...

[3rd POV]

"A-ahhhhhh!"

The whole area was filled with a terrible scream. All the vampires in the city would have heard it if not for the strange magic.

"How does that even work?"

Yoichi exclaimed in surprise while taking a step forward.

The scream stopped and became quiet. After taking another step back, the vampire's screams could be heard again.

"I don't know."

Shiho said with a furrowed brow while clearly pondering the situation.

Yoichi and Mitsuba were standing next to him on the side where the cries couldn't be heard.

Mitsuba put her hand on the little girl's shoulder to comfort her.

"Where could Shinoa have met this... freelance vampire hunter?"

Shiho wondered.

"He suddenly appeared and quickly dealt with two vampires... I think even our entire squad would have needed more time to defeat them in a direct fight, and they had second-class equipment."

Shiho continued to speculate.

"I don't care where he's from or who he is. He's not a vampire, and he kills them; that's all that matters to me."

Yuichiro responded while stepping out of the area of the strange magic once again.

"Shinoa must have a lot to tell us..."

Mitsuba whispered while glancing towards where this... Anthony was now.

...

[Anthony POV]

"They will burn without that ring that shields them from direct exposure to sunlight."

I said as I watched the vampire screaming in agony.

I created a small stone canopy and shielded the vampire from the sunlight abruptly stopped burning.

"Administrator-kun, you've become more ruthless."

Shinoa remarked.

"No, I've just accepted myself and the path I've chosen."

I said. I didn't like what I was doing but needed to ensure their weakness.

Tony Stark's experience showed that it was the right thing to do, and so did Albedo's.

Perhaps because of this, I didn't feel disgusted by the situation. I didn't feel sick when I saw burned skin and the unpleasant smell of flesh.

"Alright, I'm done. I do remember that if you take out his heart, he will turn into a demon."

I mumbled thoughtfully but dismissed the idea for the time being.

"Do you want to finish him off?"

I looked at Shinoa.

"With pleasure."

Shinoa nodded and activated her scythe to thrust the blade directly into its head causing it to immediately crumble to dust.

This time, I could see how the soul was absorbed into my medallion, and these souls emitted a strange dark veil.

"So, what are we going to do next?"

Shionoa asked while putting her scythe on the ground and leaning on it.

"Well, honestly, I just need to kill vampires, and this artifact will absorb their souls. I sense three souls there at the moment so everything is working."

I said this while touching the medallion around my neck.

"I got it. Are you going to help us with the mission, then?"

Shinoa tilted her head to the side.

"Of course, let's go to your squad."

I smiled in response to the fact that her squad was not far away, and everyone except Yoichi was standing outside the soundproof barrier.

"And here we are again!"

Shinoa exclaimed.

"Tony-kun has already discovered the vampires, but..."

Shinoa's gaze fell on the little girl who gripped Saotome's hand a little tighter.

"Don't be afraid. We won't leave you. We need to take her back to the headquarters, and they'll take care of her there."

"Won't the vampires spread during that time?"

Yoicihi expressed a slight doubt.

"No, idiot, they won't spread... probably."

Shinoa added a bit quieter, then looked at me with some amusement.

"Or will Admin... Tony-kun help?"

"Can you show me where your headquarters are from above?"

I asked while receiving a nod. Then Shinoa cheerfully circled around me and pressed against my back.

"Kid, don't worry, I'll quickly take you to a place with a lot of people."

I tried to reassure the child as gently as possible, but she was still clearly anxious.

"Okay, we'll be back soon."

I teleported us with Shinoa into the sky for a moment using a quickly drawn magic seal.

"Wow, Administrator-kun, the view from above is even more terrible."

Shinoa commented, then pointed in the right direction.

"See that building next to the huge iron fence?"

After those words, I teleported us back to where the squad shook their heads in shock.

"What was that? How did you disappear?"

Yoichi asked.

"Magic."

I gave a short answer and created a magic seal beneath our group's feet, teleporting us all to the designated location.

"Take the girl where she needs to go, I'll join you later. Shinoa, you can get off me now."

"Well, well, you took advantage of my body, and now you're driving me away..."

Shinoa "pouted" and jumped off my back.

"Hey, where... I need explanations... He's gone? Shinoa!"

