29 I Don't Want to Mention It Anymore

Five bright red fingerprints appeared on Su Jian's cheeks and because she twisted her ankle the day before, she almost fell and had to hold on to the cabinet to steady herself. Despite not falling, she could feel a piercing pain coming from her ankle. 

Su Jian forced herself to remain silent, looked up at Ye Nuan Nuan, and said calmly, "If you don't feel satisfied, you can hit me a few more times."

Ye Nuan Nuan glared at her angrily, "Do you think I'll forgive you for all the disgusting things you've done just by slapping you a few times? You can scram now. Don't ever appear in front of me again. Otherwise, I'll beat you up every time I see you!"

Su Jian glanced at the man who was standing silently at the side and suddenly felt a sense of mockery in her heart.

She dragged her heavy and tired body out of the apartment and hailed a taxi to leave.

The moment she got into the car, she received a call from Jiang Yan to ask her about her conversation with Zhou Lu. Su Jian held her phone, but she couldn't say a word for a long time.

On the other end, Jiang Yan immediately realized that something was wrong and told Su Jian to take a taxi to her company to look for her.

Jiang Yan personally went to the first floor of the company to pick her up. When she saw the red mark on her face and her crippled leg, Jiang Yan immediately said nervously, "How did you end up like this? Who hit you? Is it Ye Nuan Nuan?"

Rage rose in Jiang Yan's eyes. If Su Jian hadn't tried to stop her, Jiang Yan would have rushed over to do the same thing to Ye Nuan Nuan.

Jiang Yan got even angrier after hearing the whole story, She said in a deep voice, "I was right. The two of you were drunk that night. But why would Ye Nuan Nuan hit you? If she wanted to fight, she should have fought Zhou Lu. You were so drunk at that time that even if you took the initiative. It takes two hands to clap. She's the one who can't control her man. Why should she hit you?"

Jiang Yan had always been rational and calm. However, when it came to Su Jian, she only believed in one principle, and that is how she would help her and not ask for a reason, she would be biased and trust them unconditionally.

Moreover, she especially hated those boyfriends who cheated on their girlfriends. The current girlfriends will always blame it on the new girl and forgive their boyfriend.

Su Jian didn't avoid her responsibility, "No matter what, I'm at fault. I didn't get slapped unjustly."

Jiang Yan feeling regretful, said in a muffled voice, "I was wrong. If I hadn't asked Zhou Lu to send you back that night, none of this would have happened. This slap should be given to me instead."

She had misjudged Zhou Lu. Jiang Yan didn't expect that Zhou Lu would be able to watch Ye Nuan Nuan attack Su Jian without doing anything.

At first, she was quite optimistic about Zhou Lu and thought that he might be able to reunite with Su Jian. But now, even if Su Jian was willing to get back together with him, she would not agree.

No matter what, Zhou Lu should take half of the responsibility for this. How could he push all this onto Su Jian?

Su Jian's hope in Zhou Lu was completely extinguished. Su Jian could only place her hopes on Jiang Yan.

"Don't worry, I've taken care of it," Jiang Yan said calmly.

"Really? Yan Yan, you're my guardian goddess!" Su Jian gave Jiang Yan a big bear hug in excitement before she asked worriedly, "He didn't take advantage of you, did he?"
