16 Chapter 16: Revenge

"That damn thing almost scared me to death!"

Kite Man flew all the way to the ruins of Hogwarts and landed on the ground with trembling legs. His legs gave way as soon as he landed and sat on the ground.

He threw the key he held far away like he was getting rid of a cursed object. That thing almost got him eaten by the terrifying three-headed dog.

"Bzzz, bzzz, bzzz..."

Kite Man, screaming in panic, rested for a few minutes before hearing a strange engine sound. He grabbed his gun and stood up, turning his head to see Mason driving a blue motorcycle with a rocket-shaped one attached to it.

The most unbelievable thing was that the three-wheeled motorcycle with the rocket-shaped was flying at least three meters off the ground, flying very smoothly.

Now, the Kite-Man finally understood why Mason took such a huge risk to get his hands on this motorcycle.

But as the motorcycle approached, Kite-Man suddenly pulled out his gun and yelled, "Stop! Mason, what is that thing in your sidecar? Why does it look like a zombie to me? Why did you bring that cursed thing over here?"

"Cursed? This is the savior, my friend! Show some respect," Mason retorted, controlling the flying motorcycle to land on the ground. He glanced at Mr. Potter, who was lying in the sidecar.

Although his body had been chopped to pieces by Old K, Mr. Potter, even after turning into a zombie, his shattered body slowly regenerated under the influence of some strange power in the few minutes they had been together.

This was definitely abnormal. So, Mason took the risk of bringing Mr. Potter out.

Kite-Man glanced toward the Forbidden Forest and asked, somewhat afraid, "Can those two monsters really kill him?"

"I don't know," Mason replied, rubbing his throbbing forehead. "If K thinks he can take them on, we must return and kill him to finish the job. In the meantime, let's rest up and activate the remaining engineering bombs. This is either his death or ours."

"Got it," Kite-Man said through gritted teeth, turning to grab Mason's backpack and recover the remaining twenty or so engineering bombs, one by one, and activate them.

Meanwhile, Mason jumped off his motorcycle and picked up his invisibility cloak, observing it closely. It was originally very beautiful, made of a silver-grey material he couldn't identify, and expensive.

But now it was covered in blood, making it look ugly and fearful. There was a chilling feeling wrapped around the cloak.

'Blood-stained Invisibility Cloak/Deathly Hallows

Quality: 'Epic Tailoring/Enchanted Item · Supreme Craftmanship.'

Traits: 'Concealment of Breath · Light as a Feather · Invisible Armor · Curse'

Effect: 'Wearing the cloak provides invisibility and conceals all life breath, making the user immune to most surveillance and monitoring. It also provides armor-like protection and prevents the user from entering the "Critical Injury" state.'

Curse: 'The cloak is stained with the blood of its user and has witnessed the extinction of the Ignotus Peverell family bloodline, and its magical power forms a threatening curse. There is a certain chance of failure when using the cloak in battle, which inflicts increasingly strong mental stimulation on the user.'

'This curse effect cannot be purified.'

Maker: Ignotus Peverell

Item Description: Don't trust a magic cloak that has been tainted by despair too much. It may be more eager to witness your death than your enemies.

Mason frowned as he finished reading the system. He pursed his lips and touched the blood-stained invisibility cloak, muttering to himself.

'So, as long as I don't enter into battle, it won't fail? This curse is really troublesome.'

"Mason, look!" Kite suddenly pointed at Mr. Potter in the car and shouted, causing Mason to turn his head. Kite said. "This guy has something implanted in him! It's a stone, a broken stone!"

"What?" Mason immediately looked at Mr. Potter and saw the strange object on his chest, which was implanted in his robes torn by Old K, near his heart.

Several gray broken stones were set in the position of his heart.

Mason narrowed his eyes, picked up tweezers, and easily removed one small piece from Mr. Potter's heart. It was as if the thing also yearned to break away from this dead body.

The small Stone reflected a cold light in the afternoon sunlight, causing Kite to tremble and step back continuously. He felt that this thing was not a good thing.

Mason stared at the small Stone and quickly saw its information in the system.

