Or not...

Anyways, there's really nothing more to say so here's the chap guyz]

——

"Rei, what does a 'Date' mean?"

Tohka asked as she slightly tilted head head, and upon hearing those words, Rei couldn't help but give a smile.

Ignoring the explosions and gunshots all over the place, his next words were clearly heard by Tohka who was waiting for his answer. He spoke.

"You want to know what a 'Date' means?" Rei asked for confirmation.

"Nn," nodded Tohka.

And so, Rei said, "Well, what do you think it is?" with a teasing smirk.

"Mou, that's why I am asking because I don't know what a date means!"

Tohka grumbled with a pout. Certainly, she looks very cute at the moment since Rei who heard her however didn't give here a clear answer in response.

"Well, a 'Date' is something that I couldn't really fully describe in words perfectly. So I think it is better for you to know and describe it yourself"

"But how...?" asked Tohka.

"Of course, by you experiencing it at first hand"

"Nu?"

Tohka was still confused. Of course she would. It was as if Rei was just playing circles in her mind and not directly giving her the answer.

'Experience what a 'date' is... huh,' Tohka thought to herself.

It was then interrupted when Rei suddenly added, "So let's get out of here before that..."

"Wait wh—?"

Tohka's words were cut off again as Rei interrupted her before she could finish and then said, "What would you prefer? A normal exit or a exit with a bang?"

Forming a sly smile paired an expression of amusement, Rei asked.

"...Nu?"

Certainly, Rei's expression right now clearly piqued her attention wondering what he is planning to do. After pondering for a moment, Tohka then answered.

"I don't really know what you are implying with those words... but I think I'll chose the latter...? The one with the 'bang', you said"

"So, an exit with a bang it is!"

With that said, Rei snapped his fingers and a black orb manifested in his hands. It expanded rapidly and it covered the whole school area within a matter of seconds.

Seemingly curious, Tohka asked.

"What's that?"

"Well, I'm just doing what you said princess," Rei said as he gestured like servant to his master.

This however earned a negative response from Tohka who pouted as she complained, "You are the one who asked it in the first place and I in response answered. Besides, my name is Tohka, not princess"

"Getting quickly attached to your name that much already?"

"Of course. Rei gave it to me after all," replied Tohka beaming a smile full of joy removing her pouting expression only a second ago.

"Hm. Well, your welcome, I guess?"

And it was then Rei seemingly 'cut' something out of thin air. With only a small wave if his hand, a rupture in the air occured.

What was within that rupture was the luminous light of black and purple. Describing it to be 'ominous' wouldn't be an understatement.

So even before Tohka could inquire what it was, Rei then suddenly grabbed her arm pulling her body inside along him.

"...!"

Widening her eyes, what greeted her was Rei's face plastered with a mischievous smile. Much to her shock, she felt everything around her trembled. The air and the entire place 'trembled'.

And as she was sucked along Rei within the rupture, Tohka could somehow point out what happened to the classroom, and the school itself which she only noticed a split second before the rupture closed in.

Tohka knew Rei was a gentle person. A good one to add based on her experience. But at that very moment, she slightly faltered.

Since the school where they set foot only a few seconds before...

...was completely removed from the face of the earth.

——

"Rei! What was that! Oh...!"

Right after a few seconds had passed since then. The [Gate] that he made brought them to his usual spot when teleporting in and out to the city.

In short, the dark alleyways. Nothing much to elaborate except that this place really looks shady and even creepy to some extent.

For some who were curious as for why Rei chose this exact place as a pinpoint terminal of his [Gate]s, the first and logical reason is that this place is usually devoid of any people.

Well, considering the place, it is normal. Also, no one really uses this alleyways except if they know the ways for this small maze.

The second reason and the illogical one is that, he feels that he will have a fateful encounter here. A very stupid thought to be exact considering his luck.

Anyways, back to the point.

Hearing Tohka who started talking in excitement as for how Rei could just teleport them out of there instantly, another thought passed in his mind.

