13 Ch 13

It's been a couple of days since Black Canary and Red Tornado asked me to join, and the only instruction they gave me was to wait. Amélie is back from her trip; when I told her about what happened with the android and Black Canary visiting the shop, she was jealous since Black Canary is her favorite superhero.

Today's work shift has been extended due to many customers coming; I ask Amélie to go home first since I don't want her to stay late and her mother is picking her up. Closing late than usual, I decided to roam the beach on this starry night.

As I stroll, a figure appears from the ocean, an Atlantean with light blond hair cut at the bottom, deep brown skin, pale green eyes, high cheekbones, and a lean build. He possesses black, eel-like tattoos that run across his back and along his arms. He then approaches me.

"Nice to meet you again," he says to me, handing his hand for a handshake. "Good to see you too," I answer."Did the league give you my information?" I ask. "Red Tornado give me a briefing about you, as the leader of the team i was task to welcome you and guide you to the base," he explained.

"Iam Kaldur'ahm but you can call me Kaldur" he introduces himself to me. "Jack Morrison" I answer.

We began to stroll the beach heading to the mountain outside Happy Harbor. The base is inside the mountain itself. It was called mount justice in the past. Justice League first base until some of their enemies destroyed it, now it is used by the team and called The Cave.

We find ourselves at the bottom of the mountain, and suddenly a door appears and opens up, showing a gateway to the base.

Kaldur guided us toward the Lounge, where I saw two team members, Superboy and Miss Martian, waiting for us.

Superboy stares at me, looking quite angry, the man has a significant anger problem, and Miss Martian introduces herself " hey, I'm M'gann M'orzz. But you can call me Megan."

"Jack Morrison, Just called me Jack" I introduce myself.

We began the base tour as Megan told me about all of the room and facility, and Superboy following behind kept staring in my direction. As we walk Kaldur and Megan began asking questions about me.

"So what is your power?"Megan asks. "I don't quite know, i now that i can fly and i can create object using wind/air, i think like Red Tornado i can also create a tornado," I answer, showing them my power as I create a tiny tornado spinning in my hand. I also notice a reaction from Superboy as I mention my flight power. I think he is angry that he can't fly like superman. He doesn't know that he can't because of his Human DNA suppressing the Krypton DNA design by Lex Luthor, his other donors. I need to find a way to help him avoid him getting addicted to that shield provided by Luthor.

They also show me their mode of transportation, a Zeta Tube that can transport them. Aqualad tells me I will get my authorization to use it after I officially join the team.

I leave the base but not before asking Superboy and Miss Martian to come and visit my shop. if they wanted to try some delicious Burger and Smoothie.

NOTE :

I am sorry that if you think im rushing the story, i did it because i wanted to hit the 15k word mark, and now i will try to plan more for the future before writing the chapter because before i just write ahead before any planning and just go with anything that happen.
