18 Chapter 18: Diary

"We can just go back tonight, why wait for the train?"

Kite man sat by the lake at Hogwarts, holding his plate of food and asking, "We don't need to wait for the train. We have a flying motorbike. It's much faster than the train."

"That's true," Mason said as he calmly ate his food into his mouth. He glanced over at the blue motorcycle parked by the lake and said, "But that motorcycle doesn't use regular fuel, Charles. It runs on a special alchemical oil that I can't make."

"Oh, I see," Kite nodded, understanding that they needed to save the oil for emergencies.

Then, Mason put down his plate and wiped his mouth. He casually tossed a small, exquisite leather bag over to Kite, which fell at his feet.

Kite was surprised and picked up the bag to examine it, saying, "Isn't this the Dimensional Storage pocket that Old K keeps on his waist?"

"Yes, it's a Dimensional Storage pocket." Mason explained as he picked up his suitcase.

"Just like Old K said, it's like having a small warehouse with you. The password to open it is 'hunter'. Just think about it in your mind. It's yours now, and you need the old clothes inside."

Kite Man was somewhat bewildered. He looked at the magical creation in his hand and scratched his head.

"Um, do you want to hold onto it for now? You seem to need it more than I do."

"No need, I have something better," Mason said, patting the suitcase in his hand.

It was also a large-capacity storage tool Mr. Harry Potter's father left behind. The small, retro-looking body concealed an amazingly. The storage could hold a small estate with you. This capacity was far more huge than Old K's Dimensional Storage.

The most impressive thing is that the Extension Charm, created by the world's top alchemists and tailors, allows the user to freely design the inside of the suitcase.

In other words, as long as Mason is willing, he can build a small villa that can only freely enter and exit inside this suitcase. But this is still far from the limit that wizards in this world can achieve.

At the very least, Mason knows that a great wizard once built a small ecosystem in his suitcase and raised at least a few hundred magical creatures inside.

"I won't be polite then." The Kite Man grinned.

He tied the pocket to his waist and played with his new toy like a naughty child. Mason had already checked the contents of the backpack.

Kite Man was really poor, there was nothing inside except for the alchemy notes he left behind, some pharmaceutical materials, enough bullets, and a few clean clothes.

"Let's distribute the spoils after we go back, okay?"

Mason said. But Kite Man shook his head and said.

"No need, all the dangerous things were done by you. I didn't help much. This magic leather coat and this backpack are already enough to surprise me. Besides, I can't move freely even if we go to Gotham. Don't forget, K brought me out of Blackgate Penitentiary. I'm still an escaped criminal now."

Mason also shook his head and said, "Fairness is a rule, it's not a matter of whether you want to or not! And don't forget, I used to be part of the gang too, so I know how things should be done."

"Okay, suit yourself then," the Kite Man shrugged, glancing at the suitcase in Mason's hands. He then picked up his own gun and stretched his body, saying, "I'll go check around and grab a bite to eat."

Obviously, he knew that Mason would check the things in the suitcase. It was better not to be too curious at this time.

Mason took a few bites of food, then reached out and opened the black suitcase in his hand. Because he didn't trigger the Extension Charm, only a layer of ordinary items appeared before him.

The first thing that caught his eye was a jewelry box in a dark green color containing several irregular, blood-red, and translucent crystals.

In the instant he saw this, Mason held his breath.

As soon as he touched the thing, a system appeared in front of Mason's eyes.

'Contact with high-level alchemical creation analysis.'

Name: 'Ancient Alchemy Stone/Philosopher's Stone/Nicolas Flamel's Magic Stone'

Quality: 'Legendary Alchemy Creation · Perfect Craftsmanship.'

Traits: 'Matter Transformation, Low-level Reality Alteration, Immortality, Magic Conract, Broken Remnant.'

Effect: 'Holding the Philosopher's Stone can greatly extend the user's natural lifespan but cannot slow mental fatigue.

Using the Philosopher's Stone as an alchemical material can greatly improve the quality of alchemical products.