Broken Resurrection Stone/Deathly Hallow

Quality: Epic Alchemy · Supreme Craftmanship

Traits: Death Resistance·Soul Calling · Broken Curse

Effect: The holder can forcibly resist death, lock their life state, and use the resurrection stone as a medium to summon the dead spirit. However, the item has a natural curse effect. The longer the holder has it, the more irresistible mental pressure they will suffer, leading to madness or death.

Curse: After the Resurrection Stone is violently broken, its effect is uncontrollable, and it will continuously summon dead imaginary bodies to form a soul impact and inflict mental torture on all surrounding life.

This curse cannot be dispelled.

Item description: Look back! It's looking at you.

"Hmm?" Mason suddenly turned his head and unsurprisingly saw a broken imaginary body floating beside him. As he removed the broken Resurrection Stone piece by piece from Mr. Potter's heart, the face of the imaginary body became clearer.

It was none other than Harry Potter, who was now in his middle age.

This poor Soul and former savior had already died, but his broken Soul had been trapped in the stinking body by the broken Resurrection Stone and could not be freed.

"Who did this?" Mason saw Mr. Potter's spirit disappearing quickly in the sunlight, so he quickly asked, "Who did this?"

"Over there! Go to the top of Gryffindor Tower. I left everything there."

The shattered spirit had very little consciousness left. In response to Mason's question, he raised his finger. He pointed in a direction that disintegrated like soap bubbles before Mason's eyes.

There was a completely collapsed tower ruin, which had been burned to ashes, so Mason, Kite, and even Charles hadn't searched that place.

"That was a ghost just now, right? A ghost!"

Kite's face had turned pale with fear, and the encounter of seeing a ghost with his own eyes made him's legs shake.

This experience shouldn't have been encountered by someone from the world of the living. The poor Charles was under tremendous mental pressure, possibly due to the resurrection stone Mason had kept by his side, which had already begun to inflict mental shocks on him.

Mason didn't immediately set out to find the treasure. He took a glance at the zombie Mr. Potter in the cart.

After the resurrection stone was removed, the exhausted Soul that had been wandering alone in the ruins of Hogwarts for who knows how long could finally rest. His cursed body had also finally stopped moving.

There was even a bit of a creepy smile on his withered cheeks.

"Help me out, take him down and burn him, don't be afraid. He's dead, completely dead." Mason told the Kite Runner, who swallowed and was about to argue with Mason.

But he found that the new boss had already picked up his cat cage and was using the broken resurrection stone to help on the wounds of the zombie cat that had been blown in two. The Kite Runner suddenly felt that Mason, this young man, might be crazy.

He really seemed to want to keep this zombie cat!

"This thing can help you, Professor McGonagall, so be calm, okay?"

Mason used tweezers to pick up the gray resurrection stone and placed it on the broken spine of the zombie tiger-skin cat. One wasn't enough, so he added another one to the poor zombie cat's spine.

That's good, Mason thought. It was acceptable to keep a zombie cat as a pet, but if he kept an old zombie witch as a cat, it would be hard to explain if someone saw it.

"The remaining resurrection stone shards are left for Fang and Fluffy," the young man put the voodoo birdcage back into his pocket and wrapped the remaining pieces of the resurrection stone to give to Hagrid's guard dog.

That was a good dog too.

"Are you ready?" About ten minutes later, Mason poured the last sip of water into his mouth, fiercely grabbed his gun, and said to the Kite Man beside him.

The latter was a little timid but still nodded under Mason's gaze.

Mason spoke loudly "In this situation, there's no turning back, Charles. Bring the same courage you had when following the Joker in Gotham! For the sake of our future life, old K must die here! You have a son with your ex-wife, right? Don't you want to see him grow up?"

This sentence was like a key that instantly unlocked the Kite Man's, hesitant heart. The man in his thirties gritted his teeth and opened his Kite, shouting, "Damn Old K, Let's go. Let's kill him."

"Do you still want to fly your Kite there? The wind is against us now," Mason said, riding on his beloved flying motorcycle and patting the bike's compartment. He then said to his little brother, "Get on. We'll fly over."

