Chapter 17: Genetics

"Let go of me, let go of me!"

"You're all so ugly!"

"Humanity doesn't even compare to one of his hairs."

"Ugly, foolish! Ah!! Ah!! Ah!!!"

Cery struggled madly, her hair disheveled. She was carried by soldiers, and she cursed angrily and cried out in fury. Her black silk-clad legs kicked erratically, completely lacking composure, as if she had gone mad.

Finally, she was roughly thrown into a nearby detention room. She tumbled to the ground, her hands swollen and bloodied from the friction.

She propped herself up and got back on her feet. Her swollen palms clenched into fists, and she pounded the iron door vigorously, shouting loudly, "Let me out!"

"You idiots!"

"You don't even know what you're doing!"

"Ah!! Ah ah ah!"

"I wish I could kill all of you!"

Cery cried out in pain, her eyes swollen and red, as she went berserk, pounding on the door and scratching it with her fingernails, which burst into bleeding. She dragged her fingertips across the iron door, truly going insane, screaming uncontrollably.

Noticing that there didn't seem to be any guards outside the iron door, Cery's swollen, teary eyes casually scanned the detention room. She saw a camera in the corner that was monitoring her. She quickly grabbed a chair, placed it under her feet, her hair disheveled, her tear-stained face twisted, and she leaned into the camera in anger, shouting wildly. She grabbed the camera with both hands, shaking it back and forth until it came loose.

After pulling the camera down, Cery continued to pound on the iron door in her frenzied state. It took her a moment to realize that no one was responding to her.

"You're nothing more than a bunch of filth from pigsties!"

"A combination of sewer microorganisms."

"Let me out!"

"You're all just meaningless lumps of flesh in this world!"

Cery, with disheveled hair and an overly cold expression, continued to curse everyone around her while acting out of character. Occasionally, she kicked the iron door.

She cursed at everyone while her demeanor remained icy. In the meantime, she removed the thick-soled high heels she was wearing and knocked the thick soles off the two shoes, revealing eight small test tubes securely fixed inside.

"I'll kill all of you!!"

"You humans who have made me lose faith."

"Ugly and despicable creatures."

"Why does this kind of blood flow in my body?"

Cery cried out in inner agony, her rationality giving way to crazed mutterings as she cursed at the iron door. Meanwhile, she began to open the eight small test tubes.

A familiar odor of highly corrosive acid, refined from monster blood essence known as "Blue Venom," began to emanate. Blue Venom posed a deadly threat to humans, causing severe skin corrosion upon contact, and inhalation could lead to coughing, pulmonary edema, and respiratory problems.

"Boom...".

Gunshots and explosions from within Anchorage Base could be heard. The explosions were so powerful that they caused the detention room to shake. In an unfortunate moment, Cery accidentally spilled some of the Blue Venom onto her fair-skinned arm and the ground, producing a sizzling acid smoke on the floor.

Cery remained focused, quickly grabbing a towel and wiping the Blue Venom off her pale arm. The skin at that spot was left with two paler marks compared to the rest of her skin. She then continued her furious rant against all of humanity, maintaining her icy expression while efficiently concocting chemical compounds.

Finally, Cery grabbed a stainless steel washbasin, filled it with water, and poured the synthesized Blue Venom solution into the water.

A large amount of blue toxic smoke emerged from the washbasin and diffused into the air.

Cery choked and dry heaved a few times, her eyes momentarily turning white. To ordinary people, this was a deadly poison, but to her, it was simply foul-smelling and nauseating, with no other effects.

Cery used the soles of her feet, encased in black stockings, to push the stainless steel washbasin away from herself, unable to bear the unbearable stench. She was on the verge of vomiting.

After a brief pause, Cery quickly mixed the remaining Blue Venom with a chemical solution, creating a potent acid. She then splashed it onto the lock of the steel door. Immediately, she retreated to a corner of the room, crouched down, covered her ears, closed her eyes, and held her breath. Her cold yet disheveled face crinkled with discomfort.

The strong acid corroded the iron door lock, producing a noxious smell. Within seconds, it created a large hole in the door.

Unable to contain her excitement, Cery turned her head to see the destroyed lock and the gaping hole revealing the corridor outside. She couldn't help but laugh heartily, breathing heavily. Her exhausted body, drenched in sweat, had her eyelids drooping, and the whites of her eyes had streaks of red.

