70 Chapter 8: Date II [2]

Not long later after their lunch, the three arrived at their next destination, Tenguu Gojuusou. Recently completed only last year, it was a hybrid commercial facility that was considered new. Various guesthouses and indoor playgrounds, cinemas and a large scale shopping centre were lined up beside it, just like a mini-sized shopping district. And because it was a new attraction, popularity was very high, one can usually observe a large number of people frequenting the area.

And right now...

"So Rei, how is it?" Tohka exclaimed as she adjusted the hem of her newly donned dress, "Does it suit me?"

Gesturing his hands to a sign of approval, he commented, "10 out of 10"

"Hehe, ah! I'm going to pick some for sis as well!" With this words, Tohka swiftly move away from the place.

Currently, they are shopping some clothes and such. To be honest, Tenka's new arrival in the house was the reason as for why they are doing this activity. Though she could just have Tohka's clothes since they technically mirror each of their body build and such, Rei still approved of the fact that they should go shopping for new clothes.

After all, wouldn't it be stupid not to give consideration and special treatment for Tenka right at this moment? Sure, Rei and her were technically enemies who tried to kill each other just before, but Rei could honestly say that he bore no ill will towards her.

Perhaps vigilance, albeit slightly.

Tenka...has some special circumstances that Rei didn't completely know off as of now, at the very least, he knows that something out of place was going on.

So at best, Rei could at least just give the girl some time to openly confess what was going on with her, and Rei knows that it would be still far for that to happen.

"Umu, now Tenka how about this! Or maybe this!" Tohka who came back was now holding several clothes on her hands.

On Tohka's right hand was a frilly pink dress, and on her left hand was an rabbit onesie.

Rei blankly stared at Tohka while suppressing the urge to chuckle at the choice of clothing that she picked up for Tenka.

And as expected...

"No and no, don't even think I would wear any of it"

...a rejection was soon heard.

"Eh~? But these clothes would look good on you!" Tohka pouted as she glanced over the clothes on her hands.

"I don't like it..." Replied Tenka as she averted her eyes from Tohka's who was looking at her with excitement.

"You would certainly look cute on it sis!" Tohka exclaimed. "And cute things gives off a warm and adorable aura! It would at least warm up the cold front that you often show to others hehehe"

"...Again, Tohka, my answer is no. And I definitely don't like cute and adorable things and the thought of me looking 'cute' was already bad joke that I wouldn't even laugh on," Tenka once again denied as her brows twitched in slight annoyance.

Surprising.

'To think that you would get easily annoyed just for thinking of wearing cute clothes...' Rei's thoughts then paused for a second as he then realized one small mistake. 'Oh, right. To be fair, Tenka is easily annoyed by almost anything around here except for Tohka...'

Rei then let out a dry laugh at the thought.

"Mumumu...." Tohka grumbled as she pouted.

Certainly, this shopping activity was meant to really pick out clothes for Tenka to wear, and there was no problem with that... yeah, except for one.

Yes. It was the fact that Tenka haven't bought anything but only one pair of clothes. Yes. Just ONE.

Her reason for that is that she can just generate those clothing with her Reiryoku. But the reason why they are buying clothes is to technically reduce the use of their Reiryoku in the first place! Besides, Rei had observed that Tenka's circumstances was related to her Reiryoku if his guess was correct.

Doesn't that make the fact of buying clothes for her makes more sense? But for all Rei knows, there is no way Tenka would admit such thing that could be described as a weakness so openly.

That's why Rei idly made a move and left the two who were still discussing as for why Tenka doesn't want to wear such cute clothing on her. It was entertaining really.

After a few more seconds, Rei had pick one set of clothes. To be honest, even he was doubting on his pick, but he still proceeded nonetheless and brought it up to them.

"Tenka, how about this?"

"Oh?" Tohka who then turned her head towards Rei's direction slowly widened her eyes in Rei's choices.

"...." Tenka silently stared at Rei's recommendation before slightly nodding. "...these will be fine"

It seems that she was satisfied.

What he just recommended was quite plain and simple. Just a pair of black shirts and jeans. Nothing special, but Rei seemed to think that Tenka would rather simple and plain things over something that would look 'cute' or make her 'cute'.

Well, he hit the mark.

"Why can't you accept Tohka's suggestions," he asked. "Well, it may not be too much coming from me, you would definitely look good in those just like as Tohka said"

"I don't like what I don't like," she replied blankly.

