Chapter - 1: Project Typhoeus

-----------------

[Cadmus Research Facility]

[Monster Zero Pov]

The alarm of the klaxon was loud as the lights shone on the flashing screens. I could see glimmers of yellow, followed by a flash of red, past the door to the lab room.

I finally opened my eyes as my thick metal capsule shook slightly from the commotion outside, while all around me the green suspension liquid that I had spent most of my time in since I was supposed to be here began to drain.

A small laugh could not escape my lips, and then another, and I did not stop until I remembered exactly how messy this whole thing was that was happening to me, and there was nothing I could do to fix my situation.

And if I'm being completely honest, being in the DC Universe wasn't really the dream I wanted to follow in my life. Especially when I realized how difficult it was to focus on anything in particular with the combination of memories swirling around in my head.

To make matters worse, I had quickly lost track of how long I had been trapped in this fuck lab:

Days?

Weeks?

Months?

I didn't know.

I knew that I was alone in this shithole, with only a few memories to comfort me and try to maintain a minimal sense of the reality I was in.

Practically different memories had flooded my mind. There was no mystical awakening, a higher dimension had certainly not opened up to grant me some important celestial treasure to give me some enlightenment to ascend to a higher realm or something.

Most importantly, there were no earth-shattering effects that came with my new wisdom, I simply remembered two previous lives as if I had seen them from an outside perspective, like in a documentary.

All the information my old *human* had about Dragon Ball and the DC universe had gone through my head, trying to help me in some way and not make bad choices that could send me down a path that would do me more harm than good.

Unfortunately, I had already tried to escape a few times, but to no avail: Every time I tried, they would put some strange green liquid into the capsule, and I couldn't help but feel very weak, really not being able to move a single muscle in my body.

But fortunately, after all this time, I seemed to have developed some resistance to the green liquid in question, which I must admit was very much appreciated.

But all this was not very important at that moment....

Because I had to admit that a couple of times since I woke up in the capsule, just to find myself in this situation, I had to say that it felt like I was in the middle of a storm where the world was spinning and a lot of people were screaming.

A sandstorm where I could feel every grain of sand coming at me. I could feel my irritation rising every time it happened, I had never been so irritated in my whole old life.

But this time I felt the frustration and anger explode inside me, and then the anger, the burning rage, and the paralyzing frenzy. With this motivation, I slammed my body against the thick metal that contained me, not even worrying about hurting myself, but I doubted that such a thing could happen since I was a completely different being than before.

A machine at the top of the capsule pulled on the feeding tube as the last of the liquid was drained from the capsule. A pneumatic hiss was muffled by the loud alarm.

Then the various things attached to me were lifted and I could feel my whole body truly welcoming me as I felt my power in the reality of this world. A feeling of euphoria that nothing else could have given me.

I gradually lowered myself until my feet touched the bottom of the tank. Immediately I figured out how to adjust my body to stand and balance optimally as the glass of the capsule itself began to rise with a small hissing sound and I finally freed myself from the strange device, observing my surroundings with a cold look on my face as the alarm sounded once again in my ears with great annoyance.

Who am I?

My feelings towards the world around me did not change, even after knowing what exactly I was now. With these new memories I could close my eyes and understand the evolution of this world, secrets became clear to me, I now knew things I could never have known before.

I stretched my back slightly and felt something I had never felt in twenty years of my life. A monkey tail began to move behind me as if it had a life of its own.

What a refreshing feeling.

A tail, how funny. It was almost fragile in its aesthetics, but its power did not come from its manifestation. It was more conceptual in nature than physical, regarding an innate trait of my new race to be able to unleash the dormant innate potential within me.

I took several slow, steady breaths to stabilize myself emotionally, after all it was my first full breath in an indeterminate amount of time, I felt the cold air filling my lungs and after a while my mind had calmed down.

Not that I really needed it, but old habits die hard, and for the moment I observed that this room was the only thing left intact on the whole floor, it was not hard to see that something had happened before I released.

I stood still for a long moment, processing what had just happened, dazed with disbelief as sounds began to become more recognizable. Quiet sounds of nature, the ones I had put on I phone to help me fall asleep.

I was only able to look at my surroundings when I took a quick look at my body, which was completely naked at that moment, but even then it didn't matter much.

My laughter faded, my chest rumbled.

I was finally free...

I approached one of the flashing screens with various notifications, looking for information that might help me in this situation. I took a moment to try to understand the text before reading it in my own voice for the first time since I woke up in this world.

