Chapter 132

I looked at her and immediately pieced everything together.

"That is the reason why you are here, serving under Karciel." I concluded.

Milia nodded.

"I was tracking down the missing elves and ended up in Karciel's hand." She hung her head again. "Only he knows where my kin are."

"And now he's dead." I closed my eyes and massaged my temples.

"So the only clue you have of your kin's whereabouts is dead, and now you have no idea what to do." Athy spoke. "Your men messed up big time."

I rolled my eyes at her before looking at Milia.

"How about working for us while looking for your kins? We are looking into Karciel's connections and you might find them there or at least some clues about them." I proposed.

"So you want me to serve you?" Milia said forwardly.

"In a way, yes." I nodded. "But I will not be sending you to anything that has no connections to your kin. But in exchange, please give us information we need about the person or organizations in question." I laid my deal with her.

"How would I-..!!" Milia's question was cut off when our carriage suddenly came to a halt.

I immediately held on to Athy so she would not be thrown forward and Milia held on to Miss Bloom.

"What the-" Athy almost cussed.

I opened the curtain on my side to see what was happening and Athy did the same. Loki was already beside Athy's window when she opened the door and he was looking towards the front with an unbothered face.

"What happened?" Athy asked her butler. "Why the sudden stop?"

"It appears that we have an unexpected guests." Loki replied with a smile, still looking forward.

"Why do we keep getting unexpected guests?" I asked with a frown.

"My lady, may I?" Loki asked Athy with puppy eyes.

"Go." Athy said nonchalantly and closed her window again, leaned back on the seat and closed her eyes. "I'm going to take a nap, wake me up when it's over."

"Okay, I'm-"

Bang!

A loud crash was heard outside the carriage. I opened the window to see a number or people all clad in black with masks surrounding us.

"Get off the carriage now!" One of the masked men barked.

I closed the curtain and looked at Milia. "You should go and check on the people you rescued from the dungeon. They are on the carriages behind us."

"What about you, lady Castellan?" She asked.

"I can take care of us here." I replied with a cold smile.

Milia stared at me for a moment before nodding. I opened the carriage door and saw that the knights were busy fighting men in black everywhere. I frowned when at the black clothed men.

"Are you Melody Castellan?" The man in front of me asked. He was burly and holding a wide sword.

"I am." I answered nonchalantly.

"Where are the papers inside Karciel's office?" He asked as intimidating as can be.

"Inside the carriage with my sister and Miss Bloom." I answered wand pointed my thumb towards the black carriage behind me.

The man motioned to the other black clad men with his head. The other men nodded and took a step forward.

"But you will die if you try to approach it." I added innocently.

The men paused in their tracks and chuckled before continuing to approach me.

The men came close to me and was about to pass while laughing. I smirked and whipped my hand. The man behind them who was barking orders earlier saw something flew towards him and he used his hand to catch it.

It was the head of the first man who tried to pass me.

His body was still standing a few steps beside me while blood sprayed like a fountain from his neck.

The man behind him was too stunned to move, his eyes wide open as he turned to look at me.

"I warned you." I shrugged before sending his head on the sky where is last sight is the orange sky and setting sun.

The other men who saw what happened to the first ones quickly leaped back. The sight of their comrades' beheaded bodies sent them into alert. But the sight of a ten year old girl holding a luminescent white sword trickled with blood sent shivers down their spines.

"Boss." One of the men trembled as he looked at the head in their boss's hand with still opened eyes.

The boss threw the head in his hand to the ground making the others flinch at the sight.

"You are not some normal little are you, Lady Castellan?" The one they called boss stared straight at me.

I smiled and shrugged. "You wouldn't believe me even if I tell you, so why don't I just show you?"

I did not wait for his answer and rushed in to attack..
