Prologue

….

Death is a very interesting but dumb topic. People spend their every day lives wondering, craving, and thinking what is death and what is the concept that follows. Never to truly realize that even if they knew, even if they were right, they would only be helpless to stop it or even think of resisting it. However what if there was someone different, someone who got the opportunity to resist death.

Not because they were stronger, not because they were better, and definitely not because they were smarter but simply because they were just a whole lot luckier than the rest.

Yeah and person who got this unlucky(lucky?) opportunity is me. Now listen closely everybody because this how I made death my bitch.

It was a scorching hot desert with sand as far as the eye could see and even further. There in the middle, laid a young man who looked no older than nineteen but no younger than fifteen. There he laid on top of the sand with only a small t-shirt on and cargo shorts on.

With sweaty tanned skin, mumbling of incoherent noises and loud heartbeats, we could deduce that although the young man wasn't in threatening situation. His predicament wasn't the best either.

"Ah!!"

Suddenly the young man woke up in a horrified shout, however before he could get a close look at his surroundings. He experienced mind boggling pain from his brain. He clutched his Afro like hair and began screaming in more pain.

Suddenly after what felt like an eternity to the boy. He said one question that he even thought he ever say out loud even in a million years.

" I got reincarnated?!"

The young man, also known as Daniel Chester, voice was half scared, half unbelieving, and a hundred percent confused.

"So I've been reincarnated and only awakened my memories when I was 16?!" Said Daniel in an unnerved and confused voice. Looking through his memories of his current life, Daniel knows that he is in this situation because of an intense sand storm that happened when he and his "family" were on a trip. How he survived the storm however, is something he has absolutely no clue about.

Before Daniel could think any further, he heard a strange and scratchy voice in his head.

[Welcome host]

If Daniel said he didn't panic when he heard that voice, he would be lying, however panicking wouldn't get him anywhere. So using the willpower he didn't know he had to forcibly calmed his beating heart. Before trying to talk to this "system" in the most neutral voice he could muster and said.

"If my guess or delusions at this point is right, you're a system correct?"

[Yes host, I am.]

"Sigh..Can you tell me your functions, who gave you to me and how you were made?"

Daniel asked in the most neutral voice he could muster, in order not give away his currently chaotic emotional state.

Daniel knew that if this "thing" could somehow read his mind, then what he is doing is simply useless, however as a person who currently has the memories of near death experiences still fresh in his mind, playing on repeat. Already being this calm is an accomplishment to be proud of.

[Yes, host. My capabilities include:

Status,

Inventory, and

Quest.

As for who made me. It would be a really strong being whose name I can't currently say because just like elderich monsters, his name alone would make host brain explode. And for the last question I came to being by the excess energy of several thousand complex universes combined into one singular thing, me]
