2 02

[A few days later]

The conversation that had taken place on the rainy night that had fallen had not let go of Ivy's mind. Every now and then the thought of "What if?" popped into the redhead's head. Hour after hour, day after day, that very thought kept lingering in her mind.

She had trouble sleeping for the first few days. She could lie awake for hours with her eyes closed, and all she could see was darkness.

The girl tried to distract herself from the heavy thoughts, but everything else seemed so small and insignificant compared to what was lurking in Pam's heart.

Who would have thought that because of one burning conversation, she would have to go through so many problems. Even her "children," as she called the mutant plants she'd grown herself, noticed her distress.

"It's okay, you worry too much about me" Ivy smiled weakly as one of the vines gently touched her cheek in an attempt to comfort her. She was pleased to receive such attention from her own creatures.

"Pfft!" chuckle with laughter Pamela, as several vines gathered into several figures that started to show all sorts of jokes "All right! All right! That's enough, I'm not sad!" she smiled, and then gasped in surprise "Hey! Let go of me!" The vines joined together and tied around the supervillain's taut body, lifting her into the air. "Let go of me!" A second later, the girl's mesmerizing laughter resounded through the abandoned factory where Ivy had taken up residence.

Pam hadn't even considered somehow starting to be rude to her creatures, that wasn't why she had trained them and put so much effort into developing mutant plants, it was unexpected that she would have the strength to awaken the rudiments of self-awareness in them, which would only develop afterward.

Ivy's mood had indeed improved. Catching the emotions of their hostess, the living plants came to joy, and the plants were happy, because the emotions were positive, although there were still hints of sadness, but that only meant that the girl's creatures needed to step up the pressure!

"Thanks, guys. I do feel a lot better! But, next time, no more mischief!" Pamela said with a sincere smile, and after waiting for an obedient nod from the monster-like plants that they would not mischief around anymore, well, only with her permission, she said "I think now I know what I need to do!" She murmur confidently, and there was a fervent gleam in her eyes, clearly expecting problems for others.

A few more days passed, during which time Ivy was able to come up with a plan and prepare thoroughly. The plan was devised that same evening, in that gray, unremarkable factory.

But to put the plan into action required money, lots of money. And to get it in Gotham City was quite a problem. Batman is always ready to come and catch Poison Ivy, shoving her into Arkham, just give him a reason and it will happen.

So Ivy made a strategically important decision to find money in another city, specifically in New York. As far as she knew, there were no permanent superheroes there, and therefore the money-making case would go as well as possible.

The very stage with the extraction of money was to rob a New York bank, there are not as many guards there as there would be in the same Gotham or Metropolis.

"In and out..." Pamela whispered with one lip, a little nervous, to tell the truth, this was her first bank robbery and that's why she was acting like this.

"Is everything all right, Pam?" Selina asked her, smiling contentedly. There's nothing like a common cause to inspire!

Ivy had been thinking for a long time whether to go to the case alone or to call a person who knows the business. And after careful consideration, weighing all the pros and cons, the girl decided to call her thief friend.

Harley...it's simple, the clowness had a little too much to drink and was left to sleep it off in a bar, parting with Joker is not easy for her.

They had to take a high-speed train to the other city, six languid hours in the baggage compartment, and here they were. In New York.

If Kyle didn't have to hide much, and she was dressed more openly, the green-skinned feminine had to make up her fingers, palms and backs of her hands, as well as her face; the rest of her body was hidden by a long cloak and pants with shoes. Selina had personally helped her choose the clothes, so even so, Pamela looked very nice.

"Yeah? It's fine" She answered a little slow down.

"Don't worry! Everything will be all right; with your soporific gas there is absolutely no obstacle for us!" Kitty, noticing the doubt on Pamela's face, supported her, and a smile of excitement crept over the thief's face.

Ivy nodded confidently, as had no doubts about her strength, and stepped forward to the bank. Seeing the girl's relaxed face, Kyle grinned and followed her. And circling the girl pulled her by the arm.

"We don't want the scanners to pick us up as soon as we get in, do we?" To emphasize the point, the cat deliberately tapped her belt, where something metal rattled "I brought a couple of tools with me, in case need them" The thief smirked slyly, pulling Pamela with her into the alley.

"Uh-huh" The girl replied simply and let herself be dragged into the fetid place. Even though the cities were different, places like this weren't too different from each other.

"So...it must be around here somewhere..." Selina looked around thoughtfully for something "Ah, there!" she exclaimed a little.

"Can you get it? although, I know you can! Go on, break it! Just be careful..." She pointed Ivy at the security camera that was just above the wide door.

Pamela only smiled at this and began to work, a small thick twisted vine appeared from the sleeve of her cloak, which immediately slid to the ground and swiftly rushed to the wall, on which the camera was fixed, a dozen seconds and the vine reached its destination. The vine wrapped itself around the camera several times and squeezed the camera, which caused a lot of sparks to fly out of it, and the camera itself became quite dented.

"Oh, that's good! Maybe we should go out on a case together more often" Kitty winked cheerfully at Pam, the girl seemed to be enjoying it more and more.

"Maybe" Poison Ivy snorted.

"It's about to start" The Cat Thief whispered and walked forward, straight to the door, followed by Pamela.

Standing on such a side that they would not be visible when opening the door, the girls began to wait. Less than a minute and a half later, the door creaked plaintively and began to open, and a dissatisfied voice could be heard behind it.

