6 Getting The Job Done

'I should've known he'd be at a gathering for aristocrats. My looks alone have probably put me on his radar already.' He grumbled mentally.

It was way too soon to be interacting with Batman. To have him investigating…for Christ's sake! Sora had only been in this world for a day! If any inkling of suspicion occurred, it wouldn't be long before the Justice League found out.

By this point, Bruce had reached them. It was time to act the part. Sora put on a humble smile. The rich playboy eyed Alice before speaking.

"Welcome to the East Angel. It surprises me to say that I've never seen your face around these events. Are you new here? Oh- pardon my manners…" He gave an elegant bow with his hand on his chest. "I am Bruce Wayne, of Wayne Enterprises."

The man glanced at Sora for a split second before focusing on the unique woman. It was easy to notice, due to the lazy man's perception. Alice gave a sweet smile.

"Hello, Bruce. I've heard much about you. My name is Alice Lockhart. I don't normally show my face at events like this, but I decided to give it a try for once." She gave a cute curtsy.

"Oh? Splendid. Just know that you are always welcome to events like these. I will make sure that you are on the list every time. And who is this young man?" Only then did he focus on Sora.

The playboy persona disappeared as he scanned the white haired man. It wasn't a surprise. He was trying to figure Sora out.

"It's nice to meet you Mr. Wayne. My name is Sora Lockhart. It's hard to not know who you are, being the wealthiest man in Gotham."

The sleepy man gave a slight bow to show nobility. He could feel Bruce's analytical stare during the bow. By the time Sora looked up, he was back to his playboy persona.

"Nice to meet you, Sora. Maybe we can converse more some other time." The richest man proceeded to shake Sora's hand.

"Of course, Mr. Wayne." He replied.

At this moment, the young butler noticed someone who looked like the spitting image of God walking over. He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow upon seeing him.

'Morgan did say that his avatar would be in this realm.' Sora thought.

"Mr. Wayne, it's time for you to make a toast. The people are waiting!" He patted Bruce on the shoulder.

"Alright, Lucius. I'll be right there." Bruce nodded to Sora before following Lucius onto the main stage.

As they were leaving, Lucius glanced over to the sleepy man and smiled. Sora shook his head in response. It seems that God has too much time on his hands. Understandable.

'He must have a trace of himself in every universe.' He thought.

The young man finally turned back to Alice to see her fixated on her black nails. He quickly grabbed her hand before she bit them, knowing her tendencies. Unfortunately, a light flashed as soon as he did. Sora found the source to be Vicky Vale. She was currently looking at her camera to view the picture she just took.

A vein appeared on his forehead as he thought about how unsolicited it was. Not only that, but it would definitely start rumors. It didn't seem like Alice cared though as she was lost in her own world. The broken doll was staring at nothing, creeping out those around her. Her eyes were terrifying to those that lacked taste.

One thing Sora 'failed' to notice was Carmine Falcone leering at Alice from a corner. As they walked across the ballroom, his eyes flashed with a golden radiance for a split second. He was irritated.

'If he tries anything, I'll annihilate his entire family and gang.' He thought.

Bruce finally began speaking into the mic. Sora immediately tuned it out, trying his hardest not to look bored. Almost fifteen minutes passed as the speech went on and on. After a few more toasts and congratulatory speeches, Bruce finally left the stage.

The music kicked in as a whole orchestra began playing. Alice immediately snapped into reality, staring a hole into the back of Sora's head. He couldn't help but chuckle seeing her expression. Raising her hand to his lips, he smiled.

"Would you like to dance, Mademoiselle?"

"Mnn." She nodded happily. Teasing her was fun.

As it turns out, his natural talent applied to dancing as well. Perfect bodily control did apply to all actions, after all. Thank God for the hidden talent. His dancing skills were flawless and it made Alice look flawless as well.

At some point during the score, everyone began watching them dance. Bruce, Lucius, Vicky, Falcone, and Harvey Dent were among those watching. Unfortunately, Sora heard something mid-waltz that made his eyes grow cold. Falcone whispered to one of his goons.

"That woman…I want to see her in my bed by the end of the week. Get it done." He ordered with a sly smile. The goon nodded before making his exit.

As the lazy butler was thinking of how he would disintegrate them, a hand gently touched his face. Alice was giving him a worried look. Sora's cold expression instantly went back to his sleepy one.

"It's nothing…don't worry about it." He whispered.

"Are you sure?" She didn't believe it.

"...Of course. I just thought of something minor."

"Mnnn…okay." She relented.

Even though she was an airhead, she paid attention to the micro-details. Sora noted that he'd have to be careful with his expressions. A problem for another day.

As time passed, the two Lockharts could be seen chatting with more aristocrats. Alice needed to converse with them to cover the sponsoring of their brands and whatnot. Sora could feel the sleepiness coming but tried to fight it until he finished the rest of his 'job' for the night.

