21: Talent

As soon as the instructions were given the kids started to look around for their Crystal balls, it took Wade a minute or two to find his which was by chance in the front row.

After seeing that everyone was at their spot the old man said, "Now all of you place your hands on the crystal ball!"

Wade followed the elder's instructions and placed both of his hands on the crystal ball.

Flaming hot! Was the feeling that he started to feel all over his body, a strange hot feeling was transmitted from the tip of his fingers.

Wade's head started to hurt, as if there was a flame stirring inside his head, along with the start of his headache, the crystal ball in front of Wade also emitted a faint glow.

"Very good! Don't let go!" The Elder said while seeing a screen in front of him which came from inside his own crystal ball.

As the pain increased, the crystal ball in Wade's hands also grew brighter, "No! No more!"

Wade clenched his teeth, and the pain that practically split his brain into two caused him to loosen his grip uncontrollably.

After he let go of the Crystal ball he started to take deep breaths to calm his nerves while he was looking around, he could see most of them were in his situation while only two kids we're still holding their crystal, looking at the elder he could see the elders anticipation from his eyes while looking at the two kids who had just released their grip from the Crystal ball.

"Okay! So you are all at this level?" The elder nodded his head. He took out a feather pen and scribbled on her crystal ball.

"Now look at your results first and then I will tell you a little about the test and the rest will be left to other teachers," the elder said.

Wade looked into the crystal ball and he taught he was seeing a computer screen.

[ Aptitude - Grade 4.

Element - Shadow, Darkness, Fire, Earth.

Talent - Clone: can create a clone according to host making, consists of strength based on creation, helpful during escape or curse situation.

Status- Strength - 0.95 Agility - 0.95

Vitality - 1.0. Spirit-1.60.

Magic Power - 0.05 ]

"We have categorised the aptitude of the Apprentice's into five grades, with the first grade as the worst and the fifth grade as the best." the elder said

"Now you can follow Mina to your first class the rest of the knowledge about what importance the data in the Crystal ball represents will be told over there, you can also keep your own crystal ball now go!" after saying this the elderly old man sat down on his chair again.

After following Mina, we found ourselves in a huge Hall where the chairs were allocated to us to sit on. It looked more like a temporary area which they had set up in a rush.

After we had all settled down Mina left the hall while an elderly looking woman had entered. Without even giving us the chance to stand up and greet her she started to explain to us in a rush showing that she didn't really want to do this job.

" Okay, so you all have taken the test, so I will start the explanation with the aptitude first.

The sages have divided the aptitudes into five grades grade 1 being the lowest and grade 5 being the highest every normal human has grade one Talent.

It is not unexpected if some of you have this but higher the grade the better the chances there are for you to become a Sage.

For grade 1 Talent the chances for becoming a sage rural is 10% as for great two it is 20%, grade 3 is 40%.

For grade 4 it is 70% and for grade 5 it's 90% so you can see why the grades have been emphasized before, as this will help us to decide which students should be given more priority.

But sometimes unexpected encounters can also help you to surpass this limitation, but it happens quite rarely, but you should still try and work hard even if your grade is not high enough.

After Grade comes your Elemental Talent, the elemental talent helps you to decide on which basis or on which direction you should go. Let me remind you elements are the future of Sages.

Let me give you an example if you have a talent with light element. When you try to make a small light bolt attack, which can blind your opponent, because of your Elemental affinity the attack becomes stronger while if you try an attack from darkness element which opposes your affinity it might not even produce 1% of its might.

Only by following the path, you have the highest affinity with, can you progress the furthest.

As your Mastery of the elements go higher so will the control over the spells, lastly your innate Talent.

Not everybody has innate talent, only people with aptitude in the 4 or 5 grade have them, this talent is inside your soul hidden and only awakens when you enter the Apprentice stage, this can further be evolved by different methods but this can only be found by your own research so I can't help you in this. As for magic power, it's limit is your spirit but as you have not started meditation you have not gathered any magic power so it should be low.

This is all that has to be taught to you, to understand what your test results were about. Now you will come one by one as I call your name and I will look at your talent and explain to you in a more thorough manner for the last time.

After that you go behind me into the next room. Where the Elder will help you be assigned to a mentor. Now the first person to come up is Wade." the elder said.