'Well, getting the whole school destroyed would inevitably make them issue an obvious suspension of classes, at least for a week and at most for a month. This will give me enough time for the things I'll need to finish'

Rei mused in his mind as he demolished the whole school with mere seconds. This move of his could only be considered to be ruthless in a sense.

But did he feel any remorse about that?

None apparently.

He already confirmed that there aren't any substantial life forms present within the school when he decided to obliterate it. Well, besides the two of them of course and not including the AST because the 'things' they sent after them were merely disposable units.

And besides, him destroying the school wasn't really a big deal at all since this could be easily repaired by using [Realizers]. The only problem is the time they would consume on that.

And within that time frame, he is practically free to do the things that he missed all this time.

The rupture was still open, as he gestured his fingers, it then naturally closed.

It was then Rei glanced at Tohka who silently staring at him from the side. She already stopped talking and her expression especially right now was apparently showing a flux of emotions on the inside.

'Hm? Is she not okay that I'm not listening to her?' Rei thought in worry.

Misunderstanding—no, it isn't. He deliberately ignored her out of habit which he had even back in his past life.

And honestly, it brought him trouble oftentimes and will always be even now... it's really a bad thing to have.

"...."

Still remaining silent, Rei then asked in worry, "Tohka?"

"...no, Rei it's nothing. Nothing really..." Tohka said while gesturing that 'there was' something and not nothing.

Rei didn't point that out in the outside but instead said his next words with a smile, "Tell me, I'm here ready to listen to you"

While showing a slight quiver, Tohka's lips then moved, "It's about that...."

'It's about that? Oh, so she means...' And instead of continuing his silent thoughts, he spoke, "You mean what just happened a few moments ago?"

"Yes... Is it really necessary to destroy everything around there? Isn't that a bit too much?" Tohka said in concern... well, not really, but it sounded like it.

"Too much, huh..." Rei uttered in a low tone as he stared at Tohka who was directly looking back at him.

Rei didn't expect Tohka to have some sympathy on that part where he destroyed the whole place. As in, why should she? Shouldn't she be indifferent about it at most? That place after all, was a place for humans which she treats as enemies gather and study.

But in the end, this problem is just easy to answer if he clears up the misunderstanding. Well, it was necessary for Rei to do so no matter how cruel it may seem. So first of all, he asked, "Why? Is it bothering you that much?"

"No... it's just..."

"It's just?"

"The place where I earned my name... and the place where I met you again, that's why," She said while turning her gaze away. There was a visible flush on her face yet the look of disappointment and sadness was showing out as well.

"Ah..."

Rei didn't really put what she would feel in that account. At least, he knew that she wouldn't mind it too much—or so he thought which brought him to this situation.

Silence ensued the place as neither of them spoke for a while. Not bearing it anymore, Rei spoke as he heaved a defeated sigh.

'Its... no... I'm quite messed up ain't I?' Rei thought internally as if he wanted to smack himself.

There was still allot to change especially on his personality. It has always been messed up in a sense. He knew that best.

While thinking so, Rei could only smile faintly wondering whether he would really change in this new life of his.

It was a stupid wish that no one could grant except Rei himself. He could just hope that he could achieve this.

So as Rei prayed in his mind, he sincerely hoped he would change. Even just for the tiniest bit, for the better of his own and to those who will be involved with him, he hoped for that positive change.

[A/N: It's been a while since I've written an Author's Note in the end parts of a chap so here I am writing one (Not sure about it but I feel it is so yeah).

As you could see, this chap was short. I cut it short to be exact from the original draft for it to have more chaps.

Say, care to tell me where can you guys find sources or links that could help me in describing 'clothes' or 'attires'? Yes, I inquire this to whom may be interested helping me.

Cuz I'm having a short writing block especially about this part. Well, don't mind this too much if it doesn't interest you.

Also, don't roast me with some BS bcuz of that. I really want to smack some of these people if that were the case.

.

Also, point out some errors guys especially on the grammar or the plotholes that may have slipped by.

.

With that said, bye guyz and see ya on the next chap!]
