5 Chapter 2 Everyone’s got to start somewhere

"FUCK…"

After realizing where he is and what crazy shit, it would entail. Daniel felt like punching the asshole ???? right where it hurts( where ever that was).

In Daniel's book even if the being had wanted to train him in an pressured environment,DC was definitely not the place to go. Daniel can think of at least ten safer but still relatively strong universes right the top of his head, instead of this freak show, where alien invasion is basically an average Tuesday for the people of this world.

"Sigh…Even if that god(?) wanted to send me some where, why did it have to be a place where any random person can literally just think me out of existence or actually just throw me into the sun as well."

Daniel asked a rhetorical question in an exasperated tone to no one in particular. The system sensing that it's host didn't truly ask the remained silent. Not that it would have mattered much anyway since even the system didn't know what ???? was thinking when it came to this decision.

After lamenting his situation for a good 15 minutes, Daniel's { Gamer's mind} and rationality kicked and decided to continue asking his system to get a clear understanding of its capabilities.

"How does the quest system work and how big is the inventory space?"

[Quests work by deep desire, the deeper the desire from the host to do something and the harder the thing is to do, the more rewards the host gets. Host can not get a quest if he has no conscious or subconscious desire to do that thing. Inventory has an infinite space and all host has to do is think of using, it'll be done. The host can't have living things in there but can preserve food and water however. The host has a distance of which host can put things from outside into the inventory. This depends on host mental capabilities. Right now host can only do put things from a 0.5 meter radius but can eventually increase to infinity and beyond.]

Again reading everything carefully and making sure that he doesn't misread anything. Daniel asks another question on his mind.

"I'm guessing that the numbers behind my brackets are the amount of exp I need to go to the next level right?"

[Yes host.]

"How do I get exp?"

[ By defeating opponents or by doing stuff related to host's class.]

Daniel looked at the message and noticed something.

"Just that? No killing?"

Daniel said sort of bewildered since killing was a primary and direct way of getting exp.

[No, although the system doesn't interfere with the host moral compass whatsoever, it doesn't mean the system encourages mass murder, because with the class, skills and materials host currently has, what will genuinely stop host from developing universe level nuke and sending it to some nearby parallel reality and reaping in the benefits.]

"…."

Daniel was silent, trying to picture the possibility that the system said and couldn't think of a reason why he wouldn't do that.

Morality. Please, with the traumatic mind and semi-madness that Daniel can feel himself developing every second. In fact being told that he could reach his goals faster and easier by doing that may very well be the last straw to his sanity that he feels is slipping every moment that he breaths.

Taking in a deep breath, Daniel asked the system a question in a semi worried tone.

"So I'm not allowed to kill?"

[No host is, it's just that killing will give host no extra benefits whatsoever.]

Daniel read the short text out loud this time, considering that he is still in the middle of a desert with no one around for miles.

"Ok. I'll keep that in mind."

Daniel sits in the sand and contemplates a very important question for his future in this chaotic universe.

'Will I be able to kill when the time comes?'

Although Daniel says in that possibility before that there would be nothing stopping him from destroying a whole universe for benefit, that only considering if he was truly broken inside. Which right now he currently isn't. He can feel himself breaking but considering there in no true benefit of him breaking, Daniel plans on solving this or at least suppressing till his goals are complete. However without that brokenness and madness Daniel isn't fully confident he can make the tough decisions when it counts, so that leads to the doubts flying about in his mind right now.

'I don't know…'

Despite contemplating it for what seemed like forever, Daniel couldn't come up with a hundred percent guarantee answer, no matter how hard he tried.

"Sigh.. Although this is irresponsible, I'll make a decision when I get there. Anyway let's move on. System show me the other stuff in the gift pack."

[Affirmative.

Dc materials x60

Disruption mask x1:

A mask to hide from all means mortal in nature( including but not excluding normal magic, cameras, people's eyes and etc)

Metallurgy making (universe rank):

As long as host fully understands a materials full properties and functions, host can make an almost infinite amount if he has enough mental capabilities

Personal super computer( growth type) :

A specialized A.I chip the size an an atom connected to the host brain waves and nerves ( able to grow with the host to never be obsolete)]

After taking a deep look at the text Daniel almost couldn't stop himself screaming at the top of his voice with ecstasy.

"Ok so maybe I won't be so helpless in this universe after all." Said Daniel grinning almost maniacally.

Standing up and stretching a little bit. Daniel decided it was time to put his system and gaming system to use, however before that.

"How exactly do I out of the middle of nowhere again..?"
