Chapter 116

As Sebastiene walked further into the dimly lit hall way, he suddenly felt a strong surge of power. It was not coming from only a single person but a number of people.

The pills!

Could they have consumed the pills just now?

"Sebastiene!" Haktor called him from behind. "Did you feel that just now?"

Sebastiene nodded and they walked faster. They were not expecting this hallway to be this long.

When they arrived at the red door, they could feel strong force from within the room. Strong but unbalanced. Unbalanced would only mean one thing..

Uncontrollable!

Sebastiene pushed the door open and what he saw inside made him stop in his tracks.

Strong power was felt everywhere, like the sea having currents flowing everywhere. The people inside turned to face him with villainous grins. Feeling their power increase tremendously, the people who took the pills felt like they were invisible.

Karciel was sitting in the far side of the room, sipping wine with a woman on his lap. The underground room was big and wide. It was almost the same size as the Castellan's training grounds. More than five hundred people could easily fit inside.

"General, are you still willing to fight with them?" Sebastiene asked Haktor without turning his head to look at him.

"Of course!" Haktor nodded, glowing with an excited smile.

"Then, shall we start our bet here?" Sebastiene asked, face filled with wicked excitement.

"The most men to defeat shall win." Haktor replied and held his weapon tightly.

"And the loser will treat the drinks." Sebastiene finished.

The guards started moving, turning towards them, cracking their knuckles or other parts of their bodies.

"Bet starts now!" Sebastiene roared and dashed towards the enemies.

"Knights!" Haktor blared. "Attack! Kill anyone who tries to kill you. Do not let anyone out of this room."

After saying his piece, Haktor also dashed forward, swinging his weapon.

The entire room was filled with sounds of metal hitting each other. Fireballs started flying everywhere and the room was flooded with water. A strong breeze would be felt from time to time as the knights fought with Karciel's guards.

Sebastiene started darting everywhere, attacking the weaker ones first and blocking the stronger one's attacks. On the other hand, Haktor was swinging his heavy weapon everywhere!

The only similarity with the two were they both have spine-chilling grins on their faces.

"Seven." Sebastiene suddenly spoke as he passed by Haktor after killing someone behind him.

"Five!" Haktor responded with an eerie smile and released two consecutive wind blades that killed three blank looking enemies. "Eight."

While Sebastiene and Haktor continued to throw numbers at each other, the Knights with them fought as two groups. One group was fighting inside the room with Haktor and Sebastiene while the other group was at the door stopping anyone from getting out.

The first group was made of three classes. The first one was that attack class, which was fighting up front. The second was the support class who were helping the attack class. The third was the defense class who were in charge of protecting the first two classes. With their coordination, they were able to defeat the stronger enemies one by one.

The ones protecting the door were defense type ability users. Blocking, creating shields and generally stop anyone from getting out of the room. One of the knights protecting the door got his shield broken and ended up getting hit by a fireball that burnt his left shoulder before another knight created a shield to protect him. But the knight that was burned didn't even scream in pain and rebuilt his shield while a first aid responder bandaged him up.

The enemy that attacked him was jointly attacked by two attack class and was still able to fight with them head on. The ones protecting the door also helped with the fight and thus ultimately killing the enemy with a pear through his head.

Karciel watched the chaos around him with unbothered eyes while stroking the woman on his lap.

"Joy, who do you think will win against them?" He asked the woman who was watching the fight with boredom.

"Unless they kill those two," She pointed at Sebastiene and Haktor. "I doubt they will win."

Karciel glanced at Sebastiene and Haktor with narrowed eyes.

"You're right." He hugged her waist. "Those two are somewhat annoying."

"But those two won't be able to defeat you, love." The woman snaked her arms around Karciel's neck. "How could anyone who is taking a long time to defeat your guards, ever be able to defeat you?"

Karciel looked pleased at what the woman said that he gave her a deep kiss as he slid his hand inside her skirt.

The woman shuddered and started arching her body. Her enticing moans mixed with the fighting sounds. Karciel and her woman enjoyed themselves unconcerned with the fighting in front of them.

Their indifference towards their men's lives baffled the Knights of Noktis.

Is this how other masters treat their forces? They are indeed lucky to be working for a master that prioritize the lives of their people over others.
