Chapter 8: Why are you here? [4]

[A/N: Okay, I noticed in the last chap that many of you gave some insults and complaints (which I already saw coming anyways).

Anyways, this chap would only add more chaos... and dissatisfaction I think. Yep. Not 100% sure but the possibility still stands.

Also, I think this would be just an interaction chap with some characters so yeah... more like a interlude thingy...

Lastly, some explanations would be discussed in the AN on the last parts of the chap so be sure to read it.

Okay, here's the chap]

After the confrontation at the back of the school building between Shidou and Rei, time just passed quickly as break time ended and classes continued.

As a matter of fact, Shidou came back a few minutes late with a wry smile plastered on his face. Not that it mattered much though.

Rei on the other hand just sat idly as if the confrontation between the two didn't even happen in the first place.

The class just continued how it was supposed to be.

And along the way, a passing thought piqued Rei's attention.

'Muramasa-san wouldn't be angry about my continuous job skips if I tell him a convincing excuse... maybe'

Rei shivered at the thought. So far, that person who calls himself an old man (even though he doesn't look like old though) could be described as a strict and serious person within the time Rei had spent working on there.

Where he was working part time at was a cafe and bakery at the same time. For some reason, the owner of that place recently just started business over one and a half month ago and his shop was dubbed the most popular among all in Tenguu City already.

Weird but even Rei would believe why that is.

And for some strange luck, Rei managed to get a part-time job position there even though the shop could be considered full of workers already.

But to be honest, one of the main reasons Rei got in despite the number of workers within the cafe was because of him being a 'mascot' and a barista at the same time due to his looks and appropriate skills.

Well, Rei had no qualms about it since in his past life, he himself had partaken part time jobs which involves things like that.

'No use of thinking about it. I'll just come up with something convincing... Hope I don't get fired though...'

Rei tensed as he imagined if that really happened since so far, he quitted almost all the part time jobs he had which left his part time job there left.

And another reason for that is the free snacks and foods given to employees which if Rei were to give a food review, it would be 101/100.

Rei, even being a [Spirit] and a reincarnated person wouldn't erase the needs and desires of a human person namely Food, Sleep, and.... yep. The last one depends on your opinions.

Sitting in and time passed by. And finally the last class ended—was what Rei was thinking when at that moment until an incident happened.

It was then, when everyone began to move as classes ended, the door was opened—by someone.

That person however could be described as a patient or someone that recently came out from an hospital due to her outfit as well as the bandages and arm supporter placed on her injured arm.

Donning a white hospital gown, she directly walked towards someone as she ignored the stares pointed at her. And as for where she ended at—it was to Shidou to be exact.

"Shidou Itsuka. Come," With those few words, the girl began to take action.

"Eh?"

Suddenly.

Tobiichi Origami, the girl who was absent the other day and was deemed to be in hospital due to an accident, grabbed Shidou's hand as she dragged as he let out a confused voice.

"Ah, wa-wait..."

His chair toppled over with a crash, and he was dragged out of the classroom by Origami.

Behind him, Tonomachi's mouth was hanging open, and for some reason groups of girls were making a commotion going *kyaa, kyaa*.

While thinking that another rumor was going to start going around, Shidou followed Origami. Well, at least it's better than being treated as the 'best couple' together with Tonomachi, he comforted himself.

'I swear something like this happened a while ago!' Shidou added in his head as he disappeared in the classroom now filled with murmurs just like a while ago. His last gaze landed on the corner of the class which a certain individual was seated at.

And at that corner.

"Oh... so she survived huh..."

Rei muttered silently with surprise.

So in the end, he ended up not killing her back then. It wasn't like her situation mattered to him importantly anyways since he could now 'perfectly' retaliate at full power without holding back not like last time.

Thinking about back then, even though he managed to achieve the full form of his <Angel>, the fight was uselessly dragged on with him still adjusting on to it.

If he was to comment about the fight he gave, it would be described as 'lame' in some points.

But that is that and it's all on the past. He was confident that he could just obliterate them with one snap if he likes it.

'But that would be pretty boring if things just ended like that....' Rei thought to himself.

Rei, after a few seconds also got out from the classroom like the other student as well but was interrupted as soon he passed through an intersection on the corridor as he saw the person leaning on the wall that is.

He froze.

In his past life he wondered how lucky—or unlucky he is in this situation.

For the person before him, the chaos incarn— erm. What he meant was the girl that has shoulder-length orange red hair tied in a side-ponytail on the left side with a usually yellow hair band and a cowlick, and light orange eyes.

Upon seeing him, the girl's eyes somewhat lit up as she began walking to his direction.

"Fujimaru-san....." Rei muttered instinctively.

"Hm? Oh, what a coincidence! It's Ainsworth-san if I'm correct? Fancy meeting you here!" She, Fujimaru Gudako, greeted cheerfully.

'Coincidence? I have some doubts about that for some reason...'

Rei just smiled wryly, he needed to sort out some things after this day after all and he didn't want to deal with things that would further complicate his thoughts about what would happen later.

'So this world... is really not DAL completely... I already suspected that but still... for 'these' guys to end up here then my theories about those ring was—'

Rei then snapped out from his thoughts as he heard someone running quickly towards them.

"Wait Senpai..! I told you to wait for m— eh?"

"Oh, Mashu! Good timing!" She then hugged Mashu from behind as if she was a big huggable stuff toy as Gudako played with her cheeks.

'So fast!?' Rei couldn't help but be surprised.

Well, not really... Okay. Just a little bit.

