The Beginning

The city was in chaos as the war continue, the lifeless bodies of the civilians and soldiers scattered in the street, the buildings have fallen due to the aerial attack from another nation, the civilians who were caught by the war was panicky leave the city but not everyone escapes alive, the little girl who sits beside her dead parents and little brother didn't budge even if the surrounding is loud and everything around her collapse, she just blankly looks at her parents but she felt someone was standing beside her and when she look up she saw a man in a soldier uniform.

" Kid, you should leave here, will you come with me?. "

 The little kid who is naive reach for the man hand and the man take her to their base, it took some times and they finally arrive at the military base, she saw a lot of soldiers and they go inside the base, she saw a room and it was filled with children just like her.

" go in there for a while and then we will move to the main base. "

The little girl nodded and enter the room she sees that a lot of children was trembling, she just sits in the corner and hugs her knees,  slowly the sleepiness gets her.

" Hey, kid wake up."

The little girl wakes up and looks around and there's a lot of soldiers who was giving instructions to the kids as they get out of the room, she gets up and looks up at the man who took her in earlier.

" We will move now, line up with the others. "

She nodded and quickly line up, as they get out of the room it was already dark and the cold breeze penetrate her skin and made her shiver, they hop into military vehicles and start to moves, inside the vehicles the silence prevailed until they get into the main base. 

" All of you get down. "

As the commander speaks all the children get down and line up, the commander sign the children's to get in and as they pass through the door, there was a woman soldier who was giving a white shirt and pants to each of them and they keep on walking following the commander until they reach the end of the hallway.

" All of you get into the room and change your clothes. " 

The children nodded and enter the room, it was a white room and everyone changes their clothes, as they finished changing the center wall open up and the screen appeared the children focus on it as they saw a man in there.

" Ehem, hello, Children we're you thinking why are you here? and why did the military took you? It's simple we were tasked to create a human war weapon and our organization is called Z. So now I know all you were already starving so your first task for today is to kill one person if you didn't kill anyone within five minutes you will still die, used these weapons and if you complete this task you will get to eat, good luck children. "

the screen switch to the timer and it was set to five minutes, the sidewall open up and there's a lot of daggers in there, the time starts to count down and the children don't know what to do and they were already trembling in fears, but the little girl walk closer to the daggers and took a dagger with a black blade and black handle, she looks back at children who was trembling and looks back at the dagger, she then remembers what her dad and mom used to say.

" Byeol our precious daughter remember this, you should always do everything to survive, even if you need to use everyone around you, you should never let anyone harm you, this world is dangerous. soft-hearted people don't have a place in this kind of world, because in this world you only had two choices. The little girl look at the timer and they only had two minutes left until the time runs out, she looks back to the children and quickly ran towards the little boy who was near her and stabs him in the heart, blood dripped out and the little girl was quickly soaked by the little boy's blood, all the children look at her in fear as they ran away from her. She wipes her face before taking her dagger out and the lifeless body of the little boy drop to the floor and the white floor was stained by blood.

As the time runs out the room that is used to be white is now already tainted with blood and only five out of ten children were left alive, the screen switch again and the man who spoke earlier was smiling

the screen turns off and the door opened the commander who escorted them earlier entered.

" Okay line up, you all will take a shower first before eating. "

The children just nod and everyone lined up before going out of the bloody room, as they make their way to their room the soldier who sees them looks at them with pity gazes, while the other looks at them like they are some sort of a monster. When they get in their own rooms everyone was given white clothes again and the children start to clean their selves.

The cafeteria was filled with children's sound as they eat, the little girl still eats with manners even though she was starving, everyone was eating peacefully but as soon as they finish eating the commander came in.

" All of you get to the white room again. "

The children nodded and all of them starts to walk towards the white room and when they entered they see five beds with a lot of straps attached, and every bed had two soldiers standby beside the bed.

" Everyone gets into the bed. "

The naive children nodded and as everyone gets into the bed, the soldiers start to put in all the straps to their little bodies, The door opens up and the man on the screen earlier entered and look at them with a smile on his face.

" Did you all eat a lot?. "

' Yes... '

" Great now let's get started. "

People in white coats entered and they are holding a syringe, All of them stand beside each of the children and the man smiles at the children once more before signaling the doctors to inject the drugs into the children, and as soon as they injected it the room filled with the scream of the children.
