Chapter 111

The flirting continued between Klent and the escort, Aira, while Sebastiene stayed on the side looking unbothered. Klent capriciously asked her things about the auction, acting like a gullible young master. All the while, Aira kept answering his questions without doubt, thinking that she hit jackpot with a rich young master that fancies her. Who knows, he might even buy her out of this hellhole and make her a true lady of the house?

"My dear," Aira seductively ran her finger down Klent's arm. "If you want, I could help you check the goods that you are interested in. Do you have anything specific that you want to buy from this auction?"

Klent glanced at the woman beside him who was touching him suggestively.

"I don't really have anything specific in mind." He answered uncaringly before leaning in and whispering to her ear. "But, I would bid if I find something worthy enough of your beauty."

Aira giggled and flirtatiously slapped Klent's arm.

"Young master is making jokes again." She whined playfully. "This lowly one is just a mere escort, how could I alter your decisions?"

Even if she was saying such humble words, she knew deep down what the handsome man beside her actually mean.

"This young master with buy you something shiny as a gift for escorting me." Klent replied and patted the woman on the head.

"Really?" The woman gasped giving him her most submissive look.

"This young master does not lie." Klent smiled at her softly. "Do you have something you like among the items today?"

"I hope to receive whatever makes you think of me." She smiled.

The lights downstairs turned off and only the stage was lit. A short, plump man with very high nose and balding head came up. He was wearing a red coat and black half mask that only shows his mouth to his chin. He was also holding a black cane with a crystal on top.

The auction master.

He bowed with his arms out, like a performer. He was smiling widely as he looked at the number of audience below.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I am One, your auctioneer for tonight." He introduced himself. "Tonight, we have items from all over the continent and across the wide seas. Are you ready to start this great auction?"

The entire hall was filled with holler and screams, making it as lively as ever.

"Start it up!" Some man shouted from below.

"I hope there are pretty girls in there!" Another hollered.

"Strong handsome men or beautiful jewels!" A woman's seductive voice came from the crowd causing other women to start screaming.

The auctioneer listened to the noise from the excited crowd and his smile widened. He raised his hand and motioned for the crowd to settle down.

"Now, with all the distinguished guest present here tonight, we will start the auction!" Cheers erupted but softer than before as the guests settled down. "Now, to bid, one must touch the crystal ball on your chair, that ball will light up and you would be called to state your bid. You may try touching it to check if it does light up."

The gusts started touching their balls and balls of light started to light up one after the other.

The auctioneer then looked up and smiled. "For those on the private rooms, your chairs also have the crystal ball and you may state your bid on the ball. The ball will change your voice to protect your privacy.

Klent motioned to Sebastiene and the latter touched the crystal ball with his gloved hand. The crystal ball indeed glowed and Sebastiene nodded to Klent.

"Now that everyone has tried it, shall we start this auction with our first item?" The auctioneer asked and signaled with his hand.

A woman clad in a skimpy clothes that almost looked like it would fall off her anytime walked on the stage carrying a tray with cover. She stood in the middle of the stage and smiled as she uncovered the tray.

"Our first item is a ring with a black diamond which was worn by the first demon king and was later given to his lover who was the queen of the succubus clan at that time. This diamond is a sign of true love that goes against all odds. Unfortunately, the queen chose to stay in her clan and her king. This type of diamond can only be seen in the demon king's palace and nowhere else in the continent." The auctioneer explained making the women gush over it. "The starting price is ten thousand gold!"

The people below gushed to bid for the ring. Not only was it an antique but it came from the first demon king. Who knows if he hid some strong powers in the ring that he gave his love?

On the second floor, Aira was looking at the ring with greed. She wanted it, but the man beside her merely chuckled at the priceless treasure that was being auctioned.

"Do you like that ring Aira?" Klent asked the woman who was stroking his arm tenderly.

"I would prefer for you to choose for me Klent dear. Do you think it suits me?" She did not want to appear pushy so she did not show much interest in it so as to please this young master.

"Hmmm.. I want something that would complement your eyes." Klent smiled and shook his head. "Something black does not suit your beauty."

The escort's smiled lovingly but she was sneering at him in her heart. How could this ignorant man not know how priceless that ring was? So stupid!

On the side, Sebastiene narrowed his eyes when he saw the ring he once owned, up on stage. But he almost couldn't stop himself from laughing out loud from the explanation given by the auctioneer.