"Critical electrical failure. Specimen storage protocol initiated. Sedation system damaged, repair personnel contacted. Further diagnostics required. Processing in progress..."

I turned away from the screen as I heard a loud crash in the corridor, followed by the sound of more crashes. A few seconds later, the annoying alarm disappeared, leaving an eerie silence.

Returning to the screen, I used the queue to tap the notification, which expanded into further details for which I had little context, then tapped three times at the bottom of the screen, once to delete it and twice to open something called...

Project Typhoeus.

The file opened and a summary appeared: "Experimental tests with unusual genetic material, resulting in the fusion of some powerful DNA with a human source in an attempt to increase its latent potential, with very promising results.

[Subject #0 exhibited superhuman levels of speed, strength and endurance upon completion, but this increase came at the expense of some of his mental abilities. It also appears that the ████ source was temporarily suppressed in Subject #0, we do not yet know the exact reason, but we have some theories that we should continue with several experiments]

[Subject #0 was then developed, destined to grow into a new being, currently beyond the various developmental tests...]

I was I... A being created from this sample, developed from fused DNA's, an image of me floating in the capsule attached to the bottom of the file, which I could see projected on the screen in front of me at this moment.

The result of the Typhoeus Project.

Saiyan

Doomsday

█████

"What... What fucking abomination am I?" I could only mutter in a shocked tone as I carefully read the information in front of my eyes, which only increased the doubts inside of me.

I was not too surprised about the first two DNAs that were used for me, since I had their set of memories that I could look at whenever I felt like it, since they were technically from my previous incarnations.

And since the scientists knew exactly what a Saiyan was, they had obviously been able to penetrate the attack pod system that belonged to Slider and apparently found some information about the computer functions of said ship and learned a lot about it.

But there was also good news: The Saiyan race is not that scientifically advanced, really just a group of athletes using the technology of the races they conquered, none of it really revolutionary, comparable to Earth's DC technology. Healing capsules, power sensors, spaceships, etc. already exist in various forms, used by villains and heroes alike.

But from what I could tell from my memories, it seemed that my second DNA was not from the newer version of Doomsday who had adapted to most of the powers in the universe.

What I received was an older DNA sample, the DoS (Death do Superman) one to be exact, when Doomsday was killed by Superman upon his arrival on this planet.

Not that it mattered, there was infinite potential in me, after all, not only did I have Doomsday's DNA, but also that and Saiyan, with those two I could already consider myself the strongest creature in the universe.

After all, one had to remember Doomsday's origins, a prehistoric Kryptonian, a deadly machine of pure destructive carnage, a mindless beast that was incredibly strong and almost unstoppable once it began its rampage.

It was a creature so powerful that it killed Superman and humiliated the new god, the ruler of the apocalypse, Darkseid, many times over. And I could say something like that without any hesitation, after all I had his memories in my head....

From what I remember of the comics in my human life, Darkseid even managed to empathize with Superman for the first time in a long time, if not ever.

Doomsday's commitment to slaughter and death also makes him an enemy that Darkseid has no chance of intimidating or controlling. For unlike Superman, Doomsday has no moral or emotional core to break, and would fight to the death against any opponent in front of him.

Darkseid's fear was somewhat prophetic, as Doomsday would go on to kill Superman himself. There is only one living being who could truly end Darkseid forever, and Doomsday is at the top of the list.

Then there were the Saiyans, an alien race of fierce fighters, violent, aggressive and extremely proud beings, also known as warriors and conquerors of planets. The Saiyans have the reputation of being the highest potential and most powerful warriors in the entire universe, known and feared almost everywhere.

Saiyans are a humanoid species; they are externally identical to humans, differing only in the presence of a long, monkey-like tail that is present from birth and allows them to transform into Oozaru. They are also much stronger, faster, and more resilient than normal humans. Their DNA has the ability to take over the DNA of any other species.

As if that were not enough, Saiyans can also constantly grow in strength, to the point where even the gods cannot really keep them in check, and at some point they will surpass them as well.

They also have various enhancements that multiply their already terrifying power, even various divine forms can be obtained either through training with the gods or through a ritual with 6 "good-hearted" members of their kind.

Yamoshi was a good example of this; it was a shame that he did not get used to his new divine form before facing Slider, otherwise there was a good chance that he could have won, thus bringing the Saiyans of his universe up to the level of those of universe six.

However, it really was the strongest race in their fictional world without a doubt! But there seemed to be much more potential in my body with this last DNA in my body.

