Dr. Fate landed on the ground and moved closer to Isaac and Giovanni.
"I'm just a victim of the circumstances."
Isaac jokingly responded.
"Perhaps..." (Dr. Fate)
He just stared directly into Isaac's eyes.

Isaac spoke with ridicule in his voice.
"Nabu, Kent, I brought Isaac here because I consider him a friend and I trust his character." (Giovanni)
Giovanni connected the dots when Isaac spoke; he didn't like it, and it was visible with the stern tone that Giovanni used to speak to Dr. Fate.
Dr. Fate just looked at Giovanni, then looked at Isaac again.
"Very well, tell me Isaac Kent, what is your goal?" (Dr. Fate)
His tone softened a little.
"My goal, huh, I think, is very simple: I want to protect this planet, his people, magic, reality, and everything that I hold dear."
"Ha, ha, you really are..." (Giovanni)
This was the first time that Giovanni heard about the motives behind his actions.
"And for that, I need allies that could help me protect everything; after all, there's only so much that I can accomplish alone."

Giovanni nodded to that statement. He knew how difficult it is to fight alone, but with a team, you can do so much more.
Giovanni looked at Dr. Fate; he was staring intensely at Isaac without saying a word.
"Very well, Isaac Kent. I will not interfere with your plans, but remember The Lords of Order and I will keep an eye on you and your people." (Dr. Fate)

This time, Nabu was caught off guard.

The ring was made of a strange material that, even with my appraisal, I couldn't identify. Its appearance was silver in color with a blood red gem in the middle. Inside the gem, you could see energy moving in circles like the eye of a hurricane.
I put the ring on my middle finger in my right hand, and as soon as I put it on, my mind felt refreshed, like I just woke up from a good nap.
