"Input name as 'Gale'!" An enthusiastic yell could be heard.

[Good luck User. The galaxy is at your fingertips]

With that parting phrase, Gale was released from the suspended space, free falling down towards the planet below him.

"WOOHOO!!!!" Gale yelled as he was suddenly thrown into a impromptu skydive.

"AMAZING! The feeling of wind in my face, the roaring in my ears! The sudden sense of doom as the ground rapidly approaches my face!"

Rapidly falling towards the ground, Gale covered his face in a ineffective attempt to protect his head and bracing himself for the impact.

Only for the impact to never come. Confused, Gale opened his eyes only to see himself standing on the ground, with no signs of him being in free fall.

"God what a tease. At least I don't have to experience death as my first venture into Dawn." Gale laughed aloud before dusting himself off.

"Whew. What a start. Looks like they throw you right into the wilderness, no tutorial or anything..."

[Keyword detected, 'Tutorial'. Initiating Basic Tutorial. Activating Advance Tutorial Quest line]

"Whoa, neat. Lets see what this tutorial is all about." Gale spoke as he sat in some shade under a tree like plant.

"So this game is as close to a copy of reality as it can get. Health, Stats, Hunger, Thirst. Wow everything really is a copy of reality. Unhuh, so the pain threshold is set at default, which is 50%, but you can crank it up all the way to 100%. Neat. Lets do that immediately." Gale read as he begun adjusting some settings.

[Alert, Setting pain threshold to 100% is irreversible, Are you sure you wish to proceed?]

"Hell yeah I want to proceed. Reduced pain tolerance is just going to weaken my senses over time."

[Action confirmed, Pain threshold removed. User will feel 100% of all pain]

"Sweet!" Gale got up and started jumping around and doing some light physical activities to confirm the effects.

"Phew, can 100% confirm that they have been removed. What's next?" Gasping for air, Gale sat back down and continued to read the tutorial screen.

"So all actions are permanent? Each person has their own avatar here? And you can't change it?" Gale pondered at what that would imply. "So no one can sell their account for money? Awesome, no p2w schemes."

Scrolling through more of the tutorial that further explained how each action would shape your future. So each choice a player made can either be a boon in the future, or cause the complete downfall.

"Cruel, but fair. I love what I'm reading so far." As Gale reached the end of the tutorial, it begun to describe the planet he was on.

"So this planet is a 'ruined' planet, great treasures await those who have the capability to find them huh." Gale stood up and the unique prospects that awaited him.

"You are apart of 5% of the player base that encountered and read through the entirety of the basic tutorial. A starter bag has been awarded along with a map of your current planet. Good luck on your adventure."

As Gale read the last word, the screen he was reading shattered, and in its place a backpack appeared along with a wrist console.

"This must be the starter bag then. Along with the map of the planet." Gale muttered as he put on the console. "Let's see what's inside the bag!"

Opening the first pouch, a all-climate jacket was the first item to appear, next came a all-climate sleeping bag with a built in buffer. Beneath all that was a bottle of water and a small pouch of water purification tablets.

"Sweet, no need to worry about water now, I guess this amount of tablets can purify a couple metric tons of water. What's in the second pouch then?" Gale wondered as he set aside the jacket and sleeping bag.

A all purpose knife. Some condensed rope. Medicinal tablets and bandages. Arrow heads and several condensed food bars.

"Sweet, this is some nice stuff. A laser pistol would also be nice, but you can't have everything handed to you." Gale sighed as he reorganized all his stuff.

He strapped the knife to his body, tied the rope around his wrist. As for the bag, he could only fit the bottle of water, the purification tablets, condensed food bar, and medicinal supplies. For now, he put on the jacket and strapped the sleeping bag to the bottom of the backpack.

Lifting the bag up and strapping it to himself, Gale stood up and declared to the world: "My name is Gale! I shall conquer the entire galaxy!"

Nothing but the sound of rustling leaves in the wind replied to him.

Embarrassed, Gale ran down hill in a random direction.

"At least someone react to me!" Gale cried as he activated the console on his wrist, bringing up the world map.

"How funny, they gave me a map that contains the location on literally everything of a ruined world? And they classify a 'ruined world' as the greatest treasure chest for mankind?" Gale smirked to himself. "Time for a massive power boost! Destination set! Nearest Armory! Go Go Go!!!"

With those words, Gale broke into a brisk jog, following the path displayed on the console. He had made up a plan to set the armory as his temporary base for now, and begun setting and marking animal traps along the way.

"Wait a minute, are there even animals on this planet?" Gale wondered, and as if answering his question, he stumbled on a exposed root and fell into a pile of fecal matter. "..."

Slowly pulling himself up, he grumbled and cursed whatever made that pile of poop to die under his traps as he redirected himself to the nearest water source, a river.

As he reached the river, Gale broke into a run and jumped directly into the water.

*SPLASH*

"HOLY SHIT THAT IS COLD!!!" Gale yelped as he regretted every decision he's made thus far.

Climbing out onto the bank, Gale laid there motionless, waiting for the sun to dry him.

"A fire would be mighty helpful right now, Its unfortunate that they didn't include a Firestarter with the starter pack." Gale grumbled as he took off his pack. In the process of taking it off, he discovered a hidden pouch on the side. "Guess I didn't look hard enough haha."

As he expected, Gale found a flint and steel, along with some kindling and a magnesium block.

"Time to collect some burnable materials." Gale grumbled as he got up to scavenge around. "It's nice that the jacket dries extremely fast, but my shirt and pants are still soaking cold."

Fumbling about for a couple minutes before returning with a arm full of sticks, Gale built a campfire and lit it with the magnesium block.

"Ah that's nice, hopefully my clothes dry fast. Being buck naked is not a nice feeling when you're outside." Gale shivered as he warmed himself on the fire.

His gray hair was still dripping wet as he tried to squeeze all the water out.

"Thankfully all the poop got washed off when I jumped in" Gale spoke to himself. "I also saw some aquatic animals, so fishing for meat is also on the table. Speaking of food, Thankfully the main pouch is water tight. Don't want to lose those compressed food blocks, nor all my purification tablets."

"Hmm, I still have a couple hours of daylight." Gale calculated with his hands. "Should have enough time to explore the armory and set up camp."

After sitting around and doing some light aerobic exercise for half an hour, Gale put on his dried clothes, put out the fire, and resumed his journey to the ruined armory. This time paying more attention to where he went so he wouldn't have to experience an unpleasant bath again.

Trekking through the woods, and placing a snare trap every so often, Gale finally reached the entrance of the ruined armory just as the sun begun to set.

"Oh wise armory of the ruined planet." Gale solemnly spoke, "Show me everything you have!"