I really wanted to know who was the group of idiots who had tried to create such a monster. I also really wanted to know what would happen if I did not take control of this body, I did not even want to think about the possible consequences of what might happen...

I could only scratch my head in annoyance, "What the hell am I supposed to do now?" I am in the DC Universe, a world of high danger and equally high power, with various cosmic beings roaming the world.

Well, again, nothing that would make me beat up all cosmic beings, but I am already much stronger than most people this of world. At least I can't die, and apparently even if I did, I'd just come back stronger.

The only good thing about all of this was that I had a lot of memories to rely on, there was just one problem in all of this that would not be so easy to solve without a little training.

My two previous reincarnations were beings that could be described as forces of nature in human form, using only pure physical force to destroy and break any opponent that dared cross their path.

So I would have to do something to solve this problem, as it seemed foolish to rely on physical power to get by, since it should not be forgotten that there were many beings in this world who used energies from other dimensions.

While I was lost in my thoughts, I could hear the alarm getting louder as the notifications on the side of the screen increased, so I put my problem aside for the moment.

[Intruders in the building! Do not engage! Shelter in place if you are in Section 6, otherwise proceed to the nearest Security Center. Begin evacuating Sections 1 and 2 after securing all active projects]

[The Ω protocol is enabled! Delete all files associated with the current Typhoeus Project...]

[The Ω protocol is complete!]

I didn't even have time to read the latest system notifications I could hear from somewhere below me, a buzzing sound began to rise in my ear as I could hear several fights taking place not too far from my position.

Whatever this blood is, it can't be good, can it? How can I get out of here? A few touches on the screen told me nothing, so I moved into the hallway. A glow to the right showed some crumpled shapes on the floor and several red stains dripping down the wall.

I followed signs that led me to several doors that took several seconds to close after opening. After a minute, I entered an area with a horror movie atmosphere.

There I saw two young girls, who looked to be about 16 years old, fighting a group of deformed beasts that looked like a cross between an alien and a predator.

What a strange situation...

But I guess I shouldn't be that surprised, after all it was in the fucking DC world where even a normal human can become a multiversal threat or worse.

I'm looking at you, Batman Who Laughs.

Shaking my head from unhelpful thoughts, however, I focused my attention on the first girl, who was a beautiful light-skinned young woman with long platinum blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail, with cold dark gray-blue eyes, wearing a mask that covered her left eye and left her right eye uncovered, but partially covered the upper part of her face and was tied like a bandana.

She wore a light gray body with a white collar that covered her entire torso and arms, but a black bikini-style tank top with gray straps, shoulder pads, black and gray gloves, tight black pants that emphasized her sexy figure with armor on her thighs, knee pads, and black boots with gray soles and plating on the back of her feet.

She killed all the abominations in front of her without showing any emotion on her indifferent face, the only reason she was the first one I paid attention to was because I had to admit that I was fascinated by her fighting style.

[Picture ---> Rose Wilson]

I don't know why, but for some strange reason, I felt that I could easily imitate her fighting style and improve it to suit me. But after thinking about it for a few seconds, it actually made sense, since I was a Saiyan with a natural ability to fight, so I could instinctively imitate the fighting style of others with a glance.

Anyway, the gun her was holding moved incredibly as all the bullets tore through the air and the rhythmic sound of gunfire echoed in rapid succession. Each bullet was perfectly aimed, hitting numerous targets with head shots, precise shots that hit even moving targets with frightening accuracy.

In contrast, the second girl, on the other hand, had a pale white complexion, long orange hair with little red curls, and wore a black and green spandex that seemed to be made of some unknown material, but what made her stand out was definitely her sexy and sexual figure that made her look like a little goddess that had not yet matured.

She seemed to have powers that included precognition, as she easily dodged various attacks without even looking, as well as many different psionic abilities; she couldn't help but remind me of Marvel's Susan Storm as she created a telekinetic field to protect herself and her friend.

[Picture ---> Lilith Clay]

I have to admit that my knowledge of the DC universe was very limited, in contrast to what I knew about the world of Dragon Ball. But I had managed to recognise at least one of the two girls, how could I not when she had appeared in one of my favorite series as a child.

I quickly put my thoughts aside, given the situation I was in, and noticed that there were no sounds other than a few agonised groans from the beasts, which seemed to excite the white-haired girl for some mysterious reason.

