5 Chapter 5: Sirens and Triton

It has been two weeks since I went for my walk. I managed to learn a lot about this world. There are a lot of Superheroes like Marvel. The city I was in was called Metropolis and I am currently in Gotham. I heard that Gotham had a lot of bad guys. I could use them as punching bags for my techniques. I still have no idea how strong they are out of the sea.

As I was walking in the streets, I found a beaten blond woman who had blue all over her face as well as blood. Someone had beaten her. She wore a red and black one-piece suit with Diamond, Clover, Heart, and Spade symbols. A group of thugs was starting to circle her unconscious body. It bugged me so I decided to help her.

I beat them up and then asked the last person standing if he knew her. He did and I asked him if he knew where she lived. He did not. I asked him if he knew where her friends lived. He lied by feigning ignorance but after three fists of truth, his guilt could not take anymore. He cried while telling me where it was.

I grabbed her in a princess carry and told the thug to lead the way. He did and after fifteen minutes we found ourselves in front of a club called "The Sirens". He begged me if he could leave. As soon as I agreed he did the "killer technique: Ussop Dash". I walked up to the club, it looked closed. As I was inches away from the door. Vines sprouted from the ground and wrapped around me. I let them since I did not sense any killing intent from them.

The door opened and a woman with red hair and green skin dashed out of it. She screamed a name I assumed to belong to the unconscious woman in my arms. Another woman that was dressed in a tight latex suit and cat hear walked out of the club. She seemed to be calming the green woman. I was getting tired of being tied up, so I used my Haoshoku Haki to make the plants release me much to the confusion of both women.

I learned that I had minor telepathy during my time in Atlantis. I could command the Sealife including the plants though for them it was mostly to stop from wiggling. It took a few seconds for them to come out of their shock. They stopped me as I was calmly leaving. They asked me what happened, and I told them how I met the unconscious blonde woman. At that moment they yelled that they were going to castrate some clown called "The Joker". I continued and they seemed to look at me in a positive light as I felt it through my Haki.

It seems that they had seen how badly the thug that left was and were able to imagine how the rest were. They invited me inside as a way to thank me. I accepted as I did not have any place to stay and transmuting matter into food takes energy out of me. Though I gain a bit more energy than I lose by eating, it is not something that I should get used to. I learned that they were called Poison Ivy, the green one, and Catwoman. The unconscious blonde was called Harley Quinn.

It seems that the fact that I saved her best friend and that I could talk to plants earned me a lot of points in Ivy's eyes. Catwoman instantly loved me when she saw me transmuting a glass into a glass made of sapphire after I touched the sapphire she had just stolen. I was now her little brother.

She asked me if I could transmute a few things into diamonds to which I did as it was practice for me. I had little time to practice this while I was in Atlantis. Magic, Hasshoken, Haki, and Karate training was time-consuming.

Harley took a full day to wake up. They tried to talk her out of it, but she wanted to go see, from what Ivy said, her toxin boyfriend. As she was about to leave, she fainted. They were confused at what happened until I told them that I did it and that she was just unconscious nothing serious.

They thanked me and started brainstorming on what to say to Harley. After three days of not making any progress, I decided to help since I knew why she wanted to leave.

Harley: Hey Kid, I know you're the reason I pass out! Stop doing that or I'm going to bash your skull into thousands of pieces.

Acnologia: Why do you want to go meet Joker?

Harley: HA! A kid like you would never understand this but it's because of love-

Acnologia: No, it's because you don't want to be lonely.

This stopped her.

Harley: HA! How would you know, you are barely a teen?

Acnologia: I'm twelve and for your information, I spend my first six years alone at the bottom of the sea with no one to talk to.

This shocked all three women.

Harley: HA! You better come up with a more believable story-

I showed them my gills.

Acnologia: I'm from Atlantis. My mom found me at the age of six malnourish and ready to fight anything. I know how you fill because I felt that when she died.

Harley looked at me with a thoughtful look.

Harley: I see, she must have been blonde right?

