1 Prologue

I'm in the middle of traffic right now. I looked out the car window, and saw the long traffic ahead of me.

I gasped while holding the steering wheel. "I'm going to be late," I said while looking at my watch. I gasped and almost jumped from my seat when my cellphone rang.

"Damn! I think I'm going to have a heart attack by chance," she murmured.

"Ms. Sophia, where are you? You're going to miss the shoot if you can't make it and miss this opportunity, huh?" I heard from my personal assistant on the other line. I looked up front but the cars were still in line and the traffic was not moving.

"It's so traffic, Angie. I think I couldn't make it on time," I said to her.

"What? You shouldn't miss this opportunity. Remember, this is your dream. To meet with Ms. Daniela, right?" I always remember how crazy I was with Ms. Daniela.

Ms. Daniela Romero is my inspiration why I entered modeling. She was the person who motivated me those times that I was losing hope and confidence in myself. She was the first person who gave me the motive to continue and to become more, and to escape from being just ordinary. She made me become extra-ordinary.

I closed my eyes for a moment and opened my eyes, "Fine. I'll be running then. I'll call you when I get there, okay?"

"Are you sure? Are you going to run here?"

"Yes. I would do anything to see Ms. Daniela," I said, smiling as I dropped the call.

I got out of my car and immediately started walking. I am wearing four-inch heels and how will I run if I am wearing them? I had no other choice, but to start running. I don't want to miss this opportunity to see and meet Ms. Daniela. I've been waiting for this moment, and that moment has finally come true right now.

I gasped as I arrived outside of the building. I took my phone out and called Angie.

"I-I'm h-here," I said breathlessly into the phone.

"Alright. Wait for me there. I'm coming."

A few minutes later, Angie arrived on the scene and frowned when she saw me. I walked closer to her.

"Wait ..."

"What?"

"Did you really run to this place?"

I rolled my eyes and handed her my purse. "Come on. Fix me," I said, and we went inside the building.

Angie was doing my make-up in the dressing room while I was thinking about my past. I suddenly opened my eyes and accidentally hit it with the brush Angie was holding.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Ms. Sophia. Why did you suddenly open your eyes?" I just kept quiet while Angie was busy fixing me.

"Done," it said and immediately when I opened my eyes and saw myself in the mirror in front of me. I smile, but as I smile, my past returns.

"Are you okay, Ms. Sophia?"

"Huh?"

"You seemed bothered. Did something happen?"

"Nothing. Let's go."

When I went out of my dressing room, I bumped into Athena, the woman who thought she could compare me to a low-class person like her. I smirked when I saw her. I looked at her from her head to her toe. "Still cheap," I said in a low tone enough for her to hear me.

"Hey! How could you say something like that to me? Don't you have dignity, Sophia? Or you can't just accept the fact that I am prettier than you?" I laughed and so did Angie.

"Did I say something funny?" she asked me.

"No, but... Looking at your face makes me laugh. Oh, I'm sorry," I said to her, teasingly. I was about to walk when she spoke again.

"Sophia..."

"Yes?"

"I will meet with Ms. Daniela too. Wanna come?"

"No need. I'm meeting with her right now."

"W-What?"

I turned my back on her, leaving her clueless and standing there like a fool. I shook my head with a broad smile when I started to walk away from Athena. "Where is Ms. Daniela?" I asked Angie, and she looked around.

"I don't know. I didn't see her around," she replied.

I looked around, but Angie elbowed me lightly and pointed at a corner. "There." A broad smile formed on my lips when I saw Ms. Daniela, sitting in the corner.

"Ms. Daniela?"

"Yes?" she looked at me with a smile. I feel like I'm dying to see her wonderful and beautiful face.

"I am Sophia Blair Lacoste." I introduced myself and she then stood and reached out for my hands. "Nice to meet you, Ms. Sophia."

"So, I heard you are joining some charity?" she asked me.

"Yes."

"That's great. I know someone," she said.

"Pardon?"

"I know someone that is doing the same thing."

"Oh, I see."

"Sophia, right?"

"Yes."

"Thank you admiring me, but... I won't be doing any modeling again. I decided to stop," she said to me, and that saddened me.

"W-What? W-Why?"

She smiled at me, but I couldn't smile back. I was too stunned to speak, "You see... I am getting old and I don't want to embarrass models like you. Young, pretty, and sexy."

"But..."

"Sophia, do what you really love, right? Enjoy your life and be happy with those people who are with you when you are at your toughest times."

"Ms. Daniela..."

"Sophia, thank you for being my fan. You can be more. Do more, and believe in yourself."

"Can we take a picture, at least?"

"Sure."

After taking some photos, Ms. Daniela then stood and started walking away from me. I looked at her and watched her leave me. My shoulders lowered and looked at Angie. "What is her reason? Do you think of anything?" she shook her head.

"Shall we go?"

"I don't think I can be a model knowing that she can't do modeling anymore," I said to her.

"Hey! Are you crazy? You made a lot of effort to reach where you are right now. You can still do it, Ms. Sophia. I am here. I believe in your ability." she said, which made me smile, "Don't you forget? You're very famous, both local and international."

I chuckled, "Thank you reminding me."

"You're welcome. Let's go?"

"Okay."

When I arrived home, I looked around and seemed to be deafened by the silence surrounding the house. I went to the sofa, tossed myself and let my eyes close for a while. "Why couldn't she do modeling again?" I kept repeating the same question. I opened my eyes and looked at the photo hung in my living room. I was looking at myself. All my achievements as a model are also pinned to the wall. I have received a lot of awards because of my popularity and my beauty.

"You're so beautiful, Sophia."

The following morning, I heard my alarm ringing. I tried to reach it to turn it off, but I failed. My eyes were half-opened and I reached it and turned it off. I was about to go back to sleep, but I heard the door open. I covered my face with my pillows as I knew that it was Angie.

"Wake up, sleepyhead!" Angie shouted and opened the long curtains in my room to let in the dazzling sunlight. She's always like this when waking me up. She doesn't want me to be late whenever I have shoots for commercials or meetings with other business entrepreneurs who want to hire me for business transactions.

"It's still early, Angie," I said to her, and covered my face with my blanket, but she took it off, causing me to meet with the dazzling sunlight. "God! What are you doing?"

"Ms. Sophia? Did you forget about what day today is?"

"What is it?"

She gasped, "What? Did you really forget about it?" I nodded my head, and she gritted her teeth while staring at me.

"You..."

"I'm sorry. What is it?"

"You're going for an interview today."

"Interview? When?"

"Today."

"Really?"

"Yes."

I never remembered that I had an interview today, but maybe I did forget about it because of my busy schedules every time. After dressing up, Angie drives towards the shooting area. I frowned when I looked outside the building.

"Are you sure about this, Angie?"

"Yes, come on."

As I walked inside, there were a lot of reporters who greeted me. The camera flashed on me, and I couldn't even see clearly because of the flashes. I keep smiling while looking at them, to keep and maintain a good image in the media.

"Good morning, Ms. Sophia!" a man greeted me with a smile. I narrowed my eyes when I looked back at Angie. She smiled at me.

"You're going to do the interview, right?" the man asked me. I never agreed to do this, but I had to. I had a lot of fans, and I didn't want to disappoint them.

"Yes."

"Great. Let's start."

"Okay."

To be continued...
