REMEMBRANCE

It was a pitch black hour in the Waste-lands, the gates into Goru Sein's town was wide open, manned by four guards; within the inner section of the town, other guards patrolled about holding torches.

At an instant, four figures clothed in brown hooded cloak overpowered the four guards at the gate from behind then slit their throats before dragging them to the corners of the creaking wooden wall of the town. They continued into the town welding bows, followed behind them were the elite team of the Morning Star - Taven, Elroy, Malachite, Aria and Jacob, their hoods party veiled.

"Stand guard and plan our escape Aria, in case things go sideways." Taven proposes.

"Don't slack on us if it comes to that." Elroy added

"Sure love," Aria assured with a wink.

"Don't push your luck miss." Jacob interrupted.

Taven hurried into the town alongside Elroy, Malachite and Jacob. As they trended through the main streets of the town, the bodies of the town guards laid in hidden corners with arrows pierced through their necks.

Getting to a log cabin at the middle of the town everyone drew their swords except Jacob.

With a gentle push from Jacob, the door creaked until it was halfway through, waving the go ahead sign Taven steps in with Elroy, followed by the four figures then Jacob. Surprisingly to them the cabin was empty, it seemed as though no one had even lived in it, they proceeded cautiously towards the door at the far end of the cabin, Elroy watched every angle, a deep deadly stench clog unto the room.

"Behind you," a deep voice whispered out, spurring everyone to make a quick turn.

They came face on with a pale, tall young man, well built in his torso and chest, having short russet hair and the beauty of a lady.

With the outward wave of his hands, a vigor pulled two of the figures out of the cabin through the glass window. No one had to give a command before they realized how bad things had gone, the other two figures quickly nocked two arrows each then loosed them at the man; evading two arrows the others stopped in front of his face then shot back at the figures, sending them to a quick death.

Jacob began throwing knives at the man giving way for everyone else to advance forward. The man was swift and quick in his movements, before their eyes he appeared in front of Jacob, grabbing hold of his face, he slammed Jacob's head into the plank floor, shattering it.

As soon as he lifted up his head Elroy slashed his face, he staggered backwards with his head bowed. He chuckled mischievously, slowly lifting up his face unveiling the wound healing up as the blood withdrew into it the cut.

"What are you?" Elroy asked with a trembling gaze.

Elroy had dealt with bad people over the years, the toughest of the tough, yet none measured up to the terror the foe he now face harbored.

Not minding the situation, Taven and Malachite advanced past Elroy, brandishing and thrusting ferociously at the man, who swiftly evaded each attack smirking.

"More boys more," the man urged, enjoying the pleasure he received from the fight, "your female accompanist put up a more entertaining fight before I ripped her heart out."

With an alarming scream Elroy dashed through Taven and Malachite, thrusting his sword into the man, fastening him to the wall.

"Take a break lover-boy," the man spoke cheerfully, not showing any sign of pain even though he was bleeding profusely.

The man held tightly unto Elroy's hand then pulled the sword out, Elroy watched again as the wound healed up, before he knew it the man slammed him on the wall then threw him towards Taven and Malachite.

Malachite was quick enough to dash away, but Taven clashed with Elroy, Malachite slashed with intensity and zeal - hoping to deal much damage on the man, but it was of no use; it seemed as though the man saw every attack before Taven even lifted his sword.

Malachite came in hot, striking wide and swift, yet the man back-stepped it, closing in on Malachite; he never saw it coming, the man stabbed his hand into Malachite - reaping out his heart.

Taven screamed out as he watched Malachite drop to the ground, Elroy who was about standing watched in despair; knowing fully well things had reached its dire end. Taven gave a war cry, charging head-on, brandishing his sword at the man with exactness and all his strength. It did pay, slashing the man from time to time but it was to no avail, the wounds kept healing itself.

The man whirled away from the thrust, pushing his hand against Taven, a vigor twirling with black lightning sparks threw Taven across the room, slamming him on the wall by the end.

As though it was a last and finally opportunity, Elroy was before the man, eyes heavy and intense, his sword came whistling towards the man's neck.

The man quickly blocked with his arm, still the blade sliced through - stopping inches at his neck.