"W-weyt! Releashe me Sh-shempai!"

"This is Mashu! My adorable junior. Well, she is just the same age as us but she prefers to call me Senpai. Cute isn't she?"

"Yeah... She is cute, not gonna lie"

And finally, Mashu broke out from Gudako's clutches—not that she hated it though...

As she caressed her slightly red cheeks due to the pinching, she bowed as she introduced herself to Rei.

"Um. It's Mashu Kyrielight. It's nice to meet you, Ainsworth-san"

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Kyrielight-san"

"Um, it's okay to call me just 'Mashu', please. Calling me with my family name is..."

"Attracting too much attention, right?"

"Yes!" Mashu responded happily upon hearing that.

"Then, just call me 'Rei' from now on. I think I know what you meant by that since your circumstances about those align with mines as well. You could also call me Rei, erm... Fujimaru-san"

"Then just call me by my given name as well, Gudako"

"Got it... Gudako-san," Rei said somewhat stiffly.

Gudako noticing that then asked, "Hmm? Why do you sound somewhat stiff? Is there something wrong?"

"No... there's nothing. Yes, nothing it is" And obviously, Rei lied. Of course he would.

Within his mind he really wanted to say this out loud, 'THERE IS! YOU ARE! Why the hell is the Master of Chaldea here!? And to bring such monster.... must mean that....'

Rei immediately brushed the thought.

He would probably jinx himself.... yes, probably.

Somehow, Rei could feel that a certain being laughing at him while making his life hectic for entertainment.

"Well, it seems that I've bothered you enough for today. Also, wanna hang out at a later date? My treat"

"Oh. If that is, then I would happily agree unless something out of place happens though..."

"Hmm? Out of place eh? What do you mean?"

"Who knows?" Rei shrugged jokingly.

Rei's vague answer made Gudako pout for a moment and soon broke out a smile upon it.

"Boooo... Pfft. Haha. Well, it's fun talking to you Rei-san. Let's meet again sometime"

"You know, we are in the same class so that is considered a given already"

"Oh right! Then see ya!"

"Yeah... see ya"

"Ah! Wait!"

Just when Rei turned his back and was about to walk for away, Gudako called him out, which Rei heard as he moved his attention towards her again.

And then she said, "Rei-san, are you perhaps a 'Servant'?"

"Servant?" Rei tilted his head quizzically wondering what Gudako meant by that.

Upon seeing his reaction, Gudako just gave a gentle smile and then said her farewells once more as she began to walk away from here.

"Oh. Okay then! Nevermind what I said, see ya next time," Gudako waved her hands as she goes away while looking back.

Mash who began to chase after her then bowed as she also said her farewells, "Um. Let's meet again, Rei-senpai"

With that she left following after Gudako.

'Senpai? Huh? What?'

"...."

After a few seconds after they left, Rei heaved a somewhat tired sigh.

What he said was true though. He wasn't a Servant or anything. That fact confirms that this world is already changing even without his existence here.

"The only thing that never changes in the world is 'change', huh"

But that doesn't explain 'this' abnormal changes. This world could be even called a crossover between two series... no, two isn't the limit so Rei began to prepare his mind for the incoming mental breakdown (not really but only just migraines or severe headaches).

His meeting with Chaldea's Master here was already bugging his mind about what the future of this world would be.

And if this is really a singularity or even a pseudo-singularity then...

It means that this world timeline is a 'sham'. In short, something that shouldn't have happened. In short, his very 'existence' here could be considered a 'sham' as well.

And for Rei, that wasn't acceptable.

Now that he had confirmed that he wasn't the only foreign factor in this world, he decided to plan revise his plans all over the place.

'If everything was the existence of this world timeline is a sham, then I just had to make it real. My existence isn't as petty to be treated only as a part of a false world after all'

And Rei exactly knew that this world has a [Spirit] with capabilities to make that happen. The only thing he needs to do is to make a stage which he could have and utilize that power to bend the singularity itself to 'nothingness'.

And as he was contemplating about this, it was then he heard a scream of a girl.

"Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa—!!"

[AN: Okay... I'll probably agree to some readers that this story's plotline is going weird. Not gonna lie about that since even I noticed how abnormal the plot of this story is progressing (LoL).

So before some of you spam some insults here and there which I encounter pretty much often in the latest chaps and I don't really have much say in it since most of them (only most of them since others were just saying idiot this, idiot that with no particular reason lol) were justified in some sense.

Anyways, what I meant by 'not full harem' is that the MC(Rei) would not have all the girls(Spirits) for himself but that doesn't mean he wouldn't have a harem (which many of you guyz I noticed in the comments say, 'why is this story have the tag of harem even though the MC won't have a harem in the first place' or something like that). Rei would have a harem. That's a fact.

Also, I noticed that many of you dislike (or rather, hate for others) having the story MC(Shidou) having a harem for himself. One reason for that is to cover the plotholes which would happen since I plan to make Rei diverge from the main story (which some of you have complaints to be honest...).

Other than that, I would further explain more of this on the next chaps since this would take too long...

But I really understand where you guys are coming from and about your dissatisfactions in the latest chaps. That would be dealt with on the future.

Lastly, the MC (Rei) isn't being dragged or influenced by 'fate' or by the Story MC (Shidou). That's it.

Though I noticed many of u saying this, I don't really intend on doing that but on another point, I can see that he is looking 'like' that on the previous chap. I apologize for that small mistake.

But I promise, it isn't really like that and I plan to show that on the later chaps.
