10 Not so Amazo

Metropolis, August 3, 07:38 EDT

A bridge starts to collapse; watching from his office, Bruce opens a secret drawer to reveal his bat suit. When he hears a sonic boom, he looks over and sees Superman come in and start to repair the bridge. Seconds later, Superboy comes leaping in, rescuing a car, then moving onto a bus that was going off the edge of the bridge, struggling to pull it back up, when Superman flies up, lifting it up with ease and making Superboy upset, saying he had it. Superman tells him that his landing could have unstabilized the bridge. Superboy argues that it didn't, and Superman tells him they don't know the limits of his powers, with Superboy asking him to teach him, only for Superman to tell him Batman does that. That's when a call comes in, and in an emergency, Superman avoids Superboy and flies off. Pissing off Superboy, Batman calls Superman, telling him they need to talk.

Mount Justice August 3, 13:06 EDT

Alex and the rest of the team are in the cave playing a game when Superboy comes in; Miss Martian asks him how Metropolis was with Superboy, ignores her, and walks away. That's when Black Canary and Martian Manhunter walked in, asking if everyone was ready for training. Megan is happy to see her uncle and talks to him, Superboy." Seeing this and thinking of his non-existing relationship with Superman makes him even more upset, and he tries to walk away when Black Canary tells him to stay as class is in session.

"I consider it an honor to be your teacher." Canary tells us as she takes off her jacket, showing her wounded arm and wincing when she moves it. "I'll throw a lot at you—everything I've learned from my own mentors, unh." She moved her arm, causing her more pain. "and my own bruises."

"What happened?" Megan asked

"The job, "Canary tells her.

"Ya, well, the job can be a lot easier with the right person," Alex tells her, walking up to her and putting his hand on her wound and healing it.

"Thank you, Alex, "Canary tells him.

While the others were surprised to see what Alex did.

"How did you do that?" Wally asked

"One of the powers I was hiding was instantaneous healing." Alex tells the team, "So from now on, I'll take care of your serious wounds, but for the minor things, I'll let your body do that."

"How much else are you hiding?" Aqualad asked

"Plenty." Alex says, summoning a few shadowkhans and surprising the team that got ready for a fight. "Don't worry, these are my tools, called Shadow Khan, a race of demons under my control."

"Dude! "You can summon demons!" Wally yells, shocked, as everyone but the adults and Robin have seen them before.

"What can they do?" Asked Megan

"Well, they're ninjas, so they're very good at stealth attacks and are skilled in hand-to-hand combat and weapons; those are their two flaws." Alex tells them as he goes over to one and punches it, causing it to break apart and dissipate. "If one of them is hit hard enough, they get destroyed, and two, they don't have their own minds, so I need to order them every time, causing them to be easy to get away from and trick them when not near me."

"Wow, there's really nothing in their heads; they're like drones waiting for orders," Megan says.

"Cool," Wally says.

"Don't let the league of shadows know they'll think you're taking over their territory," Robin tells Alex.

"That's why I'm so hesitant to use all my powers; people get jealous and envious, and seeing the villains in the world, I don't want them to do something so extreme just to take me out, even though I'm immortal," Alex tells the team.

"Ok, ok, now you're immortal!" Wally yells in disbelief, "Ok, let's recap: you can fly, have super strength, turn invisible, turn people into animals, shoot heat beams out of your eyes, and push people's souls out of their bodies, and now you heal and summon a demon with the biggest thing yet: you're immortal!" Wally yells, making everyone realize that Alex is a lot stronger than they realize.

"Yep, and more than that, I can also do this." Alex says, walking to Superboy and putting two kanji marks on him, giving him levitation and heat beams. "Ok, Superboy, thick of going up in the air." Alex tells him.

"What are you trying to do? Make fun of me because I can't fly like Superman." When Superboy gets angry, he starts shooting out heat beams from his eyes, panicking and trying to stop it only to start floating as well.

Snapping his fingers, Alex makes the kanji marks disappear, also making Superboy unable to float anymore and causing him to fall.

"Superboy, are you okay?" Megan goes over to him to make sure he's okay.

"Dude, did you just give him powers?" Wally asked excitedly, wanting to get some too.

Calming everyone down and getting Superboy to stare at Alex when he walks up to him. "What did you do to me?"

"What I did is use another one of my powers, which is projection, which allows me to put a kanji mark on you that lasts two hours right now, and when I want, I can give you the ability to use my powers as your own."

"So it's not permanent." Asked Superboy, disappointed. If it were permanent, Superman would see him more as an equal.

"No, and with me right now, I can only let you have them for two hours, at most three if I can concentrate, "Alex tells him.

