21 Chapter 21: Battle (2)

[3rd POV]

A few of Beacon Academy's students were fighting Grimm.

Those who had been at the Coliseum before had flown down and decided to fight for the kingdom and their academy.

Then, the Atlas military androids unexpectedly switched sides and launched an attack, and things became even more complicated.

"These metal buckets are quite a nuisance!"

Sun Wukong said this while wielding a staff with which he defended himself from Beowolves.

"My weapon isn't very effective."

Coco said somewhat disappointedly continuing to bombard the large metallic Atlesian Paladin-290.

"No worries, my hammer will take care of them!"

Nora exclaimed while deftly leaping onto a Paladin that was shooting at other hunters.

She delivered a powerful blow to its facial chassis and then jumped off but received a blow from the metallic hand to her side.

"Nora!"

Lie Ren yelled when she saw Nora getting hit by the big metal thing throwing her backwards across the ground several meters.

Fortunately, Nora's aura protected her.

"These metal things are amusing."

Shinoa said with the large scythe.

She turned around and quickly cut off the head of a Grimm jumping at her. She then cut a robot in half with one swift move of her long scythe.

"Semblance?"

Pyrrha said this as she threw her spear at a Grimm. Then, she used her semblance to tear pieces off the androids and throw them at the Ursa until it died.

"Wow! Listen, where have you been all this time?"

Neptune asked who was fighting using a long-range rifle that fired electric bolts.

However, he could switch modes and turn it into a melee weapon.

"I was helping people."

Shinoa said briefly and scanning the academy grounds.

"Well, it's not so bad..."

"It's much worse!"

Weiss exclaimed with a sword.

She moved very agilely from one glyph to another which increased her speed.

"Something terrible is happening!"

Weiss exclaimed when she noticed two more Paladins running towards them.

"What?! Do you see that?!"

Neptune exclaimed while pointing towards an Atlesian Airships and the huge earth pillars supporting it.

One of these ships was still in the sky, but two others could be seen clearly from their position.

"This happened several minutes ago; as I see it you all are not very observant."

Shinoa said while spinning her scythe in one hand and deflecting all the bullets fired at her by the Paladins.

"I didn't have time to look around."

Neptune tried to explain.

"Nevermores!"

Weiss shouted and noticed several Grimms flying towards them.

She took a deep breath and raised her sword to her face to cover her eyes as she expected a powerful Grimm attack.

A snowy white sword appeared behind her, and she blocked Grimm's attack.

She managed to summon her armor's hand and sword!

"There are so many of them! "

The voice of another student hunter said.

In the sky, besides the flying Nevermores, they noticed two humanoid robots starting to shoot at them with something.

They shot Grimm flying everywhere. The Grimms shrieked as they fell to the ground, and other students finished them.

These two figures were in iron armor.

"Is this a new development from Atlas?"

Sun Wukong asked.

"I hope not..."

Jaune Arc replied with obvious panic while holding a shield in one hand and a sword in the other.

"I've never seen anything like this."

Weiss said this while stepping back from excessive use of glyphs.

"Girls, slow down."

Shinoa said this and jumped onto a defeated Paladin.

"... not funny."

A girlish voice was heard, and the helmets on both girls in armor opened, revealing their faces that looked pale enough.

"This is awful!"

Hermione exclaimed.

"I... I didn't know..."

"That it is so bad?"

Shinoa nodded in understanding and glared at another approaching Paladin.

"That's life girls especially here."

Shinoa emphasized the word "here."

"Who are these two beauties?"

Neptune asked, and Weiss shot him an annoyed look.

"What? Just... sorry-sorry."

"Get lost."

Weiss waved him off.

"Are they with you?"

Weiss asked Shinoa with the scythe.

"Yeah, with the Administrator-kun."

Shinoa nodded.

"And there's Rias too."

"Who's that?"

Weiss asked with a puzzled expression.

It looked like the Paladin had lost all of its strength when it stopped about ten meters from the students and fell down.

"Well, the red-headed beauty with huge..."

Shinoa gestured to her "imaginary" large breasts.

"Shinoa."

A voice came from above, and...

"Oh, goddess."

Neptune exclaimed.

"Hm, no, more like a demon."

Rias smiled while hovering nearby.

"Succubus."

Shinoa added.

"Is this your Semblance?"

Nora asked while looking at the black wings behind Rias.

"How do you fly with those? They're tiny!"

"We'll have questions later..."

Weiss wanted to stop Nora, but...

"Weiss!"

A cry was heard, and Yang Xiao Long ran up to Weiss.

"Are you okay? Any news from Ruby?"

"No."

Weiss elegantly shook her head while looking again at the approaching girl.

"And Blake?"

"She went after White Fang."

Nora replied.

"Are those the terrorists?"

Rias clarified that she had already landed on the ground and folded her wings.

"Yeah."

Weiss nodded.

"All these robots stopped attacking us."

Shinoa noticed.

"Master Tony has dealt with it, and air support will be here soon."

A female voice came from Hermione's suit.

After these words, the ground began to tremble from the bombing of massive groups of Grimm that hadn't yet reached Beacon and the city.

The Airship itself was hovering over the academy.

"So everything's okay here."

Yang found something to say.

"Then I'm going after Blake, and you go find Ruby!"

Yang Xiao Long said while rushing towards the academy, glancing briefly at Rias's beautiful hair.

"As you wish..."

Weiss gave a thumbs-up.

"Hermione, Erina, how are you?"

