Atlas Academy, Part 2

After our morning breakfast and things my parents had to say to me and Evana, as family and assassins, we already had our ride waiting outside for us.

Seems like Atlas academy has some serious management talents for requiting students, even from this outer city point.

"Well, off we go!" We said as we went outside the door steps.

"Eth honey! Be careful and look after Eve okay!" "Eve, you do the same and be safe alright!" My mother said to us as we replied back with smiled answers.

Jin was ready and excited as he was already clinging to my head. My dad was standing silent for some reason.

"Come visit whenever you can and keep in touch!" My mother added before letting us off.

I slowly walked up to him, and looked at him with a smile. Just after he gave a smile towards me, I quickly hugged him as Jin jumped over to Evana.

I was thinking the first day when I met him as a baby who was about to die in his dead mother's embrace. Looking back, I spent most of my times training along with this man longer than I spent with my mother. In a way, without him I would've been dead along with my real mother.

"Thanks dad! Thanks for everything!" I said to him with my eyes flowing in tears.

"You kiddo! Don't cry! be strong, we are who we are after all!" he said as he pulled me back.

"en!" as I gave a nod, "Don't go there and cause any trouble. Not that you do, but as a father, I should say that right!" he said.

"I won't dad!" I replied as I slowly turned back and walked towards the carriage.

"Mr. Ethan, Ms. Evana, We should leave now if you are to make it on-time for the orientation ceremony," the driver said while bowing.

What?

"Orientation ceremony? don't we need to take the entrance exams first?" I asked him.

"Ah..Don't look so surprised. Our Academy Director has given you two special permissions to attend the academy as you both have qualifications greater than most of the second years!" he said.

"Is that a message as well?" I asked him again...but suddenly, "Eth! Stop! The director did give us permissions to attend without any entrance exams! Don't worry Okay!" Eve said as she halted me from asking the man.

The man gave a nod and smile, as I was standing in a awful lot of confusion. Well, If Eve is sure about that and what the man said is true, that's all that matters.

Father made sure to load our luggage inside the Carriage before we came outside the house, so "Your luggage is in the back of the carriage." The driver bowed and opens the door for the both of us.

As Eve and I nodded to the driver, he ran towards the driver's seat. the door he opened and closed for us.

"Speedy Travel!! Kyuu!" Jin seems to have excited.

As Evana and I peeked out our head and waved our hands to my parents, I couldn't help but smile, looking back at my old home, as I stepped inside the carriage that would bring me to my new one.

Atlas Academy huh...

If what I know is right, then the Atlas Academy has existed for over 10,000 years. It started out as a very small and exclusive school that only accepted geniuses. The Atlas Academy over time became an existence that was really essential and significant for the Vrisorid Kingdom.

Not to mention, it is hailed as the most exalted sanctuary for any of the would-be-mages privileged enough to have both the background and talent to enter. Thought were many other academies scattered throughout the Kingdom of Vrisorid, the difference between those second-rate schools and Atlas was incomparable. Those who qualified to graduate from Atlas academy were guaranteed a prosperous future and life.

...

The ride to Atlas Academy wasn't too long since it was in the inside city, but the campus itself was enormous, so going in through the main gate took some time.

"We have arrived, Master Ethan, Miss Evana." The driver opened the door for us and we stepped out, the both of us inhaling a deep breath of the campus air.

"Wind on Jin's face Kyu!" Jin was excited through and through. He is a child after all.

"Shall we!" as Evana asked, "Yes!" I replied as we followed the crowd of students walking on the bright marble path.

"So Biggy! Kyu!" Jin's jaw dropped as he looked almost vertically up at the building in front of us. The enormous white building that had runes etched covering it left even me astounded.

"Ethan! Its really Big don't you agree!" Eve said as we were looking up.

"Yes, I never thought the inner side would be like this Eve! Hahah!"

"Let's go in."

Evana smiled as we walked in alongside the other new students attending this school for the first time.

While we are pondering here we saw a parade around. Walking on the road, we joined the people assembled on the school yard.

It seems the Director was giving speech as the Orientation ceremony was already started.

After nearing the place, the voice radiated from the mana implied sound magic crystals towards my ears. It actually feels like.....Wait..

"Ethan! its....its..." as Evana said with surprisement,

"Yes, It is really...Alice?"
