Chapter 25: Team Flash

The security inside of S.T.A.R. Labs was obviously a joke to me, as Steel and I walked into it like nothing had happened whatsoever.

We did however just take the elevator down, and surprisingly didn't get stopped by anyone as we were going down it.

As we both explored the lab, we eventually ended up in what seemed like the main room of the entire place.

With monitors everywhere, quite a few familiar people were inside of the room, and I just observed the situation.

Barry was sleeping there on a bed, seemingly unable to move with plenty of tubes coming out of his body.

Cisco was at the computers, analyzing some stuff.

Joe, Iris and Caitlynn were right beside Barry.

"You will recover Bar." Joe said, as he looked at his son with sad eyes.

"I know." Barry replied, as he turned towards Caitlyn.

"It seems like your speed healing has already kicked in. By tomorrow we should be able to transfer you onto a wheelchair so you don't have to just stay on your bed."

Iris wiped some tears from her eyes as she walked to where Cisco was standing.

"So where is this Blue suit guy? Didn't he just fly over here?" Iris asked.

Cisco, who was eating some candy, pointed his candy towards her and explained, "Our defensive system took care of him. Man ran packing."

'We didn't run anywhere!' Steel shouted inside of my head.

"But he did vanish into thin air again." Cisco said with a slight sigh.

"Shouldn't we get this man's help?" Iris asked, which got my attention.

"What do you mean?"

"You guys said this energy can help speedsters speed up right?" Iris said, to which Steel instantly began analyzing and running diagnostics on Barry.

'Lucas I need you to move closer to Barry so I can analyze his energy.' Speed asked to which I compiled.

I didn't really know how to feel, seeing my friend on a bed as he tried to protect the city. Why did he do this? I mean I recently got powers too and I wasn't jumping everywhere to save strangers…

"It is a possibility." Caitlyn said, as she walked right past me, and opened up Barry's diagrams and what seemed like some simulations as well and put them on a board.

"That energy energizes and supercharges all the speedforce inside of a speedsters system. With some tests we might even be able to heal Barry by tomorrow." Caitlyn explained.

"Then I will do just that." A man said as he walked into the room with a massive gun.

Wait a second…HARRISON WELLS? THE MAN WHO KILLED BARRY'S MOTHER?

"Wells put that down." Joe said in a threatening voice as he walked into the room.

"What do you want me to do detective? Look at the condition of your son? You think he can be of any help?" Wells asked as he pointed towards Barry.

"How dare you! You are the reason Barry is in this position?!" 

"Yeah well he will heal." Wells said, uncaring as he charged up his gun.

"I will go and find this man in the blue suit and talk to him."

"And what if he doesn't want to talk to you?" Iris asked, with slight concern inside of her voice.

"I will make him.

'Ha! Please humans like this primitive technology can do anything to harm my advanced Bio-Armor.' Steel laughed inside of my head.

I couldn't help but agree, Steel's armor was basically indestructible and impossible to break through. The most someone could do was damage us slightly.

"Let him leave, not like he is going to be able to find that guy anyway, I have been trying for weeks." Cisco said as they watched Wells leave.

How the hell were they so calm about this?

"Cisco, please let me know if you find something out. I am going to go make Barry some food." Joe said as he left to make him.

"What are we going to do? A city without the Flash is a shit show." Iris said, clearly stressed.

Barry's expression dropped a little, and I could only watch in helplessness.

'Steel, so what does it say?' I asked Steel who was analyzing all their Data about Barry's current condition.

'I don't have any hacking capabilities, since I am formed to be a Bio-weapon with Turbo energy and analyzed Turbo Modes, however from what I can see with these energy readings and Barry their judgment is not wrong. If he has a supply of Turbo Energy, he might be able to heal quickly.' Steel explained.

'We can't just inject a high amount into him at once?' I asked.

'His body isn't in the condition to accept that right now.'

I stared down at Barry who was lying on his bed and then looked around. I mean, what better time to reveal myself to team Flash then when Flash couldn't move…right?

'Lets deactivate Stealth mode.'

'Are you sure?' Steel asked. I didn't really need to ask him to switch between modes, but for some reason I think I just needed someone to ask me that question.

'Yes.'

Right as I deactivated the stealth mode and became visible for everyone in the world to see, alarms began to ring inside of the Lab and red flashed everywhere.

"I got a signal!" Cisco shouted in excitement not realizing I was standing in the Med Bay right beside Barry.

"What the hell…" Barry muttered as he saw me appear right beside me, but he couldn't even move to do anything.

Iris immediately pulled out a normal Pistol, as Cisco and Caitlyn huddled together and moved away from me as far away as possible.

"Step away from him." Iris warned.

I slowly raised my hands and then Steel decided to make his presence known as he popped out of my chest.

'What are you doing Steel?!' I scolded the alien inside of my head.

'Relax I can take care of this.'

BANG!

Iris shot her gun right towards Steel as he emerged from my chest and hit him right in his screen.

"OUCH! WHAT THE HELL HUMAN!" Steel shouted in pain as his screen flashed with an emoji which seemed to represent frustration.

"We mean no harm…" I tried to calmly tell her but Steel, who was pushed back due to the force of the bullet, quickly flew back to me, pointed one of his sticks for a hand towards me and shouted in my head.

'WELL SHE MEANS HARM!'

"Then step away from him." Iris once again repeated, as I held Steel in my hands and ignored his threats to eradicate all humans.

I slowly moved away, as Iris moved in between Barry and I.

"What do you want?" Barry asked, as he tried to sit up a little.

"I am here to help. I couldn't help but overhear your conversation." I said as I waved my hand around a little.

"Isn't this what you want?" I questioned as I manifested my Turbo Energy a little.

The entire room remained silent as they just stared at me.

"And what do you want in return?" Barry asked.

"Everything you have on the speedster from yesterday."

"What do you have against Zoom?" Cisco asked from the corner of the room, before he quickly ducks his head again.

"Zoom…a fitting name. As you can clearly see, I have nothing against him personally." I said, as I pointed towards Barry. 

"But I don't like how he is creating disharmony in the City." I said as I spouted bullshit from my ass.

"Will you help us in taking him down?" Barry asked, with a little hope in his voice.

I could see how he would be hopeful, from Speed's analysis, if Barry can run 10 times faster, he would easily be well beyond the Speed of Zoom.

"I will not speak for my future self. I will see what I can do when the time comes to it." I told him my honest response, I did not want to give him unnecessary hope to take it away for no reason in the future.

At this, Team Flash stayed silent, having a decision to make.
