Forbidden Friendship and Understanding A Dragon

When I woke up the next morning, Werewolf wasn't even there. So, carefully went out of the cave and went down to where the pond was. I sat on a rock that was nearby the edge of the pond and I looked around the dragons' cove. Soon enough I spotted Werewolf hanging upside down in the same tree that he was sleeping on just like last night.

"I wonder what's his problem is Z?" I said, while Z was trying to find a comfortable spot to sleep on.

I grabbed a nearby stick and started to draw something on the ground, trying to get my mind off of somethings. Drawing was one of my favorite past times and it helps me relax a little. Soon I heard a gruff sound and I just continued to draw. Then I heard some dragon moans coming from right behind me and I knew it was Werewolf.

"You know standing behind me is making me feel uncomfortable," I said before hearing a loud cracking sound.

I quickly looked up and saw Werewolf in his dragon formed drawing on the ground with a branch in his mouth. He looked at me once before continuing to draw on the ground. I was very impress by what he was doing with that branch in his mouth. I never thought this before... maybe Werewolf was worried about me and he was trying to make sure I was alright. Another thing was that he's trying to draw which I think it's cute of him to do that.

Once he was done, I stared at the lines on the ground in complete confusion. When I tried to walk over to him, he growled at me and I quickly stepped back. Then he let out a dragon moan which confused me right there.

'Was it the lines that he doesn't want me to step on,' I thought to myself.

So, I tested the idea again and again he did the same thing that he did before. When I stepped over the first line I knew what I had to do. I felt what he felt every time I stepped on a new line, while I wasn't looking he grabbed the branch again and drew more lines. So, I went and jumped in some of the spaces between the line trying to get through this. When I final stopped to were the lines stopped, Werewolf was standing right behind me, looking at me.

I put my hand up, gesturing, not looking at him and said, "Werewolf... I don't know why you did that for, but it..."

I stopped talking when I felt something scaly and warm on the back of my hand, which made me turn around. Part of Werewolf's nose was touching my hand and I could feel the warm air he breath out against my hand. I felt how he felt somehow just by touching him. He felt hurt, in pain, scared and he felt cold even though he was warm. He slowly transformed back into his human dragon formed, then he placed his clawed hand on top of my hand. My heart skipped a couple beats then he started to lead me up the side of the cliff to where the entrance of the elder council was. Werewolf slowly lead me inside, but why did Werewolf bring me to the cove in the first place? It was a question that I will soon get that answer for.
