Chapter Eighteen

Yami wakes up finding himself looking at a familiar ceiling. He was back in his apartment.

"well damn looks like I overdid it." Yami slowly sits up from the bed.

The door to the room opens as Mira enters the room.

"Oh Yami you're awake" Mira comes up to him.

"Yo!" Yami greets her "how long was I out?"

"You have been unconscious for almost two days" Mira answers "Porlyusica said you were suffering from magic depletion"

"Guess you have been taking care of me then Thanks" Yami smiled toward Mira causing her to blush a little but wasn't seen by Yami

"how is the guild by the way?" he asks wanting to know the status of the guild.

"things have already been settled by the Master" Mira explains to him about what happened during the time he was out.

As the two of them were talking a loud sound came from outside.

"Yo Yami!! We're here to visit" Natsu barges into the room

"Aye!! we brought fish" happy followed

"Oi keep your voice down," Gray says to Natsu

"What? he is already awake, isn't he?" Natsu said

Yami looks over and chuckles "Yo guy!! As active as ever"

"Ne! ne! Yami! do you that Lucy is a princess?" Happy says as he floats in front of him "the place twice the size of magnolia"

Happy keeps on explaining their adventure to Lucy's home to Yami as the rest of the team came in.

"How are you feeling?" Erza asks Yami.

"Am good. Heard you guy went to Lucy's place" Yami starts to chat with them

"dude how are you awake? Porlyusica said you would be asleep for a couple more days" gray said

"Well, I'm feeling very fine now," Yami said

He was able to wake up thanks to his healing factor

"Well it's good you're awake we were really worried about you," Erza said

"That's right here is Erza wanted to stay and take care of you," Happy said

"Is that so?" Yami looks at Erza for confirmation.

"Ah! what are you saying Happy" she then grabs Happy's face

"Ouch, it hurts Erza" happy said in pain.

"It's nothing I was going to but Mira was already doing it," she said while looking away

"Well thank you I appreciate it," Yami said with a smile

Erza's mind went blank for a bit when saw it and quickly turn away

"She likes you" Happy whose head was griped said.

'This guy has a death wish' Yami watches Erza throwing Happy to the ground while smiling.

He was a bit happy that she didn't deny it. That means there is a chance for him after all.

Mira was at the side was also smiling but there was a hint of sadness in it and jealousy that went unnoticed by the others.

Yami suddenly feels a chill run down his spine 'what was that'

He looks around but doesn't know what was wrong.

"Wow but Yami you're really strong your sword went like boom and was like woo and was like.." Happy who was up again was describing how Yami's last attack was with exaggerated poses Making everyone laugh.

"Ohhh! I'm feeling all fired up. Yami fight me" Natsu who was listening suddenly wanted to fight.

Gray hits him in the head Saying that Yami is still recovering

Natsu then gets mad at Gray and then they start to fight in the room which pissed off Erza who then kicked them out of the room.

After spending some time chatting with them everyone lives in the room for Yami to rest.

When everybody left the house Yami sat to think about the battle that he had. With the fight against the 'undead wolf', it was a hard opponent as it could easily regenerate and become stronger forcing him to exhaust a lot of energy

if not for his fast healing you wouldn't have been able to deal with Jose.

"I should have asked for more magic storage," Yami said thinking back at how he didn't use his wishes to their full potential.

He closes his eyes to get some rest for the day.

A day has passed since he woke up He has started to help the Guild members build up the new Guild

"Hey Yami, all of us are heading to the hot spring today there's a next row ticket if you want to go," Ezra asks Yami who was working.

"Seriously!! say less let's go!" Yami agrees instantly.

After all, even if they didn't invite him he would have found a way to follow them.

There was no way he was going to miss this battle.

More importantly, there's no he is going to allow Jellal to harm her.

Team, we're having a great time at the beach at Akane Resort.

"I can't believe it" ???

"I'm not dreaming am I?" ??

