27 Gough's Choise.

When Kalameet returned to the coliseum where Adrian saved Artorias he landed on the outside gently. Just being a large dragon did not make him clumsy which was one good thing as it would be dangerous to crash every time he landed.

Adrian and Seraphine jumped off while carrying both of their unconscious passengers. Dusk was mumbling about the dark and beast, but she seemed better than before. As for Sif he was totally out cold of stress and fear.

Artorias and Ciaran walked out and from the look of it, he had removed Adrian's armor. Turns out the armor did not like him at all and started to heat up to a point that even he could not take it. Adrian laughed at his plight and laid Dusk down gently in front of the shrine.

"I will be taking it back now."

Adrian's removed the armor he borrowed from Artorias and at that moment his armor flew toward him. All of it settled into place like he was Tony Stark and all the straps went into their proper tightness.

His helmet landed in his hands which made him smile as it shrunk down to match his new height. Seraphine, Artorias, and Ciaran looked at the magic at display and were kind of interested.

"I missed you too my cursed armor. Anyway, we got about two hours in this time period and will go back when that time runs out. I want to meet up with Gough before we leave."

He stabbed the Wolf Knight Greatsword in front of it so Seraphien left Sif there as well. Artorias wanted to help his friend, but it was not worth the risk of waking him up.

He secretly apologized and would make it up to him in the future. For now, he put his armor back on. It felt better than Adrian's soul armor which he felt was cursed. It was like the longer he wore the armor the more it tried to get him to take it off.

"Hey Adrian, I think your armor is cursed or something."

He looked at Artorias like he just said the most obvious thing in the world.

"Of course, it is cursed, it was formed from part of my soul. Might as well be a part of me that I can remove."

Artorias glanced at the armor and for a split second, he caught a demon-like being form behind Adrian. It looked to be made of mist, but he only saw it for an instant as it returned to the armor.

"I think it is alive."

Adrian looked at his armor and did not feel a thing. However, the cultured and creepy part of his mind went into the degenerate part.

'Can I fuck my armor? Would that be selfcest as it is part of my soul? Questions for later.'

Seraphine glanced at his armor and gently tapped on it. It did not seem any different to her and she ignored it. If it was possessed she would be fine with it as long as it was loyal to Adrian. That was what matter and from the look of it, the armor did not like being worn by others.

They went toward the tower that Gough was trapped in and started to climb the stairs up for him. Adrian found his smaller height to be more convenient like in situations like this. It did not stop him from liking his normal form better though.

When he reached the top of the tower and entered Gough knew it was him. The sound of those footsteps, that aura, the smell of a dragon all of it was Adrian.

"Adrian my friend. Even if thee is not of this time."

Adrian sat in front of him and looked at his helmet. It was before Harold told him of the tree sap in the eye holes.

"Gough, you could tell at a glance. Still are the best archer in the land you are."

Artorias, Ciaran, and Seraphine walked up to Gough for different reasons. Ciaran and Artorias were friends with Cough while Seraphine was interested in a knight of Gwyn. the giant moved his head toward the two of them.

"Artorias, I feared you were lost for good."

Artorias walked up to him and nodded with a bitter smile.

"That I was, if not for my brother. What happened to you?"

Gough placed down the wood he was carving and sighed.

"Blind, and retired. I am a dog with no hares to hunt, not anymore."

Seraphine was the one who pointed it out to him.

"Your not you know. They put tree sap in the ports for you to see out of."

Gough reached up and felt the tree sap. He used his knife to scrape it out of the way and saw a tiny streak of light enter the port into his eyes shocked him.

"I am not blind?"

Adrian shook his head.

"No buddy, you are not. You were tricked by those jealous of you becoming a knight of Gwyn. I came here to invite you to come to the future with us. You retire here and die soon after, I wanted to give you a chance to live."

Gough thought of it as he continued to scrape sap from his helmet.

"The future. How is it?"

Seraphine decided to be honest.

"Bleak and terrible. Has Gwyn linked the fire?"

Gough nodded.

"Been a long time? Why?"

She sat down and explained.

"Well linking the fire caused the curse of the undead. The fire is not supposed to be extended as the age of fire and dark are a cycle. One comes, and the other follows. By linking the fire this cycle was broken."

Gough realized what she implied. He might be a giant, but he was the smartest giant. He turned to Adrian as he came up with a conclusion.

"You wish to end the age of fire."

Artorias and Ciaran glanced at him in shock. However, Adrian was open to it.

"I am, I aim to put Gwyn to rest and set this world on the right path. By linking the fire he caused the current cursed state of the world. Rember the humans in the great war, the Ring Knights."

Ciaran, Gough, and Artorias recoiled as they remembered them. None of them agreed with what Gwyn did to them, but they did not say anything when it happened. Gough thought back to the war and he knew just how many humans gave their lives for this war.

Gwyn feared them so much he even gave up his youngest daughter all to contain them. He stood up and looked dead ahead. He did something no giant had done before and removed his helmet. He felt he was not worthy to hide his face as was custom to giants.

His face looked kinda human-only much darker and his eyes were dark green. Only a giant could love that face, but Gough did not care. What honor was there to have if his current tale was built on a betrayal.

Seraphine had never heard the term, but she was interested. From the look of it, humans had been important in the great war. She was going to ask Adrian later what they meant, but there was a better time for it.