Mitsuba shouted after Shinoa, but the rest of the squad didn't even know what to think.

...

Rias Gremory: It all looks like a light novel about the apocalypse.

Hermione Granger: It looks very lonely... a dead city, but at least people are still fighting! But Tony's actions...

Winter Schnee: They're logical. It is critical to identify the enemy's weaknesses by any means necessary.

Rias Gremory: I felt sorry for that vampire... even though he referred to humans as livestock so maybe it's my kindness.

Hermione Granger: You're very human for a devil, Rias. I couldn't even watch as he...

Hermione Granger: Tony learned the vampire's weakness... it was more like torture.

Winter Schnee: If everything I've learned about Shinoa's world is true, then they deserve it. They view humanity as food and livestock that need minimal care, so they don't all die just to drink their blood. At least Grimm kills without hesitation, but these... they torture their victims and keep them in chains.

"The magical background here is strange."

I spoke aloud.

The information obtained from the "analysis" spell showed that the vampires are... an experiment in preparation for something bigger.

It's as if someone created them for a specific purpose to test whether they would function, and then it all went downhill from there.

Their number grew, creating more vampires.

Their body structure is the same as that of a normal human except there's no pulse, and the heart doesn't beat, but there is a soul inside a body.

They sustain themselves with human blood to avoid aging and remain as strong as they are, but they can also become demons.

However, it's too early to draw conclusions.

I need the body of the progenitor, one of the strongest vampires who descended from the very first turn.

I know they are many times stronger than ordinary vampires.

As for the First Vampire, who is now a sealed demon in Shinoa's scythe... it's not as simple as it seems.

I don't know what to expect from him.

Until I figure out other questions about him, it's better not to meddle, but if needed, a sword with Eight Metal will help me deal with him as well as with other resilient vampires.

It's best not to get involved with him until I can answer some other questions, and my Cinnabar Spindle will help me deal with him and other strong vampires if I have to.

As I jumped from building to building and pondered the information about vampires and their souls, I noticed a message from Shinoa in the chat.

She noted that they had already questioned the kid and confirmed that the vampires were indeed where I had indicated under the Omotesandō station.

I don't really need help in exterminating vampires, but I do need to keep an eye on Shinoa's scythe as well as on Yoichi.

"Look, Hiragi Shinoa, these "hunters" could strike from behind! How well do you even know him?"

Mitsuba couldn't calm down as their squad headed towards the station.

They didn't fight much and chose to return to their mission immediately.

"He is better than all of you."

Shinoa simply said.

"We've known each other for barely more than a month. Mi-chan, are you afraid to admit it?"

"Me? Oh, I'm not afraid of anything, hm."

Mitsuba turned away while crossing her arms over her chest.

"I don't know, but I like your acquaintance."

Yūichirō gave a brief opinion.

"Besides, he knows some magic... That's how they create cursed weapons, right?"

"Yes, but I haven't heard of magic being used like that."

Shiho replied.

"You don't know a lot of things."

Shinoa answered meaningfully, with a slight smile on her face.

"And here's Omotesandō station. The kid mentioned seven vampires, and we all have cursed weapons, so we should be able to fight them. As Tony-kun said, there are nine."

Shinoa paused for a moment, then turned around sharply with a smile on her face.

"Arrived?"

"Mhm."

I nodded.

"Motherf..."

Yuichiro jumped back quickly, turning his gaze back. I was standing just two meters away from them.

"How do you do that?"

"Hmm, I just move quietly and can also use magic to conceal any noise."

I shrugged.

"And yes, there are nine vampires there, so be prepared."

"Are you not gonna help?"

Shinoa caught something in my tone.

"No, I need the progenitor now, and these ordinary vampires aren't as interesting. Besides, I want to see what you can do when you're not fooling around."

I returned a smirk to Shinoa.

"P-Progenitor? You're insane!"

Mitsuba said while pointing at me.

"No, I don't think so."

Yuichiro came to some conclusions.

It's time to kill the vampires already."

I said it with impatience.

"Ugh."

Shinoa sighed disappointedly and activated her cursed weapon.

"Tony-kun, can you cover my squad if needed?"

"If you ask, then of course."

