Afterword

Hello everyone, my name is Saturnalia Blackrose. Thank you for reading Volume Six of Date Her Instead.

As always, I'll start with apologies. I try to keep things as consistent as possible, along with checking my own grammar and such, but I don't always catch everything, so sorry if any of you notice.

Now, I'd like to talk about the volume, so this is your WARNING FOR SPOILERS.

This volume had A LOT to unpack. From Haruna's parents, to Mayu's mom to Michi's relationship with Chiyo, there were things happening all over the place. And, for those of you wondering, this volume actually covers the least amount of time in the series, with it only covering about three weeks or so.

It kept feeling like I kept digging deeper into the story, only to then switch to another part and then have to climb back out. But, I'm satisfied overall with how this volume turned out. The goal of this volume was to cover something not usually covered in yuri/GL series (that being disapproval). I do enjoy yuri series where everything goes smoothly, but sometimes I can't help but feel like it's unrealistic for everybody to be okay with two girls dating. There's bound to be opposition, so I wanted to convey that, along with how such a relationship can affect others as well.

Now that all of that is taken care of, Haruna and Kanako will finally be able to continue on with their happy, fluffy relationship… right?

Erm… Maybe not. Sorry. Although, if you've read this far, you already know it's never that easy with this series. It seems a new girl is about to enter the fray, but that's all I'll say.

In other news, I've also begun a new project. It's nothing special, but the first volume is already shaping up to be quite long. I'll keep most of the details under wraps for now, but I will say that it's a yuri-monster girl series set in a fantasy world. So, when it finally makes its debut, I hope you give it as much support as you have this series.

Finally, my thanks. To the people who support me, thank you. Thanks to Baprima-07 for yet another stellar cover. And lastly, thank you to you, the readers. Without you, none of this would be possible. Enjoy the holidays.

Date Her Instead will return in early January.

Until then,

Saturnalia Blackrose