When using the Philosopher's Stone as an alchemical material and having a complete formula, the "Elixir of Life" can be produced.

When alchemy reaches level 2 or above, the Philosopher's Stone can be used as an alchemical material to refine the quality of alchemical creations or change the physical and magical properties of different materials.

When alchemy reaches level 4 or above, the Philosopher's Stone can be used as an alchemical material to increase the chance of producing "Supreme Craftsmanship" alchemical Creations.

When alchemy reaches level 6 or above, the Philosopher's Stone can be used as an alchemical Material to increase the chance of producing "Perfect Craftsmanship" alchemical creations.

When alchemy reaches level 8 or above, using the Philosopher's Stone as an alchemical material and having a complete production formula may produce "Legendary Quality" alchemical creations.

When alchemy reaches level 9, you can attempt to analyze the production guide of the Philosopher's Stone and include the production formula.'

Creator: 'Nicolas Flamel'

Item description: 'A priceless treasure for alchemists and anyone seeking immortality'

Important note: 'The Philosopher's Stone has been destroyed by a huge force, and while the fragments do not affect the value of the Philosopher's Stone itself, they cannot be restored to their original form.

Therefore, when used as materials for alchemy, they will be consumed as the number of uses increases, so please use them carefully.'

Mason placed a blood-red Philosopher's Stone fragment in front of him. In the next moment, he looked around cautiously, not because he didn't believe in Kite's appreciation at the moment, but because this thing was too hot to handle.

Old K came to this world just for this thing. According to him, there has always been a huge bounty for finding the Philosopher's Stone within the Star Society, but no one has been able to find it.

This means that even in the Star Society, where people can freely travel worlds to loot treasures, the Philosopher's Stone belongs to the category of treasures.

Mason's current knowledge is completely low to use this thing, except for the fact that it can grant immortality. However, Mason is only 17 years old now, and even with his past life, he is only in his forties.

So he cautiously closed the Philosopher's Stone in the box, put it inside the extension spell, and hid it at the bottom of the box space.

Mason patted his face to calm himself down.

Mr. Potter must have had his reasons for putting the Philosopher's Stone in the box before his death, and Mason felt that he needed to continue to explore.

Perhaps it could uncover the truth behind the world's Doomsday.

The other items in the box paled compared to the shattered stone, but they couldn't be too bad if they were placed together with the Philosopher's stone.

For example, the Elder Wand, which lay broken into three pieces next to it.

This was the last of the Deathly Hallows and the most seriously damaged. The system couldn't even provide specific labels, only stating that it required enchantment level 8, inscription level 8, and jewelry processing level 8 to repair it.

In addition, there were two books in the box, one large and one small, both in the traditional style of magic books, with metallic covers and black chains locking them up.

Mason picked them up and glanced at them. He found that they were the magic books of Grindelwald and Voldemort, each of which respectively recorded the Encyclopedia of Dark Magic and research on Horcruxes.

Mason was neither a wizard nor intended to become one, so this precious knowledge meant little to him.

He continued to search and found a small diary in a blood-stained woman's coat, wrapped in a red ribbon and looking quite delicate. This was Mr. Potter's diary, the only evidence that could unravel the mystery of the world's Doomsday.

"Crack"

As Mason opened the diary, something fell out and landed in front of the box, causing Mason to blink and pick up the object.

It was a shiny, golden antique key, exquisitely crafted and implanted with a weighty sense of history and time. A system gave it a unique label.

Name: 'Headmaster's Office Key'

Maker: 'Salazar Slytherin, Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw'

Effect: Safely unlocks the door to the Headmaster's Office without triggering any trap spells.

Item description: Find the door, insert the key, open the door, and take what you want. How hard can it be for an adventurer?

'So, the Headmaster's Office should still be intact' Mason thought, holding the golden key and looking back at the ruins of Hogwarts at the center of the lake under the cover of night.

'That place must be hidden somewhere within these ruins, but I'm too tired now. Maybe next time' he decided, lying down by the campfire and resting his head on his backpack.