His eyes twirled black, "such wasted talent."

The man slammed his fist into Elroy, which tossed him out of the building - crashing hard on the dirt.

"Finished here are we?" The man walks out from the building. "I shall have you for the Dark lord, you will be marked."

The slaves in the town gathered at a distance, beholding the demise of those who dared challenge Goru Sein.

Elroy groaned and coughed out droplets of blood, unable to breath normally nor hear clearly, the sharp-hard pain pressing on all side of his chest as though being crushed by a boulder.

"You will make a great brother boy," Goru praised as he approaches Elroy.

Elroy tried with all he had left - crawling away, his trembling eyes watching death again years after the incident with Orlanda.

"Like hell," a voice spoke from behind Goru.

Goru immediately turned around but met with Taven's sword slicing through his neck. Tavern could see the shock in Goru's eyes as his head fell off to the ground, yet the body still stood still, looking over at the head his eyes met with that of Goru, hallow black eyes beaming out an aura of fear, Taven immediately backed away from it, his quivering body refusing to keep still.

"Are you scared of death boy?" Goru's head asked with a smirk, black flames screeching on his body. "I am the birth of the end, let the world be cleansed in death," the body explodes in black fumes.

BEGINNING OF THE END

With a deep breath Elroy opens his eyes, after taking in enough air he narrowed his eyes downwards and saw he was lying on a bed, he straightened up gently turning his head to his side and found Elisa sitting close to him, smiling.

"He's awake," she cried out.

A tumbling sound resounded followed by hasty steps, Mira rushed into the room, gazing at Elroy with a sorrowful look, she walks quickly to him then hugged him warmly, pressing Elroy against her body.

"Don't do that again," she spoke softly then straightened up.

"Like I had a choice," Elroy held his head.

"Welcome back El," Lukas greeted, standing alongside other members of team five.

"Good to see friendly faces again." Elroy spoke with a smile.

"Next time you make Mira feel bad, I'll kill you myself." Karin assured

"Missed you too Karin, how long was I out?"

"Two weeks," answered Mira.

"Two whole weeks? What of the Succilin?"

"Gone without a trace, she disappeared after exploding in black smoke." Said Mira

"Just like a level three demon" Elroy included.

"Yes, we thought we were done for, we were all with in the blast range." Mira lowered her gaze.

"Not your fault Mira," Elroy made it clear, "there was no way we could avoided it, still, how in the world are we still alive?"

"That we can’t explain, it didn’t harm us, all it did was render us unconscious. We owe it to Elisa for caring for us. "

"There's no need for that, thanks to you my town is safe again." Elisa pointed out.

"We won't forget this," Elroy assured, "I don't think I want to remember my past anymore." Elroy whispered to Mira while everyone was engaged in a discussion.

"Why? What happened?" Mira asked curiously.

"I remembered quite a lot of things that happened, I see only death and I don't want that memory."

"It's alright El, I'm here for you." Mira held his hand.

"I'm glad to hear that," Elroy smiled at her. "I'm starving," he spoke out, "what's on for today?"

"Thought you'll never ask" Hector sighed, which made everyone laugh.

BEGINNING OF THE END

It was dull and windy in the marsh lands of Rune clan, Prince Fredrick trots his horse alongside Tihon, Sri Ivan and two Royal guard towards the town while two men rides towards them from the town.

"Your highness," the men greeted with a bow as soon as they got close enough.

"Luke, Rachit, where are we?" Fredrick asked.

"We are in the South-west lands, the clan of Rune, across this town and the vast ocean is the South-west kingdom, Ramenia." Said Luke, the oldest of the men.

"And the culprits?" Asked Fredrick.

"They are six in number, two females and four males, but they are not in town now."

"Why are you still here then?"

"They were journeying deeper into unknown lands in the South, so we decided to wait here for their return." Luke assured.

"What makes you certain of their return?"

"They left in a hurry, it seems they were on a mission."

"Then I'll take your word on this, what's the cult called?"

"Seekers squad."

"A cult of six, we will rest and wait for their return here, our mission is to capture Elroy alive. Every other member can be killed if they resist.” Fredrick declared. "Return home with the royal guards, I'll take it from here."