I nodded.

Harley: I see so you see her in me and now you are trying to "save" me like she saved you but listen here-

Acnologia: I don't see her in you. I see my old self. I heard you used to be a psychiatrist. What you are doing is a classic denial mix with the defensive mentality that you must have seen with a lot of your previous patients.

Harley: I-You-

Acnologia: If you want to prove us wrong how about we bring Joker here and I will make him tell the truth?

Ivy: You can do that?

Harley: HA! Nice try, you are just going to make him say what you want him to say-

Acnologia pointed his index at Harley before turning it while talking.

Acnologia: Harley, is there anything you would like to confess Catwoman or Ivy?

Harley: Selina, I am the one that stole that diamond you took from the Penguin but Batman took it before I could pawn it. Ivy, Firefly was not the one that burned that Park, you loved it was Mr. J.

Selina: Okay, I'm convinced and Harley, you own me a diamond.

Ivy: I'm going to use that clown as fertilizer after we are done with him.

Harley looked at me like I had killed her dog. Good thing her last name was not Wick. She eventually believed me. I knew that her confidence was a front as she was nervous about what Joker was going to say.

Baiting him here was easier than I thought. Selina told people that she had a joke that made people's heads explode and two days later Joker came barging in. Ivy had restrained Harley when I said that he was near. The Joker was obviously not happy to learn that the joke was a lie. I did to Joker the same thing I did to Harley.

Acnologia: Joker, what do you really think of Harley?

Joker: She is the most…

Harley had hope in her heart, but the next words shattered it.

Joker: …reusable tool you can find in Gotham.

Acnologia: Do you love her? Do you think she is special?

Joker: HAHAHAHAHA! Why would I love her? She is a dime a dozen; I can always make more of her but why waste time when the original is still ticking? HAHAHAHAHA! AH! WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME? HARLEY! DEAR, don't believe what I just said. I was manipulated.

Harley was crying. She did not hear Joker's lies. I hugged her while Selina and Ivy were beating the laughers out of Joker. They stopped when Batman came and saved the Joker. I learned about the most famous heroes and villains in case I had to fight them. He took the unconscious Joker while Selina and Ivy were comforting Harley.

He looked in my direction before speaking.

Batman: You are very far from Atlantis.

I looked at him dead in the eyes.

Acnologia: And you are dressed like a bat. Now if we are done stating the obvious what do you want?

He narrowed his eyes. I had heard that people were scared of him, but I was not for one reason. I did not allow fear to affect me.

Batman: Don't go anywhere. I will be back.

Acnologia: I will go where I want, and I did not allow you to tell me what to do. Remember that.

He left. I am willing to guess that he will bring Orion in hope of him ordering me around.

A month went by, and I got myself a nickname. I was called Triton. I had become the bouncer for the club while Selina and Ivy were busy trying to cheer up Harley. I was called Triton because they figured out that I was Atlantean and the fact that whenever people acted out, they would pass out. Batman had been watching me from the shadow but since I did not sense any intention to attack, I let him do whatever he was doing.

Thugs from villains like Two-face and The Penguin came looking for trouble, but I beat them black and blue before their attitude did a one-eighty. I noticed that people of this world had soft bodies. I would kill them if I tried any techniques I had in mind. I limited it to just basic punches and kicks.

People started to take me seriously when The Joker brought all his goons with him only for me to beat all of them. They started to compare me to Batman but the difference was that the goons never came to fight me after one beating. I spend my days eating and surfing the net when I was neither training nor being a bouncer.

After two more months, Harley became cheerful again. I was now one of her favorite people in the world instead of the one that ruin her relationship. To ruin, something must be there in the first place. I kept that thought to myself as she was finally over her fear of being alone. Selina, Harley, and ivy treated me as the little brother of our group now. I did not mind that.

After six months of living with them, Batman finally brought Orion with him along with three other people. They were The Flash, Martian Manhunter, and Wonder Woman. I could sense that Superman was not outside.
