27 Lex Luthor

-Narrator pov -

Metropolis, a city known far and wide to be the home of two of the greatest men, Lex Luthor and Superman. One is a rich ass hole and the other is a crime-fighting alien.

The city practically shines with brilliance, the streets were clean, and the parks flourished with greenery.

There were no homeless, almost as if they don't exist.

On the surface at least.

In a building, a certain building with the Lex Corp logo adorning the outside there was a room, a small room, no it was more like a prison cell.

It was dimly lit, a man sat calmly in one pristine chair while another sat across from him bloody and barely conscious.

A woman stood behind the calm man, she had a stoic expression on her face, as if everything happening was of the utmost importance.

"Sir, he won't talk," She said sourly

"He will, isn't that right Dembe?" the man said with a murderous smile

"Fuck you Luthor," Dembe spat

Lex Luthor laughed as if what Dembe said was the funniest thing, "your family means less than a client?" he sneered

Dembe didn't reply, his gaze seemed to stretch a mile long. Mentally he beat himself up, they were careless at the auction, and someone recognized him, he only wore a mask, many could identify him just from his back profile.

Lex figured out who Lucas was.

They were careless.

They messed up.

He messed up.

"What is Lucas Queen!" Lex asked slamming his hand on the table

"A fairy," Dembe replied with a small bloody smile

"Bring in his family," Lex said coldly

Just as the woman was about to leave something happened.

*BOOOM!*

-Lucas pov hours before -

Ivy appeared to have this whole thing planned out, I for one was all for it. Even without the plants, I can have her make this deal would be worth it.

Lex Luthor is a business tycoon and a rival of mine, destroying his buildings and even maybe killing him could lead to some serious business opportunities.

Not to mention, the research I could find.

In the comics, Lex sometimes becomes the president, scary times I say, other times he allows alien invasions to happen, has a part in destroying metropolis, destroys new krypton.

The list goes on and on.

The journey to metropolis was quite uncomfortably so, two people that could kill many were both stuck driving in a car.

How weird is that?

I tried to read her mind but, all I got was an image of a vast forest, she seemed to not even realize it herself.

The green.

Annoying thing that is, it seems to be protecting her.

"Why didn't we just take our own methods?" I asked breaking the delicate silence

"My method of transportation would be too flashy," she grumbled

"I see, so what is the sudden interest in Luthor?" I asked

She narrowed her eyes in visible anger, "he is planning to open up a new branch, destroying much of nature, it infuriates me," she replied through gritted teeth

"I see," I nodded as the car descended into another bout of silence

"How come I never hear about you defending nature outside of Gotham? Surely this isn't the first time," I asked once more breaking the silence

She seemed annoyed at my constant questions, "I have been around the world helping where I could, many cover up the fact it was I. In Gotham, though I can never win Batman always stops me," she grumbled, "but, that is all the more reason to try, I will beat him someday,"

I laughed, "yes Batman is a tough one,"

"You say it as if you fought him before," she replied

"I have," I conceded

"Interesting, you win?" she asked

"Of course," I replied like it was normal to beat the bat

She scoffed, "good for you,"

"I know,"

We finally entered metropolis, "meet me here when night falls," she said pointing at the corner of two streets

I nodded, and she pulled into an empty parking lot next to an ally, I got out of the car and slipped into the alley, my costume still on.

I shifted into a bat deciding to check in on Dembe's family, I approached the house and realized no one was there.

Odd.

They must be out.

I flew away drinking in the bat's eye view of the city, as I flew around I looped around to the building we will be destroying.

The Lex corp logo is imprinted on its side, it was tall and obviously contained many workers.

But it didn't, that was the odd thing I could only spot a few workers even with my echolocation, ivy did mention she learned that this building hosts some of the more pricy research projects but, I would still think there would be many workers.

As I began to fly away I spotted a worker leaving the building, he got into a bulletproof car and drove off.

I flew after him, I followed him all the way to his home, flying into his house I shifted back and approached him.

He couldn't hear me.

I grabbed his shoulder and spun him around, I began to peer into his mind, and flashes of the research he is doing shot through my head.

Kryptonite, weapons.

Then I saw something that made my cold blood boil with rage, men carrying a family into the deepest parts of the facility.

Dembe's family.

I pulled the man closer and tore into his neck, "gahhgggg!" the man tried to scream but his vocal cords failed him

*thud* I dropped his lifeless and bloodless body onto the ground.

How dare Lex Luthor touch my friend's family.

He will die.

I don't even care about the business opportunities anymore.

Ivy stared at me as I appeared in front of her, "ready?" she asks

"Always," my voice sounded colder than normal

She nodded and reached into her pockets, she took out a bunch of seeds, and she nodded to me.

We both walked across the street, as we neared the building some guards tried to stop us, I didn't waste any time with her hormone control I just snapped their necks.

*crack*

*crack*

"Crude," she said

"Their just humans," I replied

She looked at me strangely, once past the gates she threw the seeds in her hands, as they flew through the air I watched mesmerized as they transformed into long thick vines.

*crashhh!* they tore through the windows and the cement building

*rumble* the earth below us began to shake as more vines began to break from the ground and attack the building.

They began to meld together to form one long whip, she gestured her hand as if to show a downward motion.

The beam followed crashing into the building, *BOOOM!* the whole building began to quake

"Why did you need me?" I asked lightly

"Clean up, and a precautionary measure," she replied lightly

And how did she always lose to Batman?

I sped through the building stuffing anything that looked important into my ring, I could hear below me Lex's voice along with Dembe and his families.

I tuned into mist and went through the cracks, I appeared behind mercy his bodyguard, and my right hand shot forward, *shickk* the sound of my hand piercing her heart sounded throughout the room

Luthor wasted no time for words, he pulled out a strange weapon and opened fire, I dodged the beams of energy and dashed toward him.

"GAHH!" he gasped for breath as my hand tightly held his throat

I dug into his mind, I learned what he had Dembe for, he knew who I was. I saw the man telling him about his he recognized Dembe, I saw Lex killing him, I saw him only telling mercy.

"Stop," a strong voice entered my ears

I turned my head slightly to see a floating man, "superman," I bit out

"Unhand him, he is a bad man but does not deserve death," Superman said in a calming tone

"Or what?" I asked coldly

"Or I would have to stop you," Superman replied

"Oh really?"

*crack!*
