22 Chap 21: Playing with Fate

Today is finally the day to go back to DC.

I spent the day saying goodbyes and take cares, it was an enjoyable time in this universe not gonna lie, how much time did I spend here exactly you ask?

All thanks to these comic universes laws that make it all possible.

""Zanee"" yelled the Young Justice.

"Oh hey guys what did I miss" said Zane after crossing the portal and it closing right after.

After taking a look around he noticed that everything was solved like he remembered should happen, it also proved that his device brought him exactly the place and time he wished to.

Zane can travel across dimensions/universes but can't choose the time neither the teleporter device he made can, but after a lot of studies and experiments back in [FD] he found a way to come approximately around the time he left that why he he used the device instead of trying to use his Dimensional portal powers.

As for time travel, he still need to work on that.

Before anyone can continue asking any questions Zatara noticed the helmet was vibrating and moving in his hands, seconds later it flew from his hold all the way to Zane who already took notice of that and chose to see what will happen as he found it interesting if what he was thinking will come true.

I decided to make him my host, he shall serve as Doctor Fate from now on so Zatara your sacrifice won't be necessary anymore"

Everyone became confused again.

Batman had his suspicions as he earlier tried to get ahold of Zane but couldn't find him and the last record of him being seen is inside the Zeta teleporters and then he vanished, and now he has an idea of what happened.

The team then went on to approach him asking questions about where has he been and explain what happened. I told them I was Stranded on another universe and had to take time to build something to come back not too much information but the necessary.

Batman, Zatara, Red Tornado and Captain Marvel stood aside listening and observing me closely.

"Batman, what should we do? while I'm grateful but Fate is indeed needed in this world." Said Zatara while a little bit happy he didn't have to wear the helmet anymore as Fate himself said so but he is also nervous because of the treatment it got and knows it can't be left like that, a necklace.

After that everyone decided to go back to the base Batman leaving me a word to not go anywhere to ask more questions and 'check' that nothing dangerous happen because of the helm- Necklace.

I copied Zatara's Homo-magi physiology, due to Nabu's distraction even if he sensed it it would have been pinned on the helmet so no biggie. Now with the little bit extra magic talent and affinity added to the mix, learning everything from Nabu will go without a problem, I am still receiving his magic and feeling my reserves getting bigger and larger I even took a peek at all his memories while donning the helmet and I will continue later until I learn everything he knows.

That was really lucky who would have thought it might happen.

Couple of days went back with everything returning to normal and everyone readjusting to their lives. Zatanna still joined the team despite what happened but she is still moving her stuff here but taking her time.

Seems Zatara decided it is best to entrust her to Batman since he doesn't know what will happen from now on with helmet on my neck.

Speaking of it, I spent my time learning and adjusting myself with my magic.

Anyway my magic training is coming along, I don't seem to have problem learning anything aside from some long ass rituals or spells I tried what I can in my room or at the beach nearby, if something I thought is too big, flashy or powerful I try to go to some deserted place or take it up to the skies near space, so yeah I'm pretty much having fun learning and discovering new things it even baffled Fate how fast I'm doing it.

He knew I was the perfect host but he didn't think it was to this degree.

Magic is cool and all but what I discovered is that it's not that convenient for some spells. For example the elemental spells are not as powerful or fast as my elemental power even teleportation lag behind, in normal battles it may be nothing major especially battles against sorcerers or magicians or whatever they calls them here.

But in a real life and death situation it can be disastrous, sometimes all it needs is one second and you're finished, your enemy won't even spare you this one second just so you can cast your spell. But it's still good to have especially some rituals and old knowledge, like the history of the world and magic in general. The gods, lords of Order and Chaos etc..

What I am most interested in is detection and scrying magic, dimensional magic and when and who's not to get the attention of. And ofcourse Enchantment, sadly the knowledge Fate has about it is not that powerful. Can be useful and be done in a lot of stuff but it's not that powerful like you see in those fics.

No Excalibur or Yamato for me I guess.

They do exist in DC multiverse actually. Maybe see if I can get my hands on them.

I will continue to study it and magic in general nonetheless but I suppose I won't be use it that heavely, It's something about the rule of this multi/universe make them work like that. Maybe in the future if I visited some magical anime world like Fairy tail or Black clover I can learn more. Even Harry Potter might not be that bad. Meh, will see in the future.

Magic aside Batman came along with Zatara and demanded I give Fate back because he's 'needed' and 'necessary'. If they were powerful enough against a lord of Chaos or made some real effort in dealing with him permanently he won't be honestly. Only if they knew he's only 'necessary' because some dick measurement between the two sides.

Order and Chaos my ass, they don't really need to send Avatars to earth they only do it for fun and nothing else.

Anyway I obviously refused, I am still not finished with him yet the dude has century of knowledge I can't learn them all in three days no matter how genius and talented I am. Zatara tried to argue about the balance of the world and some bullshit, and I argued if he really want to be the helmet slave's or did they find someone else and advised him to spend time with his daughter which got him to shut up and back down and Batman to get angry.

I will obviously give it back I have no intention of keeping him with me who knows what those 'Lords' can do, I doubt they have anything that can kill me permanently but who knows. They are silent for now. They know, they definitely know what happened but they can't peep on me or interfere directly or the Lords of Chaos will interfere too and all hell will let loose if that happens.

Anyway I told them I will give him back when I am done. Probably pissed the whole League by that but who cares I will be leaving them soon anyway. I have several plans in my mind that I'm not sure what to do exactly or where to start. I will either improvise or leave it to fate. Hahaha, can't wait to make fun of the guy in the future.

Finally back to Dc, there won't be any travel outside it multiverse for now and a long time too.

- What do you think about the way I gave him magic? There are a lot of way Zane can get magic but I found this way the most profitable and less troublesome. Imagine sesrching for Homo-magis and magicians around, that will be a lot of work and I don't know any of them.

-Magic is naturally not easy to learn or master but Zane is not your 'normal' talented or genius he's a level or two above those and have good control and mastery on all his powers plus he trains them everyday either mentally or physically.

-Zane will soon separate himself from the League and the Young team permanently and will be doing his own thing so keep reading to see what.
