A Bleeding Pencil

Gotham City Harbor,

A freighter class ship had recently docked at the harbours of the city but what was different about this ship was the number of illegal goods it carried.

As soon as the ship docked and rested several cars came barging into the port beside the ship with a regal classic black Bentley following them from behind.

Soon the car came to a halt as a fat man who had stood in wait approached the car and sat in.

"Mr Falcone." said the man as he gave a simple nod.

"Are you sure about doing this" asked the man looking back at the crates that were being unloaded by the Falcone goons. "Stealing the other families' stocks."

"Flass I gave you one job of finding how my goods were getting caught by the other gangs which you spectacularly failed and now instead of burying you six feet under I have given you a second chance. So you better keep your damn f*cking mouth close."

"But the majority of them are the 'Bloody Pencil'."

Flass seeing Carmine's rage on his nose tactfully decided not to enrage him further as he sat there in silence.

"Do you have any idea where the Bat is?" Carmine questioned suddenly as he exhaled the smoke from his cigar.

"There has been a case of multiple psychotic breaks in the Arkham Asylum something to do with fear as they kept mumbling. He's most likely there."

"Good I don't want any hindrance."

Several mercenaries, thugs and workers were either patrolling or transferring the contents in the crate or the crate themselves.

One such thug was walking between two crates with an Uzi in hand when he heard some noises.

~WHOOSH

The man once looked around as he heard the fluttering sound of clothes but couldn't find anything.

Thus the man turned around only to meet with the cowled bat with his face upfront prompting the man to try to lift his gun to meet with a chop on his hands.

The Uzi dropped below making the man lose his sense of security but under the influence of his adrenaline, he tried to punch the Bat only to get a gut-wrenching knee making him drop and scream.

"Ahhhh!"

The wailing screams of agony and pain resounded in the area alerting a couple of men nearby who immediately made a run for the general location.

Reaching the location all they saw was a passed out man with his drool oozing out uncontrollably.

Being attentive to their situation they picked their guards up as they crouched slightly and made their way to check on the man.

It was at that moment a black figure glid landed behind them as he immediately knocked out one man while taking the other on a chokehold.

"Where is Boogeyman" a gruff heavy tuned voice sounded from behind the mask as he questioned the man in his chokehold threateningly.

"Ah.... ah.." the man on the other hand took long breaths trying to breathe as well trying to calm down his raging heart that felt would pop out at any moment.

"SPEAK!"

"We... We don't know," he spoke with much effort.

"LIES!" snarked the Bat losing the choke but immediately punching hard.

"Now Speak!" he asked again.

"I swear man I'm speaking the truth. I... I'm here just on Falcone's order man." spoke the man hurriedly in case he got handled roughly again.

Not getting any answers the Bat simply headbutted the man into unconsciousness and left him there as he grappled up.

Meanwhile Flass and Carmine grew agitated as they heard the scream. Reassuring the Falcone and instructing him to leave Flass loaded his revolver and ran to check with a couple of mercenaries.

Carmine though walked out of the car as he too took out a revolver calmly trying to find anything weird in his surroundings he heard noises of grunts and pain in the far distance until total silence ensued making him more and more agitated which broke into hard sweats as a body landed on the roof of his car making a big dent and all windows were broken.

Approaching the body he heard the moans of pain which he recognized to be Flass. In shock, Carmine staggered back landing on his butt trying to crawl back until he got obstructed by a firm body.

Looking up he came face to the dread of the night, the Batman.

"You're not Carmine." said Batman as his visor ran a test resulting negative.

"Hahaha... Did y... you really think he'll come himself."

Batman didn't listen further opting to simply neutralize him. Turning back he brought his forearm up to his ear as he spoke.

"Alfred, There are no signs of the Boogeyman and even the Carmine is fake."

"I can see that Sir. Perhaps the news of Carmine's action broke to the Boogeyman."

"Then why send a fake unless..." muttered the Bat as several cars came barreling in, the Bat watched on with squinted eyes "...it was a trap."

Immediately the Bat went into action trying to flee instead of engaging for their was no gain to fight unnecessarily.

Long after Batman had left, the fake Carmine woke up as he limped to one of the cars and seated inside.

Taking long breaths the fake Carmine raised both his hand behind him and peeled off the skin from his face and took a deep breath.

"I so do love masks, always saves my skin. HahahaHAHAHAHAHAH."

This man was the future Crime Lord, Black Mask.

"Oh, how I anticipate the show the Boogeyman and Carmine show me." he said with a chuckle as he signalled the driver to drive.