Rias asked them with clear concern and approached them. They were still in armor, but their faces were visible.

"...I prefer cooking more."

Erina said quietly.

"I thought it was like a roller coaster for you two."

Shinoa murmured while twirling her scythe in her hands.

"Are you from Atlas?"

Pyrrha asked as she approached them. Then she turned her gaze to Shinoa and bowed.

"Thank you... for helping me at the Colosseum."

"It's nothing."

Shinoa waved her hand.

"With all these beauties here, Administrator-kun would surely enjoy it. Maybe that was his plan? To gather so many innocent girls in one place..."

"What are you talking about?"

Weiss asked even had a little strength left, and it was enough to be outraged at such a pervert.

"She's always like this, don't mind her."

Rias raised an eyebrow slightly.

"No, we're not from Atlas... we're just from far away."

"That guy who was with you, did he stay in the Colosseum?"

Weiss asked with a hint of interest.

"Is he the general's assistant?"

"He also managed to restore Penny."

After being able to escape from Ren's "capture," Nora added, and she stuck her tongue out at him.

Nora's words caught the attention of almost everyone, but Pyrrha noticed Ozpin's shadow at the academy.

"Where are you going?"

Jaune asked when he noticed Pyrrha had taken a few steps to the side.

"I need to go. I promised the Headmaster I would help with something, and it seems the time has come."

Pyrrha spoke confidently.

"Don't you think we have other problems besides some business with the Headmaster?"

Coco inquired lowering her glasses slightly to get a better look at the figure of Ozpin at the academy.

"This is important. Besides, it seems there are fewer Grimm here."

Pyrrha's words were truthful as there weren't many Grimm left in this part of the academy.

Those who were heading towards the city and the academy through the forest were now under fire from the air.

The flying Nevermores could not be seen because Cortana, who was in charge of Hermione and Erina's suits, had shot them down, and Rias had destroyed many of them.

"Is your weapon a skateboard? How does that even work?"

Hermione's question came as she looked at Reese... on a flying skateboard. After the question, she... fell off of it.

"Hey! Do you have something against my Hoverboard?"

Reese Chloris asked.

"I'm just curious."

Hermione shrugged considering that even a musical instrument could be considered a weapon.

"Rias, you're still standing in a heroic pose. You've watched too much anime, haven't you?"

Shinoa smirked at Rias' quick reaction who then pouted and stuck her tongue out saying, "Moou."

[Anthony's POV]

"Ahhh!"

Ruby screamed clutching onto me as we fell from the ship towards the ground.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

I asked slightly flying in the air and adjusting Ruby in my arms to look her in the eyes.

"Yes."

Ruby began to nod vigorously.

"I-I'm f-f-fine!"

Ruby continued to yell as we began to descend rapidly again.

I knew where the girls from the Group Group were as they all had either communicators or suits.

It wasn't hard to take control of the ship, but Cortana took a minute longer because she had to decrypt new codes and work with a slightly different method than she was used to.

Roman Torchwick and Neopolitan were the ones who had captured the ship and were well-known criminals.

I already knew that, but it was nice to gain access to their business.

However, there wasn't much—just speculation and uncertain information.

The question was how Neo was able to stop all the personnel and soldiers on a huge flying ship.

The answer was quite simple because of her Semblance.

She could actually infiltrate and become invisible with her Semblance, and she could disable people with or without semblance in the same way.

However, I believed there was someone else involved.

As we were flying down, there was a loud explosion.

When we turned our heads, we saw the mountain being destroyed and something large emerging from it.

"Wh-what i-is that?"

Ruby in my arms shrieked, her eyes widening even more at the sight.

Then they began to descend next to a crowd of hunter students among whom were the rest of my group.

"Ruby!"

Weiss shouted immediately rushing to Ruby and quickly grabbing her hand.

"Weiss! You won't believe it! I fought Roman and that little girl with the umbrella on the ship! I started losing, and then Tony arrived and took care of them in a couple of hits!"

Ruby exclaimed and made several punches in the air.

"Then he quickly took control of the ship, can you imagine? Oh, and we also saw a huge Grimm flying from the direction of Mount Glenn."

Ruby rambled.

"Roman? Grimm? I'm glad you're safe, you goof. "

Weiss hugged her.

"How are you guys here?"

I looked at Hermione and Nakiri.

"We're okay now... Cortana helped a lot, and I'm glad that I was able to help."

Hermione said it from inside the armor.

"Do we need to go further to clear out the Grimm?"

Rias asked.

"Cortana is handling that for now."

I said as the Atlesian Airship continued to shoot and it was clearly visible.

"Administrator-kun, you were holding this girl in your arms. Did you enjoy it?"

Shinoa's tone remained unchanged as she spoke while looking at Ruby.

"Well... yeah, I guess."

I admitted.

"Administrator? I've heard her call you more than once. Why does she call you that? And who are you five anyway?"

This demand for answers came from...

"You're so cute when you are angry."

I said with a slight smile while looking at Weiss to get her to quiet down.

"Wh-what?"

Weiss took a step back.

"Don't worry about it."

I waved my hand to push away those thoughts and tried not to look at Shinoa's mischievous grin.

"We're support that arrived... from somewhere."

I smiled wider, watching as Weiss stomped her foot and proudly turned away.

"Hmph."

"Weiss, where's Yang?"

Ruby asked.

"She went after Blake... who went after the White Fang!"

Weiss remembered suddenly.

"We need to go help them!"