"Fuck! If that junk gets shorted out again, I don't know what I'm going to do to Carl!" A squeaky, angry man's voice grumbled.

Hearing it Selina stepped forward, meanwhile Ivy concentrated a pinkish haze in her palm, which streamed through the small flaps of the door.

"Hello, pretty boy!" Kyle exclaimed in a charmingly attractive voice, looking into the eyes of the obese middle-aged man. The enchanting voice instantly penetrated the tightly-knit man's mind, and he blushed uncharacteristically.

"H-Hi!" he replied a little dazed, looking around a bit.

"You don't mind letting me and my friend inside, do you?" Kyle licked her plump lips with her tongue, attracting the man's attention even further.

"Girlfriend?" He raised his eyebrows, his greasy gaze already searching out the named one.

"Yes, yes, that's right!" The thief said affirmatively, and Ivy appeared from behind the door.

"Finish with him. He's already lost in wet dreams".

"All right! Bye-bye, handsome!" came a seductive voice, and at the same time the sound of a falling body.

Once inside, Selina and Pamela looked around, and it was only a matter of time before they got in. The first one elegantly threw off her outer garment, underneath which she hid her costume for secret affairs.

"Here comes the ventilation, give me a seat" said the professional thief Ivy. She helped her friend, but her makeup was starting to come off, so she had to hurry.

"You go straight to the vault, and I'll visit the security post and the server room".

"Good!" Ivy replied, completely choosing to rely on her close friend for this one.

While Kyle was looking at the security post at the beginning, falling on a puny man like a snowball, then turning off the cameras, and then climbing back in with the help of an office chair, simultaneously making a small jump and getting back into the ventilation, then to get to the server room and restore female order there. Pam, in turn, moved into the vault.

When she got to the vault, she prepared herself, as she didn't want any unnecessary noise, so she decided to use the easiest way to knock them all out at once. Sleeping gas, that was the solution to the problem. She wasn't worried about Cat, because she'd given her the antidote before they'd even gotten to the bank, so she was calm.

Feeling the slow heartbeats below, she moved down the steps with a sense of accomplishment. It really was just a matter of doing the little things.

When she got downstairs, she found five bodies lying who-who-where. Some were lying on the floor, seemingly standing before the gas had taken effect. Some were just sitting there, slumped over, like they'd dozed off. But it was clear that the armed guards wouldn't wake up for a while, so Ivy started what the whole thing was about, the robbery!

"You haven't started yet, have?" A recognizable female voice came from upstairs, and then the owner appeared, knocking down the bars.

"I was just about to" Pamela grinned as she watched Selina come downstairs.

Landing gracefully, she shook herself off a bit and walked forward, where a large door and a code lock awaited her.

"...Like this...like this...and...like this!" Kyle listened to the clicking sound,, and when the code was entered, the door was all that was left to open. Cranking the bank vault's wheel, the girls heard a distinctive creak, and then the door automatically began to open, letting them inside.

The two supervillains immediately began to open the boxes that held the coveted evergreen bills. The money immediately flew into the bag in bundles, not very neatly folded. The main thing was to rake in a lot of money, so that it would be enough for the main plan Ivy had devised, and the rest didn't matter.

"Shall we take some more?" the thief tilted her head questioningly to the side.

"No. This should be enough, with a little left over" Pam answered and noticed something wrong, suddenly all the sounds were gone, and she turned back around worriedly and saw the Cat frozen in place, looking in her direction with an unchanging foxy grin, except...she wasn't doing anything else!

"What the-" Poison Ivy was about to express her opinion, when she was interrupted by a male voice that came out of nowhere.

"Well, well, well! A bank robber who thinks that robbery is the right thing to do! Interesting..." he smiled an attractive smile, but it had no effect on Ivy.

"Who are you?" the girl asked cautiously, ready to confront the unknown at any moment.

"Me? I'm Lucifer Morningstar, owner of the Luxe Club. It's not far from here" he answered simply "And now it's my turn to ask a question. Pamela Lillian Isley, what do you really want?" His voice was hypnotic and penetrating, and attracted me at this moment like a magnet.

"I..." Her face became lost for a few moments, as if the girl was immersed in herself.

"I...I...wish for a son" she finished heavily, letting the air out of her lungs.

Afterward, she froze in place. The villainess's thoughts were in turmoil, darting back and forth. She was desperately trying to figure out who the man in front of her was. And how had he led her to such a revelation? The picture began to slowly come together and....

"Who the hell are you..." she spoke after a brief moment of confusion, but was interrupted before she could finish.

"Hmm...a little unusual, but accepted!" He waved his hand, and suddenly realized something and asked "Do you grow weed? Do you have any special varieties "for your own?"". (There should have been a pun about weed (drugs), but the translator hardly conveyed it completely.)

"What? No" Pamela answered instantly "Wait, why am I answering your questions? You got inside my head!" The girl frowned heavily, cursing her luck at the same time. She'd never met a mentalist, but she'd heard about them, and the rumors were not good.

"Hmm" The man chuckled "You could have made a lot of money out of this! But okay, it's up to you, but I strongly suggest you do it! It's a lucrative business" - Lucifer winked with a radiant smile, and after a second pause continued "If you think about it, you know where to find me..." the man finished vaguely and literally disappeared from his former place.

"Shall we take more?" Selina's voice came from the front to Pamela, for whom everything had been turned upside down in an instant.

"What did he call himself? Lucifer Morningstar?" The redhead's mind raced as she turned around to hear her friend's voice.