"But it's still cool that you can do that," Wally says excitedly, wanting to try it.

"Ok, kids, it seems you all got distracted, but it's time to move on to my lesson for the day." Black Canary tells the team

"Yes, we'll talk about Alex's powers more later." Aqualad says. "But Alex, I would like to know everything you can do, so I can be prepared to know what you can do in case of an emergency."

"Ok," Alex tells him.

Getting back to training, Black Canary talks to them, and when she decides to teach combat, Wally volunteers only to flirt with her and then get knocked to the ground, embarrassing him, especially when Robin answers Canary's question on what Wally did wrong. "Oh, oh, I know he hit on the teacher and got served," causing Wally to yell. "Dude!" that when Superboy gets out of his head to tell Canary that training was a waste of time for him as he was made to be a living weapon, when Canary tells him to prove it only for Superboy to get taken down twice in a row, making him lash out and about to storm off when a call comes in, and it's Batman.

He proceeds to give the team a mission after showing the emergency Superman was called to and where Black Canary was hurt. They were fighting an android that could copy and use the powers of the heroes that came to stop it. Only after eight Leaguers came and four hours were the Justice League able to take it down and dismantle the android.

"Is it Professor T.O. tomorrow?" Asked Robin. After the attack by Mr. Twister, he's been worried another one would show up.

"No, but good guess, Robin, but Red Tornado doesn't think so, "Batman tells him.

"The technology bears the signature of Professor Ivo." The Martian Manhunter tells them

"But Ivo's dead, right?" Asked Aqualad

"That's what we thought, or at least hoped." Black Canary says

"Your mission is to take the two pieces to separate Starlabs in Baston and Manhattan to fully neutralize the android. You will be split into two teams and follow the trucks, protecting them from Ivo or anyone else wanting the technology. "There will be an additional four trucks used as decoys."

"So now we're taking out your trash, "Superboy says, pissed off with everything.

"You had something better to do?"Batman asked him, causing Superboy to huff and turn away, only for Black Cannary to tell him that when he's ready, she'll be there to talk to him.

"Coordinates received; on our way." "Aqualad," says Aqualad as the team gets ready to go.

Litchfield County August 3, 20:08 EDT

The team is on motorcycles in the forest, watching as six trucks are loaded up with the parts of the android. As a few leaguers stand guard. After receiving the go signal, the trucks move out, going two ways. With this, the team splits up, with Alex, Superboy, and Robin on one team and Miss Martian, Aqualad, and Kid Flash on the other.

Still, on the battlefield, Batman grabs Superman's shoulder and tells him they need to talk.

On the road, the two teams talk about different things, with Robin talking about words that can mean different things, like the opposite of disaster would be aster. When Superboy complained about Black Canary, saying what right does she have to teach someone with super strength how to fight, with both Robin and Alex pointing out that it comes with the job to figure out how to take on stronger enemies, Alex also told him that Black Canary has helped him in their therapy sessions and how he has survivors guilt after being the only one to escape. In the nether realm, none of the talking makes Superboy sound right, so he picks up speed to get away from them.

The other team they're talking about is Superboy, and Miss Martian says she can feel the anger radiating off of him even without reading his mind, something she'll never do. Kid Flash and Aqualad tell her he needs space and a calm mission to calm him down. As they continue riding to Star Labs.

That's when the green metal monkey robots came flying in, attacking the two trucks the teams were guarding. After communicating with each other, the two teams spring into action to defend the trucks. Robin turns on the battle mode of his bike, switching it to one wheel with the other one turning into a drone. He tells the other two to do the same when Superboy ignores him, shooting it and then hopping on top of the truck, leaving his bike to crash into Robin. Superboy is destroying the monkeys when one of them in his hand turns its head and shoots energy beams into Superboy's eyes, temporarily blinding him. Four robot monkeys trap him and take off with him. Alex also jumps on the truck with Robin when Superboy's bike crashes into his; with both of them on the truck, they protect the cargo as best as they can when Superboy returns, leaping onto the truck and causing it to swerve when the monkeys breach the truck, attacking the guards and throwing them out, and Alex went after them, leaving the truck to Robin and Superboy. When the monkeys destroy the tires, Robin goes to save the driver, diving to the side of the road when the truck starts to flip when the monkeys have gotten the box with the android parts and popped the tires. With Superboy holding onto the truck as it flips and explodes.

With the other team, it's much the same: the monkey escaped with the box and then had to save the people on the truck before it crashed.

