Chapter 186

Kamarius tried to push at the invisible wall that prevented him from running further away from me. He tried to jump up hoping that the barrier was only as high as he could reach.

Too bad it wasn't.

"It's no use running away from me, you know." I said with a calm smile as I stood behind him.

Kamarius turned to face me with his back to the barrier.

"Every barrier has a weakness." He stated as he kept his hands on the barrier.

"It was true that every barrier jas a weakness." I nodded. "But even this barrier's weakness is too much for you to handle."

Kamarius roared at me. Well, sort of roared since he isn't an animal. But the sound that came from him was that of a lion or a big cat's roar.

He lifted his left arm and sent me lightning strikes. I did not even bother to block them and just let them hit me directly.

The lightning struck me and my entire body was crackling with electricity.

"You see, lightning does not really hurt me." I told him.

"What?!" He asked in shock. "That's impossible! If you really cannot be hurt by lightning, you wouldn't have dodged my attacks earlier!"

I slowly lifted the water barrier that was surrounding my body. It became obvious that the lightning was only moving around the water barrier. I then directed the water to the ground with the electricity.

"Water is a good protection from lightning. Depends on how you use it." I shrugged at him.

"Kill her!" Kamarius shouted but was met with silence. He looked around and saw his undead, well, dead. His eyes went wide as he started scrambling on the barrier, looking for a way out.

"It's useless." I stepped nearer with a calm smile.

It unnerved him.

"Seb's barriers are strong and almost unbreakable. Only a few strong ones could actually break it." I told him as I stepped even closer.

"Stop right there! Don't come closer." Kamarius shot a water ball but I easily flung it back by taking control of it.

"Everything would be easier if you just give me the names of your employers, you know?" I tried to talk to him. "Why are you even working for them when you can create your own army?"

Kamarius clutched his right shoulder and created a wall from the ground in between us.

"Ahh.. They must be the ones supplying you with bodies, right?" I smiled coldly at him after slicing the wall into bits. "I never thought Marquis McClare would actually go so low just to fight us."

At the mention of the Marquis' name, the necromancer's eyes went wide with surprise.

Got you.

"A marquis going against an archduke with daughters as vessels, stupid isn't he?" I jeered, trying to get a verbal confirmation.

"Hahaha!" Kamarius laughed before pointing a pale finger at me. "You have no idea of who you are dealing with, vessel. I am merely a dog right now, but you still cannot kill me."

I raised a brow at him.

"Oh?"

Kamarius laughed evily again.

"Unless you do not want to see your bastard of a butler, you cannot kill me." He laughed harder. "I am the only one who knows his location right now, and without my portal, he can never come back! Hahahahaha!"

I shook my head and smiled at him pitifully.

"No matter where he is, Sebastiene will always return to me." I told him confidently.

Just as I spoke out those words, a portal opened by my side, taking Kamarius by surprise.

Sebastiene came out of the portal, buttoning his uniform sleeve as if he took it off before coming here. He then bowed to me.

"I have returned, my lady." Sebastiene greeted before giving Kamarius a side glance. "Still alive huh?"

"Impossible! How did you? How could you?" Kamarius did not know what to ask first seeing Sebastiene return without a scratch.

"Hmmm?" Sebastiene turned to him. "You got quite the collection in your laboratory, necromancer."

"Kamarius." I corrected and pointed at the necromancer. "His name is Kamarius."

Sebastiene raised a brow at me.

"I only left for a few moment but my lady ended up knowing such a filthy bastard's name." Sebastiene's smile turned cold as he looked around at the corpses lying around the at Kamarius. "She even had to clean up the mess you brought here with you. Now, what should I do?"

Sebastiene cracked his knuckles as he smiled maliciously at Kamarius who slid down to the ground, shaking in fear.

"I suggest you give out the names or suffer." I told him as Sebastiene approached him, quite excitedly.

"Are you going to spare my life if I talk?"He asked, looking hopeful.

"No." I answered flatly.

Sebastiene snickered.

"But I will give you a quick death as my thanks." I added.

"A quick death is still death!" He shouted as he slowly stood up.

"Your still dead anyway." Sebastiene shrugged, though it did not look like he wanted to kill him quickly.

"It's no use fighting." I shook my head. "You will never defeat me."

The necromancer lifted his head and looked at me.

"I do not need to defeat you." He said lowly. "I could just bring you down with me!"
