Chapter 105

I woke up late the next morning and had breakfast in bed while Sebastiene read the reports he gained about the two visitors I had last night.

Everything they said was actually the truth, though Sebastiene is still looking into the other person that knew their identity, everything about Eric Fedatti was reported. From his legal basic goods business to his illegal slave auctions were read to me. Hearing how he took captives that Karciel brought to him from the outskirts and turned them into slaves, my anger rose. He didn't care about the race or the age of the captives as long as he could sell them. If they do not sell, he would sell the women into prostitution, and the men into laborers.

The information Sebastiene brought opened my eyes to how weak the protection is to the villagers on the outskirts. I may not care much about other people but Westreon people are Castellan people, and they deserve to be protected by us. I am not going to sit around and wait till all our people lose their trust in us.

"Miss Bloom is already on her way here, my lady." Sebastiene informed me as he cleared the bed table I used. "She is using the Tabby Tea House wagon that delivers the wine you ordered."

"Okay." I sat on the edge of the bed and Sebastiene helped me put on my fluffy slippers. "I'll stay in the sitting room so you can take her there when she arrives."

"Yes, my lady." Sebastiene bowed down and went out to return the breakfast tray to the kitchen.

I took the time to take a bath and change. When Sebastiene returned, he took over brushing my hair for me and styling it into a high bun.

It still amazes me how he could fix my hair better than me.

After tidying up, I opened a portal to the sitting room. I am quite confident with moving around using a portal and the time that I use to travel is now lesser. But it was still not as good as Sebastiene's.

"What do you think about Astrid, Seb?" I asked Sebastiene who was pouring me some tea.

He was startled by my question but easily hid his surprise with a smile.

"Are you worried about her, my lady?" He asked with a knowing smile.

I frowned a little and sighed.

"I am actually worried that she would leave us and move on with her sisters after we free them." I said uneasily. "She has not been with us for long, but she has been with us the longest among all the employees."

"I doubt Miss Astrid would leave." Sebastiene tried to comfort me. "She did promise to serve you and even took the oath of Loyalty right?"

"I know." I bit my lip lightly. "But I get this feeling that she would leave us to be with her sisters."

"Why would you say that, my lady?"

"Because I would do the same if I ever meet my sisters again after a long time." I replied flatly.

"Humans have a saying that goes, 'Stop worrying about things that have yet to happen'.'" Sebastiene smiled at me. "You could convince her to stay when the time comes. But as long as she does not speak of anything such as quitting, there is absolutely no need to worry."

"Haaaa." I sighed. "I really hope she stays."

"If needed, you could negotiate with her. Maybe raise her salary or something." Sebastiene suggested.

"That's true." I smiled at him. "I'll wait for her next move then."

"Yes." Sebastiene smiled and politely handed me my tea. "Now, would you like to hear the content of the letter from His Majesty?"

I snorted at how Sebastiene said the words 'His Majesty' with such mockery. He didn't do anything special, but if I was the one he used the tom=ne with, I would probably have his smacked by Parsua.

"What was on the letter anyway?" I sipped my tea and crossed my leg in anticipation.

"It is an invitation, well it's actually more of a summon than an invitation, to the royal palace for a tea with his majesty." Sebastiene's face showed delight despite clearly understanding that the king aims to harm my father.

"A tea with the king, and a slow reacting poison? Hmmm." I narrowed my eyes and stared at the cup in my hands.

I wondered if the king is really a rainbow.

"My lady, please know that the king is not into men." Sebastiene spoke, his eyes clearly filled with amusement. He must have known what I was thinking.

"If he is, why did he put a slow reacting Aphrodisiac in father's letter?" I focused my eyes at him.

"With how many ladies are at the king's harem, how hard would it be to find someone to play victim to a sexual harassment?" Sebastiene's face was all smiles but his tone was insinuating something.

I smiled scornfully.

"So the king is planning a honey-trap for my father, huh?" I coldly snorted. "I wonder if he had ever seen my mother."

Does the king thinks that the Archduchess Castellan is a face anyone in his harem could compete with? Let's see how much face his queen and concubines could show in front of the one entitled as the most beautiful lady in the kingdom.

"Seb, send a reply to the king. The archduke has accepted his invitation." I derisively said.

"Of course, my lady." Sebastiene smiled playfully.

"Also, inform my sisters that we will be going to the capital soon." I smiled suggestively and sipped my tea.

The royal capital huh? It would be fun to create havoc in such a big place, would it not?