With the monkeys getting away with the android parts and Superboy being angry, he goes after them after refusing help from the team and ditching his coms. After that, Robin hacks one of the broken monkeys to find out there's a GPS tracker on the Android parts and tells the team they're converging in Gotham City. With Miss Martian and Aqualad not being close, it'll take them some time to get there, so they send Kid Flash ahead as Robin, and Alex gets going as well.

Metropolis, August 3, 21:18

Bruce and Clark are having a meeting in a cafe, where Bruce tells Clark Superboy needs him, with Clark saying no; when Clark says Superboy needs Bruce and Red Tornado, he's a reminder of what Superboy is not. Bruce tells him he is wrong, knowing that Clark has been violated by having a clone made from his cells, and tells Clark that the boy needs his father, making Clark upset, and he leaves.

Gotham City, August 3, 21:21 EDT

After following the monkey, they reach a train with the monkey going in, and Superboy lands on top of the train, braking in, and sees a short man with the monkeys surrounding him.

"When did the big blue boy scout have a kid?" Ivo asked

"He doesn't, "replies Superboy, getting angrier.

After Ivo states his curiosity, he has his monkeys attack, with Superboy taking them out, leaving him out of breath. When a robotic voice calls out 'captain atom,' a beam of energy comes out of Superboy's vision, knocking him back onto the floor.

"So you didn't like my monkey, then how about my amazing Amazo?" "Ivo asked Superboy as the fully repaired Amazo android walked into the light.

When Superboy gets up, Ivo makes a comment about how Superman must have hidden him away, and Amazo goes on the attack after Superboy gets a few hits on him. With Amazo switching between the powers of the Justice League members, he goes after Superboy until he knocks him out of the railcar and onto a flat railcar, then goes up to him and, with Superman powers, picks him up and punches him flying. With Superboy landing in a classroom of Gotham Academy, back on the train, Ivo gives Amazo a priority alpha command to go after Superboy and finish him.

On a road into Gotham, Alex Robin and Kid Flash are on their way to the location of the Android parts when Robing tells them that the parts are now moving to Gotham Academy. Speeding up to get there.

While in Gotham Academy, Superboy is getting beaten throughout the academy. Finally, Amazo uses Captain Adams's power to shoot Superboy into the school's gym. Already, Ivo claps in mockery at Superboy's performance. When Amazo was going to hit Superboy into the ground, Kid Flash came in to rescue him with Robin throwing exploding Bridarangs. Going back and forth between them, Amazo caught Kid Flash, and before Amazo could crush Kid Flash, an arrow came out of nowhere, making Amazo use Martian manhunters power to phase through it. All the while, Alex is outside fighting monkeys that are swarming the school. When he notices someone in a tree fighting them as well. Going to them, Alex sees a girl in a green costume with a bow and arrow and goes to help her, but looking into the school's gym, Superboy, Kid Flash, and Robin have taken down Amazo by destroying its head. Turning back to the girl, she's gone.

Going into the gym, Robin yells to take apart the android, with Miss Marian and Aqualad showing up and agreeing with him. When Alex goes in, he tells them to stand back and puts a kanji on the android, causing it to split into pieces.

"Superboy, are you okay?" Miss Martian asked. Superboy told her he was fine with a smile.

"Hey, where's Ivo?" Kid Flash asked.

"He must have escaped," Alex says.

Mount Justice August 4, 01:06 EDT

Reporting to Batman and other Justice League members at the cave about the mission. and reporting Ivo's escape.

"Capturing the professor will be a League priority." Black Canary tells the team

"But we understand your mission encountered other complications." Martian Manhunter asks Everyone looks at Superboy, but then Batman steps up.

"Complications come with the job. Your ability to handle them has impressed the league." Batman tells the team

"The whole league?" Superboy asks, wondering if Superman will recognize him.

"Given time, yes. Kryptonians, as you know, have very hard heads, "Batman says, causing Superboy to smile a bit. "Of course, there's no shame in asking for help. That's why the league exists. Because there are some problems even we can't handle individually."

"Please," Robin says, "if we needed help, we'd never get the chance to ask." pulling out the arrow the girl used to save Kid Flash. Alex, not having told them yet.

Robin complains that they're babysitting the team when Green Arrow pulls out one of his own, showing the team it's not his and making the team think it was Speedy Green Arrow's ex-side kick. Wally takes the arrow as a souvenir. the team not seeing Batman and Green Arrow sharing a look. Superboy then goes to Black Canary and says he's ready, and Black Canary says good, because she's here for him.

After the rest of the team leaves, Alex goes to Batman and Green Arrow and tells them he saw the girl who shot the arrow. He tells them she's good and they should make plans to recruit her to the team.
