Merchant guild ranking system

Guild member ranks and registration fees are as follows:

1. Meerseniers/Local Merchants- 5 gold coins for the registration fee and 5 gold coins as an annual fee. They get a free appraisal on their goods when they join the guild and an accompanying certificate showing the class of the goods and their appraisal results.

2. Koopman- The amount they are charged varies depending on the rank given by the guild. They are ranked and charged accordingly as follows;

a) Red

A red rank member is charged 100 gold coins. They are charged 50 gold coins as the registration fee and the other 50 is the annual membership fee.

Trade Charter deals confirming trade with more than a couple of towns within the Kingdom

The volume of trade of goods and services needs to equate to a certain minimum standard.

Appraisal of the good needs to be atleast grade 4 medium standard

b) Orange

200 gold coins which are split between 100 gold coins as the registration fee and the extra 100 as the annual fee.

Trade charter deals that are registered with atleast 2 kingdoms

Deals in at least more than 1 kind of good. Of which an appraisal needs to be done.

Appraisal standards of the goods need to be at Grade 6 medium standard.

c) Yellow

300 gold coins which are split between 150 for registration and 150 as an annual fee.

Trade charter deals with atleast 4 Kingdoms

Deals in more than 2 varied goods of significant volume and quality. The value of the deal is what is usually judged in the case where the quantity can be low but the quality is high.

An appraisal is done on the goods and it needs to reach Grade 7 high in the appraisal chart.

d) Green

500 Gold coins is charged with 250 charged as the registration fee with the remaining 250 being an annual membership fee.

Trade deals charter with atleast 5 Kingdoms.

The number of varied goods being traded needs to be atleast 5.

Appraisal on goods to be conducted and the results need to be atleast grade 7 minimum.

e) Blue

700 Gold coins is charged with half being the registration fee and the remaining half being the annual membership fee.

Trade charter deals with atleast 10 Kingdoms. It may be spread out within 2 continents atleast.

The number of varied goods being traded needs to be atleast 5.

Appraisal valuation of the goods needs to be atleast Grade 8 minimum.

f) Indigo

900 Gold coins is charged with half being for the registration fee and the remaining half being the annual membership fee.

Trade charter deals that span atleast 3 continents and the number of nations involved to be atleast 15.

Goods and services being traded atleast need to be 6 in number.

Appraisal results atleast half of the goods need to have a valuation of Grade 9. Or alternatively have a single good with a valuation reaching 10 while the rest need to be atleast Grade 7.

g) Violet

1000 gold coins is charged with half being charged as the registration fee and the remaining half being the annual fee.

Trade charter deals that span 3 continents with the number of nations involved in the trade deals numbering atleast 30.

Varied goods and services being traded need to be atleast of 10 different types.

Half of the appraisal value of the goods and services need to be atleast grade 10 with the remaining half being grade 9.

They also need to get half the votes of the existing guild members inorder to be promoted to the violet grade. This is to prevent the more powerful members from stifling the fledglings who may very well decide if they make it to the violet grade or not