But suddenly a scientist stepped forward, holding his injured arm with obvious anger and frustration on his face. "No, no! This cannot happen. We were making progress, I'm sure of it! More time and we would had made it. But these little girls have to get in the way of my work!" shouted Dr Hamilton, who was in charge of this task.

"Old man, it's not our fault you have performance problems!" shouted Rose with a big smile on her face as she continued to struggle with no intention of stopping; she really seemed to be enjoying herself.

"Come on Rose, don't be so mean, no one taught you to respect your elders," The orange-haired girl asked as she sent another monster flying with a psychic attack.

Hearing her 'friend's' words, Rose couldn't help but roll her eyes dismissively as she used her katana to pierce the head of another abomination and replied in a scornful tone, "And you were never taught to shut up and suck Lilith!"

"No, not yet," Lilith replied with the ever-present smile on her face as she continued, "Maybe I wasn't as lucky as you, I'm sure you have more experience in this area than I do, after all I know you like big, muscular men."

"Bitch."

"Slut."

Rose and Lilith continued to fight as they hurled dirty insults at each other, but even so their teamwork was still very good with no monster able to stop their advance.

From what I could observe Dr Hamilton couldn't believe his ears, his perfect project had been ruined by two teenage girls who were fighting for stupid reasons.

And in that moment of despair, he finally realized that I had freed myself from my capsule and was fully awake, that his greatest creation was finally walking this world.

"Ha ha ha! I'm not the one who dies today! You will face the last soldier of this universe! You woke up too early, but that does not matter now, attack and show this world your overwhelming strength #0!" replied Dr Hamilton maniacally, confusing the two girls who finally noticed my presence.

"..."

But contrary to Dr Hamilton's expectations. I did not move from my position, completely ignoring the order I had been given, just continuing to observe my surroundings, trying to get used to this new reality.

Meanwhile, I could hear both Rose and Lilith watching the spectacle unfold before them, with no intention of intervening, continuing to fight the creatures in front of them.

"Wow, what a fucking big cock..."

"...Bitch, focus on the fight!"

I could only tilt my head in confusion as I saw my body completely naked for the first time. But I was not ashamed, on the contrary, I had to admit that what I saw made me feel very proud.

It seemed that the saying was true that the body can influence the mind, just as the mind can influence the body. In fact, I had already changed a lot since waking up in this new world.

I'm not even sure if it was my Saiyan body that affected me or if it was just my new way of thinking. Well, since I have the memories of being Saiyan and Ultimate (Doomsday), they should be part of my mindset now, right? Well, that's trouble for the future.

"What are you waiting for, #0, kill them and then escort me out of here! You are my creation, you have to listen to my orders!" Dr Hamilton ordered cruelly, with a certain fear in his face.

I ignored his order again, as I ignored the growing unease inside me, and walked in a direction that should have led me to the exit of this building, as I had no intention of staying here for another second.

"No!" Dr Hamilton shouted behind me with obvious urgency. "No, N65, N8 and N21, stop him! This matter is too important to let him get away like this!"

I didn't pay much attention to his shouting, my attention was focused on the only goal I had in mind, and that was to get out of this lab and see this world.

Three monstrous creatures, clearly the products of failed experiments, turned their attention from the two girls in front of them to me. I made no attempt to evade their attack, allowing them to begin their assault on me as they approached.

The term 'attempt' is appropriate, as I barely bothered to turn my head to acknowledge their presence. Sensing their proximity, I quickly swung my tail, sending one of the monsters crashing into several pieces of machinery, destroying them in the process.

The failed experiment lay crumpled with an obvious hole in its side from which much blood spilled; it was obvious that it would not be able to fight any longer, in fact I doubted that it would remain alive for long.

The other two creatures, undeterred, launched coordinated attacks from both sides. I grasped their heads effortlessly as they struggled against me, their feeble attempts at resistance yielding minimal results.

I watched with detached interest as they writhed and screamed in agony, my grip tightening with each passing second, my arms seemingly growing in muscle.

"Clack" "Clack!"

Inevitably, their heads erupted in macabre pools of blood. I watched the macabre scene with a sense of indifference as the spectacle failed to surprise me.

My strength, in a nutshell formidable and indomitable, was evident and this only increased the feeling of pride within me as I displayed my overwhelming power.

I turned my head and looked at the man in silence as the unease within me rose again, but I kept myself under control... The last thing I needed was to lose my mind and destroy everything around me.

I looked at the quivering form of fear of the man before me, "I was created by a rather pathetic man, eh," I managed to think as I approached in slow steps, after all he had nowhere to hide from me.