"Ah, so it's like people die when they are killed..." mumbled Rei as he suppressed a laugh coming out from his mouth.

"What are you talking about?" Tenka inquired as she vaguely heard what he said.

"Oh, it's nothing," he shrugged before continuing. "But I'm surprised, you still don't want to wear or take it despite Tohka was the one who chose it for you? Won't it make her sad?"

It was a underhanded statement.

Tenka then growled as she narrowed her gaze. "Are you trying to bring some sense of guilt to me? Or perhaps you are more curious what I would look like if I wear such clothing? Then it is a correct move that I decided to turn her offer down"

"It's neither," Rei replied honestly. Even though it might look like him being rude due to what he said back then, he really asked it in genuine concern and curiosity. "Sorry for that, Tenka," Rei then apologized.

Seeing that he was truthful to his words, Tenka just nodded ever so slightly before huffing. "...Hmph, apology accepted"

"Still...how stubborn could you be?" Rei muttered in a teasing manner to Tenka who was on his side.

"As stubborn as a tempered sharp blade," she rolled her eyes at his remark.

Rei gave her a blank stare before conveying, "I thought the correct term for that would be 'mule'..."

"Hah? As if I would compare myself to a weak kind of creature such as that," Tenka snorted in disdain. To compare her to such thing? How ridiculous. "Besides, I don't want to hear you complaining that I am stubborn for you are also acting pretty stubborn as well"

Her words now were sharp as it definitely hit Rei who just laughed wryly. In fact, she was correct and Rei couldn't deny that.

Rei soon held his hands up in surrender, "Okay okay, I give up then. You have a point at that"

"Oh! Umu umu... so you like this type of clothings sis?" Nodded Tohka as she intensely looked at Tenka like as if she was analyzing her eagerly.

"...Ah, yes," Tenka replied with slight delay as she looked at her 'younger' sister. "Simple and plain shall do"

"I thought you would prefer something rather different rather than 'cute' or 'plain'. Oh, wouldn't the definition of 'cool' and 'stylish' clothes definitely suit you?" Remarked Rei from the side.

"That...as well. Perhaps it would. I haven't really tried anything else out so I'm not sure," Tenka surmised as she held her chin.

Rei then let out a chuckle, "Well, just by looking at your current attire. It seems you already know the answer to that"

"That doesn't change that you only got two sets of clothes!" Tohka worriedly exclaimed as she put her hand on her cheek. "Then if that's the case we should go shop more!"

And so things progressed smoothly right after. They had gone to the counter and bought the clothes. After they got out from the store, the trio immediately had gone to another one and so on until the quota of the amount they should buy was reached.

Ranging from jackets, blouses, shirts, and pants. There had been many choices to choose from, and Tenka would inevitably pick up several clothes that got her fancy.

Of course, Tohka and Rei also bought some for themselves as well.

So far, so good.

Rei's arms were occupied by several bags containing the clothes they bought from several shops from here and there.

"Ah... why do I feel some kind of deja vu here..." Rei mumbled as they soon approached the 'final' clothing store that they should go to.

Involuntarily, Rei gulped as his brows slightly twitched in defeat.

What kind of shop is it?

Well, it was a lingerie shop.

After which they arrived at the lingerie store on the third floor by taking the elevator. Although Rei had came to this building many times during his stay here in this world, but it was the first time that he entered such a space.

This was a lingerie shop. Naturally, there was an array of female undergarments on display in the store. It looked like a flower garden with numerous multicolored flowers in bloom.

Through such flowers, Tohka followed by Tenka walked gracefully in rhythm step by step, just like a butterfly.

Glossy long hair, purple eyes that gleamed of interest and excitement, both looked like a lovely butterflies with dark purple wings.

"Ne ne, Rei, of course you'll select underwear for us, won't you?"

Tohka turned her head over as she flashed a uncharacteristically mischievous smile. Seeing such a lovely appearance was even a little dangerous for Rei, as he felt his heartbeat speed up for a second.

Since the entrance had large amounts of sexy female lingerie lined up. Of course, whether it was the store attendants or the customers, everyone here was female.

When Rei entered the store, curious glances were shot at him from the surrounding people in an instant. Although he felt better by having Tohka and Tenka by his side, it still made him feel kind of giddy and awkward in a way.