She quickly rushed over to pull open the iron door, which made a creaking sound as she did so.

"Ha... Hahaha..."

Already exhausted, her hair clung to her sweaty, disheveled face. Her eyelids were heavy with fatigue, and the bloodshot eyes of Cery were reacting to the fumes. To ordinary people, it was a deadly presence, but to her, it was simply unpleasant, causing nausea but nothing more.

Cery stepped on the cold ground with her bare feet, wearing only her black stockings. She took a deep breath, her face turning red from the effort. She heaved a sigh and, holding her breath, pushed the washbasin filled with blue venom towards the corridor.

After successfully getting the washbasin into the corridor, Cery quickly scurried back into the detention room. She retrieved an iron cup from the room, returned to the washbasin's location, and scooped up the synthesized Blue Venom toxin, then threw it into the air.

The liquid in the air instantly turned into a blue mist, beginning to spread.

"Lalala, I'm going to kill you all."

Cery burst into laughter, holding the iron cup as she sprinkled the blue toxin around, creating a dense and eerie blue mist.

"I've gone crazy~"

"Hahaha~!"

"Let's all die together!! There's no hope left for the human world!!"

"Everything will be destroyed!!"

"I'm going mad!!"

Cery wailed like a banshee, simultaneously spreading the Blue Venom toxin and switching between laughter and tears. The area around her was shrouded in a thick blue mist, enveloping her vision.

*Splat—clang—*

Cery stepped on the wet ground, slipped accidentally, and fell to the floor. Her head hit the ground hard, knocking over the washbasin.

She suffered a severe blow to her head, causing her to become dazed and disoriented. The blue venom liquid spread around her, soaking her sweat-drenched body. She lacked the strength to get up again.

"Am I going to heaven or hell..."

Cery whimpered and groaned, lying flat on the ground. In a haze, she heard heavy footsteps approaching, like an emissary from heaven or perhaps a guide to hell. In her semi-conscious state, she mustered the last of her strength to lift her head.

Within the dense and eerie blue mist, a figure with a fair and captivating physique, muscular contours, and a handsome face, each feature meticulously sculpted, appeared before her. His radiant body seemed to emit a heavenly glow.

"Is it an angel..." she mumbled before losing consciousness.

H'el entered the swirling blue mist of enchanting poison gas. His densely structured molecular composition and the interaction of his bioelectric aura made him almost impervious to extreme energies. He extended this protection to toxins and diseases.

Hardly any toxin could affect H'el.

H'el's gaze fell upon the disheveled Cery, who lay in a pitiful state on the ground. His pupils continuously dilated and contracted as he activated his microscopic vision.

What he saw was the epidermis of an ordinary human, resembling a surface marked with countless blemishes, even uglier than the actual environment. Grease and peeling skin, mites crawling through the skin's myriad of folds. H'el furrowed his brow.

Humans were truly hideous creatures.

He swiftly traversed the epidermis, delving deeper into the cellular level, directly examining DNA briefly before withdrawing his microscopic vision.

"A human with latent kaiju genes..?"

Meanwhile, in 21 different countries, connections were reestablished on the network.

Together, they witnessed how H'el singlehandedly decimated modern military forces, including M1A2 Abrams tanks, Apache, Cobra, Little Bird helicopters, F-22 Raptor fighter jets, and more, all amidst a hail of bullets and missiles.

The extraterrestrial remained unscathed, truly unscathed.

"What... How can we fight against this?"

The individuals on the screens fell into silence.

"Does anyone have any ideas?"

"Surrender. I choose to surrender."

"Are you joking?"

"Are we just going to hand Earth over to the aliens like this?"

"Please, let's not forget that the aliens won't spare us."

"Now it's not about us protecting Earth; it's about the aliens inevitably killing us out of vengeance."

"..."

"Let's try launching a nuclear bomb."

"Give it a try then."

"According to the data from the reconnaissance satellites, his speed from Anchorage Base to the square outside is approximately 40 Mach."

"Does anyone have a nuclear bomb that can exceed 30 Mach in speed?"

"..."

"He could easily carry the nuclear bomb back to your doorstep..."

"We need an opportunity."

"An opportunity to release a nuclear bomb and detonate it on him."