"It seems they were not able to indoctrinate him as they thought in those research notes." The orange-haired girl commented as she turned her lens on the dt. Hamilton, "At least not completely, what do we do?"

"The mission doesn't change, we bring him back. When he's done with his lookout or whatever he wants to do with the old fossil and we're out of here, I don't want to deal with the chick squad."

"Yeah, it would be a big pain in the ass if they came too," Lilith easily agreed with her friend's opinion, but she still had no doubt in her mind, "What if he doesn't want to come with us?"

"He'll come with us..." Rose said in a tone that left no room for argument, but if I listened closely enough I could detect a bit of nervousness in her tone, she clearly wasn't sure about her statement.

Was I ignoring the discussion between the two girls that I could clearly hear as I stood in front of my creator? Honestly, my gut told me that the person in front of me was just one of many pawns involved, and that there was much more to the depths of the creation of this project.

But he was the one who had attacked me, right? So I could take that as a battle statement against me, and I certainly wasn't going to back down just to be locked in a container again and decide to throw away the key.

Suddenly, as if something answered my doubts, I felt an invisible, literal energy hovering over my body, enveloping me like flames and acting like flames as it swung back and forth.

Not only could I feel this energy, but it was not just on my skin. It was also underneath it. Under my muscles. In my bones. Flooding my organs. Running along the signals in my nervous system.

As I tried to manipulate this energy out of my body, I could feel an abnormal energy that I had never had before buzzing through my body as if it had always been there, waiting for me to use it to my advantage.

"Evil Aura: Floating Shadow Hand" Digging into my memories, I felt a nostalgic feeling envelop me as a large red shadow hand formed near my body. It seemed like I had used this technique many times in my long life.

And if I really had to admit it, I didn't want someone who knew me so intimately to share all my secrets just to have access to a high-quality laboratory to continue his experiments.

"No! No! Stay away from me, I am your creator, you must do as I say!" he shouted desperately as he tried to escape. Unfortunately for him, I manipulated my Ki as the Shadow's hand reached out and slowly tightened around his body until he finally crashed in a pool of blood.

'Have people always been so fragile?' I could only think, first I wanted to knock him out so he could answer my questions and give me a complete picture of my situation.

Besides, having a scientist by my side could be very helpful if I really intended to live a good and long life in this new world. But it seemed that I had used too much force, and now I had killed a human.

Well, thinking logically, I had simply eliminated a potential threat to me so that he could not develop countermeasures against me anyway. Right? I have to admit that watching this scene made my head and chest hurt physically, my stomach twisted into knots and I felt like I wanted to throw up everything in my stomach, but I decided to ignore this guilt for now and think about it later when I would be in a calmer place to think better about my future.

A/N: I trust you find satisfaction in this chapter.

Happy holidays to everyone <3< strong>

Within these chapter, I meticulously examined Mc's responses to the world surrounding him. My aim was to illustrate the stark contrasts from the previous narrative, providing ample context to immerse you deeply into the unfolding story.

Considerable attention is devoted to Mc's acclimation to his newfound physical form in this chapter. The significance of a Saiyan's tail is emphasized, shedding light on its importance.

That leaves the female characters, as this story was started because I had never seen Rose as a main female character. As for Lilith, she was introduced for an upcoming story arc about the Greek gods.

Looking ahead, the forthcoming chapter promises a departure from the current tone. Anticipate intensified fight sequences, showcasing Mc's prowess without excessive embellishment, reserving the zenith for future developments.

A pivotal moment unfolds as Mc takes the life of Dr. Hamilton. This deliberate choice serves to unequivocally portray the consequences of persistent irritation and the potential havoc unleashed when his formidable powers are unbridled.

From my perspective, this decision harmoniously aligns with the overarching storyline. Mc, a potent entity finally emancipated, finds himself attacked upon attempting to depart, compelled to employ more force than desired in response to the relentless onslaught.

On the other hand, if you want to see something specific in the next chapters, or even just have some good advice for the story as a whole, I am always willing to read a comment if it is constructive criticism.

If you see any mistakes, I would be grateful if you would point them out to me, so that I can correct them when I have some spare time, and make the story as complete as possible for myself and especially for you.

To facilitate a clearer understanding, I've retained pictures of the respective characters. Your feedback is always valued, and if you have any suggestions for the upcoming chapter, please feel free to comment—I'll be sure to respond as usual.