At the entrance of the Forbidden Forest, not far from where Plastique was killed, and in front of Hagrid's cabin in the forest, the area had become hellish due to the intense battle. Hagrid's pet three-headed dog, Fluffy, is no longer arrogantly rampaging through the Forbidden Forest.

Old K used two sharp weapons to chop off the creature's three heads and then used enchanted explosive arrows to destroy its two hearts.

Of course, Old K paid a terrible price for this.

But as a C-level member of the Star Society and having experienced many life-and-death battles in at least ten worlds, Old K naturally had his own trump cards.

He wasn't just basking in his victory over the three-headed zombie dog. Using an amazing sword technique, he also engaged in a life-and-death struggle with the giant spider.

The latter's frontal destructive power was much weaker than that of the three-headed dog, but its innate ability to weave webs and poison, as a spider-like creature, allowed it to maintain a quite formidable trait even after becoming a zombie.

It might not be able to fight to the death in every battle, but it could drag powerful enemies to hell.

Old K was already at the end of his strength, but the giant spider was no better off.

After using the strange magic seal at the bottom of the box and expensive, holy arrows in combat, the bloated abdomen of the giant spider had been burnt.

Its pitch-black eyes had also been poked blind by Old K.

In theory, even zombie beasts should have the instinct to seek advantages and avoid disadvantages. By this point in the battle, they should have found a way to escape.

But what made Old K extremely puzzled was whether it was the three-headed dog just now or the giant spider in front of him. They fought him like they were crazy until the very end, as if Old K had done something to offend them.

The problem was that Old K's entry test was completed in this world, but at that time, he was just testing and hadn't even stayed for three days. How could he have provoked such strong magical creatures.

SPLASH

With such confusion in his mind, the exhausted old K swung his giant hunting knife and chopped it onto the forehead of the giant spider that had turned pale after being zombified. The sharp blade almost split the monster's head in half.

The latter's body burned miserably and trembled a few times before whining and falling down.

Old K was too weak to pull out his hunting knife. He grabbed the blood-stained sword and stepped back a few steps.

Then he heard a strange whistling sound, followed by more than twenty engineering bombs flying towards him, all of which exploded together, turning the surroundings into a fire.

But Old K didn't die.

A strange magical shield blocked the explosion for him, but he was too weak, and his legs gave out, causing him to kneel on the ground. He gasped heavily while tremblingly taking out his last ace from his bag.

It was a slender crystal bottle containing an amber-colored potion.

As long as he drank this thing, he could resurrect on the spot, and then he could go find Mason and Kite and bury them here completely.

Anyway, the harvest of this trip was definitely worth it. After all, Mason's world had plenty of weird and talented people, such as that gentleman from Gotham, Batman.

However, the old K, who had turned his back on the giant spider, did not notice that even at the moment of approaching death, the remaining few compound eyes of the giant spider were still shining with anger and hatred that could not be killed even by death.

Especially the familiar and cold breath emitted from the giant hunting knife that pierced its head almost drove the zombie beast crazy.

"Phew." With the last bit of strength, the sharp spider leg pierced Old K's body from behind like a piercing spear, causing Old K's hand to tremble. The amber-colored crystal bottle falls to the ground and rolls forward.

Old K screamed and turned around, cutting off the venomous legs of the giant spider with a sword, but the latter had already died completely from that strike.

He fell to the ground, reaching out to the crystal vial, and just as his bloodied fingers were about to touch it, a shoe from a silver invisibility cloak stepped on the vial.

In the eyes of the beaten and bruised old K, all hope became lost at that moment.

"I guess you must be curious why they went crazy and fought you to the death," Mason's hoarse voice rang out in this hellish forest.

He rarely spoke so much in front of others, as if he was saying goodbye.

"The three-headed dog in front of you is called Fluffy, the eight-eyed spider behind you is called Aragog, and the good dog whose claws you cut off and left to die at the doorstep is named Fang. Their only common is that they were all raised by Hagrid as children. So, I'm sorry, old K. But this arranged death is a personal grudge between you and Hagrid's loyal pets. You said, four days ago, you left me alone in Gotham. Nobody wanted it to come to this."