Gough spoke up as he turned around without hiding his face.

"You are right. However, what if you are wrong?"

Adrina shook his head.

"I am not Gough. Put your helmet back on, your honor is still intact. None of us did anything even when we saw what he did. We hold as much guilt as you do."

Artorias had to agree with Adrian as he patted Gough on the back.

"He is right you know? All the praise the people gave me was built on lies. Even now I will be leaving Sif here to think I perished. I am nothing but lies."

Gough did put it on and looked down.

"I will go with you. What happened to Ornstein?"

Adrian's face turned into a hateful one.

"He betrayed us and killed most of my knights. Only 12 of us in total are still alive. We don't have much time and we need to go."

He whistled and called down Kalameet who hung off the tower side. Gough knew the specialty of the Fume Knights to tame dragons, but he thought Kalameet untamable. He looked at the dragon who also looked at him.

Adrian placed him into his dragon realm, but Kalameet ended up on the back of Amara. She liked it here as it was calm and it was a good place made for dragons. Kalameet looked around at the giant field and felt like a king.

He thought he found a cool mountain to make his as he spread his wings ready to take off like a king. Only for Amara to stir and get up making Kalameet fly off and land on the ground.

He looked up and now felt tiny lie a mouse to a lion. Amara was not an Everlasting Dragon for nothing and it made the poor dragon pass out. Amara nudged him with her snout and scoffed at how small he was. She flew off to a new place to sleep as she did not like being disturbed.

Adrian who was watching barely held back his laugh as Kalameet might be the last Ancient Dragon, but it was still nothing compared to a true dragon. He stood up and he saw a system prompt.

<Branding Gough to the system. When the host travels to the future, he will follow. Starting now.>

Adrian reached out and grabbed Seraphine and just as he feared a giant silver portal appeared above them. It surprised everyone and before they could react they were all sucked into the wild portal.

Gough managed to take his bow, but that was all he had. Artorias was holding Ciaran as the travel through space was everything but gentle. Adrian felt the powerful winds in the portal which was much worse than the way he entered the past.

Seraphine wrapped her arms and legs around Adrian to not be thrown away from him as the force was terrible. They were thrown out in the sky over Anor Londo which made Scorn fly to catch them.

They landed roughly on his back which was not as bad as it sounded. It was a good thing he did not have spikes as Kalameet and Russ had. Adrian looked around and saw that Artorias was still holding Ciaran.

Gough was on his back and getting up which meant there were no major injuries. Seraphine sat on his legs as she shook her head to get rid of the dizziness.

"That sucked."

Adrian nodded as he felt a very uncomfortable feeling.

"Yes, but your knee is on my crotch. Please get it off."

She looked at her knee which had landed on his crotch.

"Sorry."

She removed it as he got up as Scorn flew around where the body of Seath was being broken down.

"Thank you Scorn. Did anything weird happen while we were gone?"

Scorn shook his head as nothing was different. Adrian sighed in relief as time travel did not cause some weird mage changes to the world. He landed a distance away from where the Fume Knights were hard at work to get as much material from Seath.

Artorias looked up and saw Scorn looking at him

"Is that Scorn? He is huge."

Adrian nodded as he slid down the wing of the giant dragon onto the ground.

"Yup, his brother Devestaror is around here somewhere."

Adrian released Amara and Kalameet who had woken up and from the look of it was scared of Amara. No one could blame him as she was Amara so she should be feared. Gough got off as he looked at Amara.

He had no good feeling toward her and the feeling was mutual. She had a particular hatred of giants and it showed in her eyes. However, for her master's sake, she did not do a thing to him. She took off to be away from Gough which made him look at Adrian.

"You tamed one of them."

Adrian nodded and looked into Gough's eyes without a shred of hesitation.

"I would do it again. The dragons were victims and we were the attackers. We took their home, their world from them. Plus, the ones who died deserved it as they were the same ones who killed my knights and me. I hold no pity to them."

Adrian started to walk toward August to explain what he had down. He was obviously shocked to see Artorias, Ciaran, and Gough who were all dead alive. He looked at Adrian with pure shock in his eyes.

"Captain, what did you do?"

Adrian smiled and patted him on the shoulder.

"I got dragged off into the past by a shadowy limb. Anyway, while I was out there I decided to save the three of them. I will need you guys to explain to Gough what you went through under Artorias."

All of them looked at Gough who could be called their friend. He very much wanted an explanation so August was the first to begin the story. Of course, he got back to work as they harvested the bones and meat from the body.

All of the Fume knights told the story of their betrayal and why only 11 of them remained not counting Adrian. the more Gough, Artorias, and Ciaran heard the more disgusted they became with Ornstein.

After what all of the knights told of what happed to them, Gough now knew why Adrian had no pity for the dead of the great war. They were the very same who had exterminated his order and tortured his friends.

Gough turned to Adrian and kneeled at his feet.

"I am sorry."

Adrian shook his head.

"Don't worry about it. I just died, I did not get tortured for centuries by Ornstein."

Artorias patted August on the shoulder.

"I am glad you survived."

August was the one who was the most confused. He looked at Adrian very confused but pleased.

"What did you do to bring him back?"

Adrian just walked back into Anor Londo.

"Magic. I will tell the story later, I need a nap."

Seraphine walked next to him and her thoughts were nothing on a nap. She had something else in mind and Adrian took the hint.
