Chapter 228: Your Son?

Jo-El crawled up from the ground, the towering and somber figure of Amazo, with twisted blue veins protruding like varicose veins all over his body.

"Kal, you will be the strongest!"

Jo-El's face contorted in madness, his eyes bursting with bloodshot veins. After crawling up from the ground, he quickly manipulated the four metal pillars that opened parallel universes, activating them to their maximum power.

The wall lit up with glaring lights and warning sounds.

Jo-El ignored them, knowing that he didn't have much time left.

H'el already knew he was hiding here.

Something must have distracted him, preventing him from focusing on him for the time being.

He probably only had a little time left.

"Defeat him, kill him, my son, Kal!!! You are the strongest Kryptonian, you are the pride of the El family, you are the hope of Krypton's continuation!"

Jo-El's twisted hatred and ferocity stared at the trembling body of Kal on the operating table, his unconscious face furrowing his brows, emitting muffled groans of pain.

On the ceiling of this room, layers upon layers of parallel universes shimmered like mirrors, reflecting a splendid galaxy. They were opened by Jo-El in countless numbers, and the energy index they conducted had become so terrifying that even a slight leakage would be enough to destroy the entire Earth.

Suddenly.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

The four metal technological pillars that distorted space with gravity and opened parallel universes could not withstand the unlimited infusion of extraterrestrial energy. They began to produce unstable electromagnetic reactions, irregular distortions in gravity, and were subsequently affected by the energy, causing a violent explosion. The wildly destructive energy was about to pour towards the Earth.

H'el stepped out from the void, his face no longer carrying the heavy weight of years passed in the past timeline.

"Jo-El, it's time to end this."

H'el's voice echoed from the void, his black figure rippling the airwaves as he strode out from space.

With a casual wave of his hand, the instruments that opened parallel universes and poured out energy were instantly moved by H'el into outer space, leaving only a small amount of energy to rampage here like a raging storm.

In the distant Ursa Minor constellation, on a solitary neutron star, four giant technological pillars suddenly appeared, only to be forcibly torn apart by the neutron star, bursting into a small burst of fireworks before fading away.

"Hahaha... H'el, you're still too late! Kal will absorb the energy of many parallel universes and become an existence surpassing you. He was born to me, the most powerful Kryptonian! He embodies everything about Krypton! He continues the hope of the El family. He will become the god of the new Kryptonians!"

Jo-El's righteous and resolute face, with widened eyes and a sinister smile, greeted H'el as he approached. "You can't stop Kal anymore!"

Jo-El stood proudly, and the nanotech battle armor on his chest began to surge, constructing a diamond frame around his chest, with the El family's emblem inside.

He adorned himself with the red and blue battle suit of the El family, wearing a fierce grin as he stared at H'el.

The parallel universe space on the ceiling, after losing the four technological pillars, could no longer be sustained. Like a torn mouth, it ceased to exude energy and slowly began to close.

The body of Superman on the operating table, trembling from absorbing immense energy, gradually calmed down.

The red and blue nanotech battle armor, densely packed like ants, began to surge from the back half of Superman lying on the operating table, covering him. In an instant, he was clad in the El family's emblem-adorned battle suit.

H'el activated his microscopic vision, penetrating through, and looked at Superman lying on the operating table.

He had once exchanged his essence with Jo-El's on the past Krypton, creating Superman within Lara's body.

And he had infused some of his psychic power into Superman's body, suppressing and hiding the expression of his own genes.

Now, he didn't know if this Superman was the one he created or Jo-El's son.

But soon, H'el reached a conclusion.

Through his microscopic vision, he saw the stability of Superman's cell, the DNA polymorphic gene loci, the rflp and snp gene linkage maps, all highly coincident and similar to his own.

Especially the DNA fingerprint map, where almost every band could be found in both his and Lara's maps, and they matched. This type of banding adhered to the classic Mendelian inheritance law, where each parent contributes an average of 50% of their traits to their offspring.

Genetically, it was evident that this Superman was the one he created, his son.

What further convinced H'el was that the psychic power in Superman's body was identical to his own, originating from him.

H'el retracted his microscopic vision and gestured lightly. A portion of the psychic power within Superman's body flew out, no longer concealing the expression of H'el's genes.

"What do you want with my son?"

Jo-El did not see any reaction from the psychic power, but upon seeing H'el's actions, his entire body exploded with fury, his face contorted with bulging veins, his eyes wide with rage, not knowing what H'el intended to do to his son.

However, having experienced the feeling of helplessness and anger when H'el extracted his psychic power and speed force, he couldn't bear the thought of his son being treated the same way by H'el.

In a fit of rage, Jo-El's veins bulged as his fist exploded through the air, tearing apart the chaotic airflow around him. His red cape billowed behind him as he lunged towards H'el.

*Boom!*

A violent explosion rocked the space, sending ripples of airwaves spreading out in all directions. The immense force, like a hurricane, swept through the surroundings, compressing and bursting the air.

A sonic boom erupted between H'el's palm and Jo-El's fist, overturning everything around them.

"Your son?" H'el's indifferent face curled into a smirk. "Look closely, this is my son.."

Jo-El was stunned.

Never in a million years did he expect H'el to say such a thing.

What did he mean by "his son"?

Jo-El instinctively turned to look at Kal lying on the operating table.

On the table, Kal's eyebrows twitched lightly as he slowly awakened from his slumber, raising his massive body endowed with immense power and opening his eyes in a daze.

Kal, who had his genetic psychic power suppressed and concealed by H'el, began to manifest the external traits of H'el's genes, with his azure eyes slowly turning deep black from the center, gazing deeply at Jo-El, locking eyes with him.