They eventually found themselves strolling down the red carpet once more. The limousine was at the end of the walkway, with the driver standing beside the open door. Sora made sure to let Alice in first before looking around. Falcone happened to be standing at the top of the stairs. He was eyeing Alice in the car.

After a few more seconds, he finally noticed Sora looking at him. The two made eye contact. The sleepy man didn't reveal anything from his face, only displaying exhaustion. A few more seconds passed. Finally, the old crime lord smirked and re-entered the building.

"...Alice." Sora spoke once he entered the vehicle.

"Hmmm?" She could tell that he was serious again.

"Where is the Falcone family's headquarters?" It didn't really sound like a question. More like an order for her to respond.

"I can show you the satellite view when we return. Does that work for you?"

"Perfect."

_______________

Late Night in Gotham City - 1:25 am

If one looked closely, they'd see a figure in a loose fitting black shirt and shorts. The figure was floating high up in the air, his form reflected by the moon. The extremely tired man was looking down at a massive chain of buildings. People moved to and fro, going about their business. Every single one of them was a thug.

'So this is where they all stay…Let's remove them.' Sora thought lazily.

He used his light sense to check if anyone didn't belong. Each of them seemed shady, so the coast was clear. It wasn't hard to find that old fuck. Carmine was relaxing in a jacuzzi while smoking a cigar.

Sora finally raised his finger, pointing at the establishment from the clouds. An extreme amount of arrogance could be seen on his face. Added to his sleepy expression, it gave off the aura of a tyrant.

A small speck of light formed at his fingertip. It grew brighter and brighter, and the orb grew larger. It was compressed multiple times.

"Ants…all of them. They reek of piss." He muttered. It was as if Sora had become a different person.

BZZZZT

Once the light reached its peak, it finally exploded. Thousands of small beams shot down onto the establishment, accurately drilling through each person's head. It resembled a shower of light falling onto earth.

It was extremely quick. If one wasn't looking at the sky in the last two seconds, they would miss it. Falcone had immediately dropped to the floor behind cover. He had no idea what was happening. It left him rattled. Shell shocked.

Before he could even process it, a shadow drowned out the moonlight. Carmine looked up to see a white haired figure standing over him. His hands were in his pockets. The old man's eyes widened in disbelief.

"You. Was this your doing?! What the fuck are you?" He spoke as calmly as he could. In reality, he was sweating bullets.

"...We meet again. Do you think I didn't hear what you were planning? Your life was on a timer once you made that comment." Sora spoke slowly. Carmine reached for his gun on the edge of the jacuzzi.

"I'm sure you're a reasonable guy right? Maybe we can work something out?" He said.

The old man tried to beg for his life in a way that didn't sully his dignity. How cute. What was this, an organized crime movie? Sora only watched as Carmine reached for the gun. Right before he grabbed it, the weapon disappeared.

"...That won't save you. Don't waste your time." The sleepy man commented. Carmine's sweat turned cold.

"Relax, man. Everything has a price. What can I offer? My assets? Money? Women? Status? I can make you the mayor. I can-"

"You know…" Sora interrupted.

He moved at inhuman speeds. His hand squeezed the old man's throat. Before Carmine could understand what was happening, they vanished with a flash of light. Suddenly, they were standing in a remote corner of Gotham Harbor.

"...It really pisses me off…"

He tapped the crime lord's kneecaps and elbows with speed, instantly shattering them. The old man was forced to sit on his bottom. None of the pain had registered yet. Their change of location hadn't registered yet.

"...When people go after what's mine."

Only now did Carmine's brain catch up. His face went white due to the pain, but he didn't scream. Commendable.

"Don't-Don't do this…" He finally pleaded.

The old man could see Sora backing up and stretching his legs. He was being so casual about it that Carmine knew he was beyond saving. The sleepy man eventually finished stretching.

"...Have you ever skipped rocks?" Sora called out. He was a bit further away now.

"Please don't kill-"

Before Carmine could finish his sentence, Sora's foot was already connecting with his face. It was as if the young man had teleported. The old man's head exploded from the force of the kick. The sheer pressure blew away all of the nearby sand. Even then, the momentum sent his corpse flying.

DING

Falcone's body shot across the Atlantic Ocean. Whenever it tapped the water, a piece of his mangled body would rip off. His corpse was like a rock, skipping over the water again and again. Eventually, nothing was left.

"...A job well done." Sora muttered before flashing away.

Meanwhile, a woman with silver hair and bunny ears was standing in shock on one of the docked ships. She had a pink mask that covered the upper portion of her face. She wore a corset and only had on pink panties. A bunny tail sat right above her butt. Her pink eyes were wide with disbelief. Her mouth wouldn't close.

'What…What the…Who the HELL was that?!' She thought.