Even if he chose to ignore it, the feeling still lingers, but that doesn't matter for now since he should give an answer already at Tohka's question.

"...That, ah, of course"

Rei still managed to reply without fail which brought out a giggle from Tohka.

"Ehehe, how fun. Come, which one do you think looks good?"

Tohka jokingly tilted her head as she asked.

Behind her were countless flowers, it was like Tohka was pointing numerous multicolored weapons at him.

Tohka then took a long stride before ending up with the ones that lit her interest.

"Oh, how cute! Which one does Rei thinks is the best, hm?"

Tohka immediately found her targets, displaying two sets of underwear. Both sets were adorned with notable designs of exquisite lace, Rei involuntarily blushed a little as he let out a cough.

The right one had a somewhat flirtatious design with black lace as a foundation while the left one has a refreshing pure white design.

"Well, both are good and have their own charms but—"

Just as Rei was about to give his answer...

"How about these ones, bastard?"

...he was then interrupted by Tenka with a proud expression. She was currently holding something that Rei wouldn't expect that she, a newcomer here in this store, would pick.

"Ah... Oh my?" was the words that Rei could only muster as he widened his eyes in surprise.

"Fueh?! T-that is...!"

Both Rei and Tohka showed different reactions at Tenka who was donning a smug grin of her own.

The pair of lingeries hanging over her hands were made of material that was almost transparent, an extremely dangerous item. Both have the same theme color, however, one was dark purple and the other was gradient. The design inscribed to it also screamed 'temptation' for those of the opposite sex if they were to land their eyes on it.

Undeniably, those lingeries were very much alluring in Rei's eyes. And at the next second, the figures of both Tohka and Tenka appeared in his mind wearing such bold lingeries on top of him.

And yes, he was suddenly lost in thought.

"E-eh? Does R-Rei like these type of lingeries...?"

Tohka asked, but no reply came from the slightly flushed face of her companion.

"...."

"Hmph. It seems that I had won this battle," Tenka declared as she waved her hair off with a smug smile.

'...Won what exactly?' Was the words that Rei didn't manage to say for he was still temporarily in a confused mess.

"Oh! Is this what I think it is, hehe," Soon, as if a realization struck her head, Tohka giggled. She then gave a look to her sister who then nodded at her with a amused expression.

"Ufufu, if just by looking at this made you temporarily like that, it would be better if me and sis were to try it on~"

"Normally I would've been repulsed by this, but looking at you right now, it might be more entertaining than what I would've expected"

With a blissful expression, Tohka took one of the outfits Tenka had selected to the changing room which was soon followed by Tenka still donning the same smug smile as before.

Both of them entered the same changing room at the same time after giving him a peek of amusement.

Seeing all of this happening, Rei was left there standing like a fool. The surrounding females in shop who saw how everything transpired either blushed or giggled in amusement.

At the next few seconds, he composed himself from his former flustered mess. Shaking his head, he then took a deep breath.

"It's just 'adult' lingerie... yeah, nothing much that I couldn't handle," Rei said to none other than himself.

Then, after a few minutes.

"Uhm, Rei, can you come here for a second," Tohka's voice was then heard as her head peeked out from the curtain that was still concealing her body.

She then gestured her hands signalling for Rei to come towards their direction.

"Tohka?" He responded with a question, but he still walked towards near the changing room where the two had occupied in.

And at the next moment.

"Gotcha~"

His arm was then caught by Tohka as she immediately pulled him in inside the curtain with a gleeful smile.

[A/N: Yeah, and another late chapter. To be honest, I was pretty occupied reading Fanfics and KR Novels nowadays. Yes, you heard that right, KR Novels, and what's more is that it is not a proper translation but a MTL (Machine Translation).

Man, KR novels are pretty interesting compared to JP novels coming out nowadays. I mean, not to berate JP novels, but you could really just say that JP novels nowadays are just repetitive and such that you will easily know the plot, ending, and developments.

So reading KR novels have been a refreshing take on me, but don't mistake me for saying that this was the first time I am reading one, I have read plentiful of them, but this time, I was more immersed to read more than usual.

Also, the fanfics. Yes, I invested like almost all my free time in this week reading them alongside KR novels. These fanfictions that I am reading (mainly from FF.net and AO3) basically has 500k to 1.2m word range. Wow, it's like you are reading a series in one package.

I know this chap felt kinda short. 2.7k words huh. It's technically shorter compared to my usual chapters.