The team just came to the casino after spending the day playing at the beach. They noticed the crowd gathering around

"It seems something is happening there let's go check it out," Lucy said

As they move forward to hear a familiar voice

"Alright then let's start the next round"

"Yami what are you doing?" happy askes

Yami waves at them "Oh guys took you long enough I've started enjoying myself"

Yami was sitting on the Roulette table watching the ball move.

"Wow, so much money" Lucy's eyes glowed when she saw the chips in front of Yami.

"Dude how much did you win?" Gray asks

"A lot I guess I lost count a long time ago" Yami shrugs his shoulder

"How did you do it?" Lucy

"Haha beginner's luck I guess" Yami rubs his head

It's wasn't hard for Yami as he was using precise control of his KI to predict where the ball will land and bet on it. But he had to keep it healthy so that people would not suspect him too much.

"Wow that's some beginner's luck I guess I don't have to worry about rent anymore" Lucy smiles as she looks at the chips.

"You do know this is mine right!?" Yami raises his eyes brown

"But we're teammates, teammates are supposed to share," Lucy said

'Was there something like that?' Yami thought

"Alright I think I'm done here then go see what other things they have in store for me," Yami said after winning another game

Yami gets up and walks away he walks in the direction of the bartender as he feels he had more magic than others.

It was a young man with blond hair, arranged in a wavy style with fringes hanging above his forehead, and tanned skin. He has somewhat dark beady eyes and a small 5-shaped tattoo can be located below his lower lip.

As expected they came for her but this isn't much of a surprise to him as Jellal wasn't given up on her

As Yami gets closer to the bartender, the bartender also notices him there was a little bit of fear in this I but he doesn't show it too much.

Yami goes and sits down in front of the bar but before he could even say anything several ruins appear around him

This shocked Yami a bit as he did not sense them before they went off

"Shit! I didn't expect them to use runes to trap me" Yami cursed.

The reason why he could not tell that it there was because Urtear was wary about his sensing ability (KI) so she took the precaution

He tries punching it but it is absorbed by the barrier.

"Shit, why do I feel like it was built for me" Yami complain out loud.

"That right 'Dark Swordsman' Yami, this was made precisely to keep you" Sho who was next to him answered.

"do you think this can keep me here?" Yami looks at him.

"no, but to keep you here long enough" he then turns and walks away.

'seems I underestimated him' Yami thought

"Now how to leave this place," Yami says looking at the ruins "Where is Levy when you need her?"

Ruins aren't Yami's specialty.

"Can't think about that have to think of a way to get out of here"

{REQUIP}

His body starts to how as his clothes change from his casual wear into his battle wear. He was able to learn {REQUIP MAGIC} from Erza making it easier to carry clothes.

He grabs the hilt of his sword.

{DARK MAGIC: DARK CLOAK LIGHTLESS SLASH}

'Huh!!! Nothing happened'

"…."

"Fuck I can't use dark magic here" Yami felt a headache coming "Damn you Jellal!!!"

This is one of the effects of the ruins to stop the use of dark magic inside it. He then continues to attack the ruin with his sword but it wasn't having much of an effect.

So after attacking for nearly half an hour he could feel that it was weakening but it was still not fast enough

"Yami are you Okay?" Lucy rushes at him with Natsu, Lucy, Gray, happy and …Juvai

"Yeah I'm fine" Yami lets out a sigh

"What are you doing in there?" Natsu asks

"Yeah, as you can see. I just decided I wanted to put myself here. idiot!!!" Yami was pissed as he couldn't break the barrier.

"Where is Erza?" Yami ask Lucy

"They got her some guys came and took her" Lucy answers

"You guys go get her I'll catch up in a bit," Yami tells them to go.

"Can you handle it" happy asks

"it's okay this won't hold me" Yami smiles "now go!"

"Yes!!!" Yami watches them as they leave.

Things didn't go the way he wanted. He never thought that he would be targeted like this. He was planning to go together with them and stop Jellal before they use the Etherion to attack.

"Now where was I again?" Yami taps his head with his sword

"Oh! This dumb barrier" he then continues his attacks
