Good morning!

Voranis: Good morning to you too ms. Lorelei. Can I have some coffee?

The morning was the same as yesterday until something loud rung.

It startled me and I stood up reflexively.

Voranis: What was that? Alarm?

She laughed and went towards the door.

Lorelei: Relax Voranis, that's the doorbell and it lets you know that someone's at the door.

She gave me a quick explanation and opened the door outside as if she already knew who it was.

?: Good morning grandma!

I heard another woman's voice. It sounded happy and energetic.

Lorelei: Good morning Cynthia! Come in!

I heard footsteps indicating that they're coming here.

Lorelei: There's someone I want you to meet.

Cynthia: Alright!

They entered the kitchen and Lorelei spoke.

Lorelei: Cynthia this is Voranis and Voranis this is Cynthia.