With a sense of anticipation, he opened Mr. Potter's diary, but the handwriting on the first page was messy and chaotic. It was not something a well-respected wizard would write. The disorganized notes meant that Mr. Potter was in a very bad situation when he wrote this.

'Hermione is dead.' This first sentence made Mason's eyes widen, and he eagerly continued reading

'She was caught between the red light falling from the sky and the shattered ground right in front of me. Half of the elite Aurors of the Ministry of Magic were also destroyed with her. We were no match for the enemy, and we were defeated. And the enemy was only one person. Professor McGonagall's guess was correct, this disaster was man-made.

As I write this, I have just escaped from the battlefield of the Ministry of Magic and returned to my alma mater. I am waiting for Hagrid to escort the young wizards to join me. At this terrible moment, Durmstrang Institute came to our aid, but communication with other schools and the Ministry of Magic has been completely cut off. I don't know if the whole world is safe, but I doubt it. But what I'm most worried about now is whether we still have a chance to survive in the end of the world. My hand holding the pen trembles, and I can feel the magic and energy around the school gathering abnormally. The sky is darkening, which is a bad sign. Time is running out. If anyone can see this diary, please remember that this zombie apocalypse was caused by the dark objects hidden by those Destroyers in different parts of the world. They also attacked major governments simultaneously, just as I witnessed the Palace of Westminster being demolished by a black storm that came from the sky. Regular people's weapons are as powerless as our magic when facing them. I saw at least thirty Killing Curses hit that red light without any harm. When I was running away, the military was already preparing to use nuclear weapons. I know it's a desperate counterattack, but I hold a pessimistic view of the effectiveness of this weapon. I cannot guess the Destroyer's plan, but I know they had a plan. Today's destruction was not the beginning. It means that everything had already ended before we realized it. The virus is still spreading. My wife Ginny told me that she had worked with ordinary biological experts to study the virus. That thing actively seeks out all life and infects it. With our current magic and technology, we cannot decipher its secrets in a short time. As for the infected, they were already dead when they were infected. They are just shells used for evil purposes, and now I feel a special discomfort in my lungs. Oh my god, she's here! She descended like a goddess in the black storm and lightning. I saw Ravenclaw Tower crushed like a sandcastle. I saw the light in her eyes. She won't let us go, just like killing a nest of rats. Ironically, at the last moment of my life, I remembered those good days. Especially when I saw Hermione die with my own eyes, I suddenly felt that I should have been braver back then, instead of being swayed by stupid blood purity ideology. This may be a bit unfair to Ginny and the children, but who cares. We are all going to die. Ah, Shakespeare has depicted the end of the world countless times in his imagination, but I guess that great poet has never seen the arrival of the end of the world with his own eyes. If we weren't about to be destroyed, I would say that this scene is really spectacular. The end of the world has come, right in front of my eyes. The end of the world has come, right in front of my eyes. Perhaps the shattered resurrection stone in my heart had a strange reaction, but anyway, I saw Dumbledore and Snape, as well as my parents and Sirius, and Hagrid, who was laughing loudly, was also behind them. At this time, Professor McGonagall still liked to turn into a cat. Hmm, Miss Know-It-All, is that you? Don't worry. You just took the lead. I'll catch up.'

The writing in the diary unexpectedly ends at this moment, like an unfinished movie that leaves people uneasy. Mason closes the diary, and his face is far from calm under the light of the fire.

He has found the answer, but it doesn't bring him any satisfaction.

Feeling a mess inside, he leans against a tree and falls into a restless sleep after nearly an hour of silence. And in his dream, Mason wakes up on top of a tower in Gotham City, witnessing the apocalypse described by Mr. Potter.

A black storm rages across the sky as a dazzling sun descends from above.

The distant horizon is desolate, and beneath his feet lie piles of pale white skeletons. Their hollow eyes stare back at him, surging up like a lake and dragging the young man into their grasp.

In the dream, Mason cries out in desperation.

"Where's the Batman? Where's Superman? And where's Wonder Woman? Can't you see it's the end of the world? Someone, please help!"
