"I said that you would be perfect for this." Said a beautiful black-haired woman.
"Yea… how about… No!" The brown-haired boy rolled his eyes.
"Aww~ but your powers are perfect for this mission." The woman said, scratching the man's cheek.
"*Sigh* You do know that I left that job a long time ago." He sighed. "By the way, the long hair suits you."
"You think so? I think this will be a bit inconvenient during my wo- Hey no changing the subject, mister!" This made the man chuckle. "But anyways… Good to have you back, Blake."
"Yeah… Feels good to be back, Selina."

"You sure have opened quite the hotspot for… our people." I felt myself raising an eyebrow looking at the people around the club.
Selina giggled. "Yeah, it's fun being here."
"So when did you start this business?" I asked.
She puts a finger on her chin before answering. "Around a few years ago… you have a lot to catch up."
True… I have been away for a few years now. I was here before all the superhero drama started. The only hero and villain were the Bat and the Joker.
"Is the bat still as annoying as ever." I remember him chasing after me from all those years ago… *Sigh* quite a lot of memories.
"He is… and he is still as interesting as ever." This got me to raise an eyebrow.
"Don't tell me… you got a crush on the bat?!?" Please tell me it's a joke. I don't care who she dates… but the bat is the worst possible choice.
"I did."
What?!? Wait! She said 'did.'
"Did?" I felt my curiosity rising… and she knew that.
She smirked. "Don't tell me that you are jealous~"
"*Pfft* Yeah please. You know that I don't care about love. I never date."
She rolled her eyes.
"And why would I be jealous? I have been with almost every type of girl. Supermodels, actresses, doctors, politicians, teachers… any profession you can think of… I have had been with almost every one of them."
Selina and I did have a little history… but I never got serious about it.
Cause as I said… I don't date.
She seemed a little sad, but I can't help it. I have never been good with words… especially not with comforting others.
"Forget it. Tell me about Gotham. Any new villains or heroes? Anyone of importance… dead?" The last major villain I heard about was Steppenwolf and that incident didn't take place in Gotham.
"Actually a lot happened within the past few years." She poured me some vodka. "Like the Justice league formation, and even the formation of a mini Justice league."
I have heard about the Justice League… they were everywhere, from newspapers, radios, televisions, the internet… everywhere.
"What's the mini Justice League?" Never heard about a mini League.
"*Giggle* I call them that, but their actual name is the Young Justice."
"Young Justice?" Funny name.
"Yeah, they are a group of young heroes who were either the sidekicks of the members of the Justice League or... are too young and inexperienced to be placed in the League. So the Justice League made sort of a branch for them and they are named the Young Justice."
"Sounds like an interesting bunch."
"More like a bunch of troublesome kids." Wait a second… That deep voice sounds familiar.
Turning around, I find a giant man with reptilian features.
"Waylon, My friend! How are you?" Waylon Jones or the Killer Croc, one of the villains/criminals of Gotham… and my good friend… laughed at my question.
"Been better when I was your partner in crime." I chuckled at that. Yeah when I was active in the past, he and I were partners.
"I hope that the bat ain't being a nuisance?"
He sighed which made me raise an eyebrow. "You know him… he is the bat. It is impossible for him to 'not' be annoying."
True that. He was annoying when I first met him… And those kinds of people don't change.
"So are you coming back to business?" Waylon had an expectant smile on his face. But sadly for him…
"Sorry, pal… But I have retired. I am an author now… and I got an appointment to be a teacher as well." Waylon's face fell when I said that I have retired but looked confused when I said about teaching.
"Teacher?" Selina curved her lips. "You? A teacher?"
Why do they look so surprised?
"You do know that I have a double masters degree in physics and also gold medals… right?"
Selina thought about it for a while before answering. "I almost forgot about that… but imagining you as a teacher is still funny."
"*Sigh* Better than being jobless. Anyways what are you doing tonight, Waylon?"
The crocodile smiled. "I was part of the mission that Selina will be attempting." He laughed. "If you were with us… We would have completed it without much effort."
I chuckled. "Yes, but I am retired."
"I know. And I do miss those old days, are sure that you cannot make an exception for once?"
Selina, Croc, and I always did our missions together. So what he said is not wrong… It was always fun when we were together.
I turned around to find Selina staring at me with puppy eyes… This woman… Isn't she supposed to be a cat? So what's up with those eyes?
"*Sigh* You know what? We are in Gotham, the city of crime. Maybe one mission won't hurt."

"Are you sure that this is the location?" Kara was flying without care… So I am not even sure if she heard me.
"That's what Batsy said." Oh, yes… super hearing.
"Well according to the reports it's only Catwoman and Croc… So we should be able to handle them. And Megan said that she would be here if we needed her help." Croc will be a bit difficult for me to handle… but with Kara's help, it won't be a problem.
"They should be here in a while." Batman has information about almost everything... So he got this information early as well.
"Waiting is boring, I hope that they come soon." This girl… *Sigh*
"We just got here… But I do agree with them coming soon. I have early classes tomorrow. And I heard that we will have a new professor."
"New professor? Is he hot?"
"Really Kara? That's your question?" She shrugs her shoulders.
"University is boring… Hot boys are the only good that it has." I felt myself rolling my eyes.
You can learn so much from university and all she cares about is… hot boys?
"Anyways, stay vigilant."
