149 Chapter 149: Update

The Arctic.

In this vast expanse covered in pristine white snow, amidst the peaks of the mountains, numerous engineering machines emerged from the well-constructed space bridge screens. They carried various sophisticated biological testing instruments and made their way toward the Fortress of Solitude.

Within the Fortress of Solitude, the unnecessary facilities, including the armory, Clark Kent's room, spaceship hangar, entertainment room, and the memorabilia display room, as well as several rooms built by Superman for Batman, Kara, and Lois Lane, were all systematically dismantled by the engineering machines.

The entire Fortress of Solitude, along with its grand hall, suddenly appeared bright and clear. Superman had already been placed within a biological information analyzer that resembled a crystal coffin. From time to time, samples of his blood, marrow, and various cellular materials were extracted for genetic analysis and comparison.

This was destined to be a complex project spanning tens of thousands of years. Without the guidance of Jor-El's backup Life Codex, every piece of genetic information needed to be carefully recorded, tested for accuracy, selectivity, and completeness by the biologists. It was almost as if they were creating an entirely new Life Codex.

H'el stepped out of the space bridge screen. This was his first experience with the teleportation technology of the space bridge from the Transformers universe.

With just a step, crossing the protective screen of folded space, he arrived in the Arctic. The chilling cold wind rustled his jet-black hair, and his black cape billowed behind him.

As the engineering machines saw H'el's arrival, they halted their activities and bowed respectfully, placing their hands over their chests. Once H'el entered the Fortress of Solitude and disappeared from their sight, they resumed their work.

"Your Majesty, greetings," Professor Kendra greeted with a face flushed with excitement. His eyes sparkled with vitality. Ever since he sensed the bright prospects for the future under H'el's leadership, his aging body had experienced a rejuvenation. (A/N: This guy is one of the scientist that chose H'el over Nimda–mother of Jor-el)

"How is he doing? Is everything proceeding smoothly?" H'el nodded and looked toward Superman within the biological information analyzer.

Superman was in much better condition now. Professor Kendra had performed surgery on him to repair and reinforce the ribs that had been previously inserted. Additionally, he had nursed Superman back to health, mending his internal injuries.

Although the biological information analyzer was filled with Kryptonian atmosphere, Kryptonite gas, and red solar radiation to inhibit his abilities, Superman was now only slightly weaker than Earth's humans. He could be safely subjected to blood and genetic research.

"Everything is progressing smoothly, Your Majesty. The genetic material extracted by the biologists is undergoing testing and comparison. In the near future, we will have a new Life Codex," Professor Kendra exclaimed with a hint of awe in his eyes.

"Jor-El was indeed the most brilliant scientist, managing to compile all the genetic information of the Life Codex into a single physical form without deformity. It has overturned my understanding of biological genetic information."

"He certainly was," H'el nodded in agreement, not shying away from acknowledging Jor-El's greatness. However, he shook his head, lamenting the fact that Jor-El's genius was not aimed at benefiting Krypton but solely for the sake of his son.

Professor Kendra also sighed slightly for the brilliant Jor-El. When a genius capable of saving Krypton abandoned the entire planet, even someone as worldly as Professor Kim Dae couldn't help but feel a complex sense of dissatisfaction.

It was a shame that he had taken such an extreme path.

"Your Majesty, Kal-El's body undoubtedly harbors the Life Codex, the entire genetic information repository of Krypton. But at the same time, he possesses unprecedented potential," Professor Kendra spoke cautiously.

"To extract the genetic information from his body, compare, and verify its functionality, we'll need well over ten thousand years to complete this complex undertaking. Meanwhile, his own physical potential is adapting harmoniously to the Kryptonian atmosphere, Kryptonite gas, and red solar radiation. This adaptation will enable him to fully resist radiation within a decade."

"At that time, with Kal-El's potential, it's likely even General Kalu-Zod will find it challenging to compete with him."

Professor Kendra finished speaking, silently marveling at Jor-El's level of genius, which had transcended the inherent genetic potential of Krypton. He even saw glimpses of the extraordinary adaptability found in the Kryptonian myths regarding Doomsday.

Jor-El was indeed a formidable scientist, and Superman's terrifying potential was becoming evident.

Previously, Superman had appeared weak only because he had never encountered a challenge. However, facing the pressure exerted by H'el, which was beyond the ordinary, he was rendered unable to fend for himself.

But now, in the presence of the Kryptonian atmosphere, Kryptonite gas, and red solar radiation - these normal pressures - his cellular potential was officially coming into play: adapting, resisting, absorbing...

It was worth mentioning that, in the end, he might be able to become a Golden Superman through eighty-five thousand years of basking in the sun, breaking through dimensions to become a five-dimensional being.

This potential is beyond description; it's nothing short of terrifying.

The sun has existed for 4.57 billion years, the universe for approximately 13.799 ± 0.21 billion years. In such vast time scales, no one has been able to break through dimensions.

And then there's Superman... Eighty-five thousand years, and he becomes a Golden Superman.

Even H'el, who knew he possessed the ability to traverse the vortex and would surely become a cosmic master in the future, dared not say that he could achieve the kind of super-species status, dimension-breaking existence that Golden Superman represented in fifteen thousand years.

This potential is so outrageous that it defies the universe itself.

If the universe were conscious, it might just curse at Superman in frustration.

"No matter. Continue recording genetic information. Before ten years have passed, Jor-El will undoubtedly deliver the Life Codex back into my hands."

H'el's deep eyes glinted with meaning.

No one understood Jor-El better than he did.

Seeing his son, this most outstanding creation, and knowing his son's potential, although Jor-El didn't know what kind of potential Superman would ultimately possess, based on what he currently knew, Superman had already surpassed all other beings on Krypton.

Jor-El was confident that his son would surpass H'el in the future.

Jor-El had backed up the Life Codex; he would undoubtedly replicate this successful being to oppose himself.

Superman's potential remained untapped, which was why he was easily defeated by H'el.

However, Jor-El would undoubtedly find ways to create beings capable of unlocking their potential to defeat H'el.

He would prove that his creation, his son, was correct and that his son's value exceeded that of the entire planet Krypton.

Jor-El was undoubtedly a scientist unparalleled in the universe, creating a creation that made the universe tremble—Kal-El.

And H'el was undoubtedly the one who understood him the best.

Jor-El's creation was intended to counter H'el.

H'el saw through all his actions from behind.

"So, what kind of energy is there on Earth that can link and activate the potential of the beings he created?"

H'el pondered, leaving the Biological Information Analysis Facility and heading to the laboratory where they were monitoring the Flash.