I nodded...at this time, I'll be studying Saotome's body as strange as it sounds.

After all, he's still a Seraph of the End but has not awakened yet. I sense something strange in him most likely the curse.

The station looked like a regular entrance to the subway... where people in white uniforms immediately caught the eye...

They were the livestock walking blood barrels for vampires.

They were not being held here, and they could quickly reach the station's exit.

The only thing is that they might encounter Horsemen there, so they resigned themselves to their fate.

"A terrible sight, but these are the realities of this world, right, Tony-kun?"

Shinoa glared at me.

"Better keep an eye on the situation."

I smirked, and Shinoa pouted.

"For once, I agree with this freelancer."

Mitsuba sounded, and soon the first vampire appeared.

The squad immediately tensed, and Hyakuya rushed into the attack.

He quickly closed the distance and pierced the enemy through, but he immediately crumbled into a pile of dust.

"This one's mine."

Shinoa spoke up, and much faster than Yuichiro had been able to do before, she closed in on another vampire and cut off his head with her scythe.

She didn't stop there. She turned around, and the blade of the scythe went through the glass where the vampires were waiting to attack.

"A trap?"

Mitsuba exclaimed realizing that the vampires seemed to be waiting for them to attack from behind.

"Less talking and more killing bloodsuckers!"

Hyakuya exclaimed while attacking another vampire that jumped out.

A different vampire jumped at Mitsuba to take her hostage because he knew he would miss the taste of life-giving blood if he didn't do something.

"What the..."

Mitsuba noticed the vampire too late, and his hand was already at her throat.

"Are you afraid, you pathetic human?"

Mitsuba screamed as I smiled and stomped my foot, and next to her, a stone spike grew and pierced the vampire through the eye.

The vampire's head turned into a uniform mass of horror as dozens of smaller spikes grew directly into it.

"..."

Mitsuba still stared wide-eyed at this, especially at my hand which had pulled her back slightly.

"Administrator-kun, are you already seducing a new girl?"

Shinoa noticed how I had helped Mitsuba.

"Oh, maybe I should play the damsel in distress too?"

Shinoa suggested.

"That was the last one."

Shiho said it slightly tensely after killing the last vampire.

"Shall we contact the headquarters?"

"There's no place in the city for all these people."

Mitsuba said.

"We'll find a place."

Shinoa waved it off and turned out to be right.

The army quickly arrived at the scene, and after making sure everyone was okay, the squad quickly left for Shinjuku.

They found a small car there, and Shiho tried to start it, but surprisingly, he did everything right.

"Not bad."

I remarked, causing him to stare at me and startle.

Stark's knowledge clearly showed that he was doing everything right... not perfectly, but still.

"Uh, a friend taught me this, and they taught us how to survive in school."

Shiho looked away from me and continued his work.

"Tony-kun, there you are!"

Shinoa's body crashed into me.

"I'm free and ready for grown-up stuff."

Shinoa winked at me.

"Shinoa... your perversion knows no bounds.

Hermione Granger: Indeed.

Rias Gremory: That's true.

Winter Schnee: I couldn't agree more.

"Tsk, you wouldn't understand me... poor, poor virgins. Heh-heh, but I'll soon become an adult, right, To-o-ny?"

Shinoa pressed herself close to me.

"What are you thinking about?"

"About progenitors, the noble among vampires."

I admitted, noticing a flicker of fear in her eyes for a split second. She lives in this world and cannot be clueless about them and their power.

"Progenitors" are indeed the strongest among vampires and can easily deal even with the elite forces of the Imperial Army.

"Well, you've ruined my mood."

Shinoa exhaled.

"Are we... going to meet them?"

Shinoa asked softly clearly hinting at my knowledge of the "plot" of her world.

My silence was understood correctly, and she squeezed my hand slightly tighter.

Vampires are supposed to attack Shinjuku, and there won't be any weaklings there.

From this moment on, I will start what I had planned.

The twelve vampire souls in my medallion are not enough... however, I can't just kill absolutely everyone.

I might try to "fix" some of them or change them with magic and restore their senses.

Vampires lose emotions and become sad, empty shells.

Still, it's very useful for strong and tough creatures like these, which will be very helpful in rebuilding society.
