A Year, and Brute Force is Key.

Following the meeting, they waited for Solaire and Carnage to return. It took them a whole month which didn't worry Adrian much. The system would have informed him if anything had happened to any of them. Especially Kalameet who he had a soul contract with so the dragon informed him of the events.

Solaire and Carnage had found a few kingdoms and they were hired to help settle issues. They were also there to recruit some people with potential who were either knights, fighters, or even peasants.

Anyone who had the nerve to pick up a weapon and followed orders. Adrian approved of this as it would be a good way to find new talent in this world to bring out with him. The humans of this world were better than the average human in DxD as here they had more potential.

He wanted them to prepare here for when they went to DxD they would use that world's power to grow stronger. He was going to make his own faction and stake a claim to part of the Underworld meaning he would have to fight for it.

He planned to at least make an alliance with Grigori as Azazel was an interesting guy. If he could work with him participating in the Great War would be easier. All was toward being as strong as possible so he would take any advantage he could get.

He and his knights would go out to deal with issues of monsters for these kingdoms. For a price of course which was either work, people, or food. Demons which while weakened were beginning to use human souls as a source of fuel. This led to more attacks by the demons who began the early steps to raise a Demon Prince from DS3.

A champion to link the Chaos Fire, but Adrian knew it would not happen anytime soon. That is what he wanted to believe, but something told him that by the time they entered DS2 it would be different.

That was not the only event that had happened this year. All of his people had their gear upgrades as far as they could with the current materials they had on hand. The Dragon Forge was used a lot and everyone had legendary gear, making them legends.

Plus he, Seraphine and August had consumed the Lord Souls they had one hand. Adrian took the Witches soul and Manus' soul like he planned while Seraphine took Nito's. August took the shards from Gwyn whcih resonated with him.

All three had grown more powerful and gained extra abilities from the souls raising their status even further. No one complained as it just meant they were meant for it. Because of the help offered by his people it made a lot of people revere and respect them.

They were even called heroes which they did not deny. As much as he did not lie the title of hero, it was a good way to move the people which he was all for. All of his group had maxed out truly and were seeing the benefits.

Not only did they have that, but they also had the powerful souls of certain beings to deal with. The soul of Gwendolyn was given to Logan who had his soul sorceries grow greatly from the soul of a god.

Turns out he was one of the greatest assets Adrian has as the man was a genius when he was not at risk of going mad. For humans who showed great promise, they were given the souls of demons which under careful use pushed them to higher levels of might.

At the moment Adrian was looking at the skull Alter with just some interest. It was fascinating how such a thing he was so afraid of was also one of his favorite things to look at.

It had grown to a grand alter full with a small hill of skulls, but still, no warp influence had spread here. That was a good thing as he still had time to grow stronger as he knew how bad Warhammer40k could get.

'Not to mention I still have Doom to worry about as the Doomslayer is Primevil and essentially immortal unless killed by another of his kind. Of course, I am an exception.'

He also had no intention to try to kill Doom Slayer, dude was more useful as a friend or partner than dead. However his soul sounded rather tantalizing, but that is what cliche villains say before dying.

"Adrian, it is time to meet with everyone. It is time to kill Gwyn."

He looked behind him to see Seraphine and Priscilla standing at the same height. Priscilla found it more convenient to walk around at that height so she usually stayed at this height when not in battle.

Adrian nodded and stopped looking at the throne.

"I know, it is a year exactly and our time is running out. Let's get to it."

Adrian looked at the sky that was much darker than it used to be. The sky was nearly night-black permanently which showed the Age of Dark was approaching. From the look of it there was still time left, but not much.

It was time to finish this.

"Let's go then. I will address the army later."

Both women smiled as in this year they had recruited a small army of 20,000 fighters which included, knights, assains, sorcerers, pyromancers, and miracle users. Among them were alchemists who used monster corpses to create drugs and potions to boost the power of the fighters safely.

Sorcerers who worked under Logan to make new spells and magic items for the army. Blacksmiths who learned under Cough, Andre, and Vamos to forge special weapons and armor.

New recruits for the warriors of Sunlight learned miracles under Solaire while Adrian had rebuilt the Fume Knights. Even if the new members were not descendent of the Nameless King they still took potential recruits in.

He and his knights had chosen only the elite of the elite who showed true potential and grit. The height requirement was off-putting as they had to be at least 6'8 It was rare to find such tall people, but they had found 50 of such rare people.

Seraphine, Priscilla, and Theobald were exceptions to the rule as they were here before. The Spartan-like training they were put through made most quit or not try at all.

They were required to use massive weapons that most humans would not try at all, but this world was different. It was possible and it just required training, magic, and determination.

Those who had endured this year had earned their armors, their weapons, and the right to call themselves Fume Knights. Of the 50 who met the height requirements, only 10 had made it to the end of the training.

As for the original Fume Knights, they were called the Primaris which Adrian stole from Warhammer. It just sounds perfect for it as it just sounded right. He did not care he was calling them that.

Once Adrian, Seraphine, and Priscilla made it to the meeting hall most of the higher-ups as Adrian called them was here. Cough, Gough, Andre, Theobald, Logan, Quellag, Vamos, Ciaran, Artorias, Sif, the Primaris Fume Knights, and Solaire.

Once all of them were here Adrian began the meeting.

"In this year we have built up a true foothold in Anor Londo and we have taken over it truly. However, the time we have left is running out. It is time to put an end to Gwyn."

Solaire nodded as much as it pained him.

"I agree, seeing even a few streaks of sunlight are rare. I say we need to leave and soon."

August agreed fully.

"We have recruited as many fighters as we can and have returned Anor Londo as a fortress city. How are we going to get to the Kiln besides those traitorous serpents?"

Adrian smiled.

"I have not shown it yet, so I will leave it as a surprise. Anyway, Theobald, do you have anything to add about the mental state of the people and army."

Everyone looked at Theobald who looked like he had gotten 30 years younger from souls and the potions made by the alchemists. That was not all as he was wearing a Fume Knight armor set as despite feeling like he would die, he worked himself to the bone to earn this right.

He had even gotten later, but not by much. He was standing at 6'4 which was not bad. He cleared his voice as he offered his take.

"All of the people we recruited did so as long as their families came. The army number 20,000, but their families increase this number to around 40,000. We take crops from the kingdoms in exchange for protection. Most of them are ready for the move."

Seeing that made Adrian look at his system secretly.

<Take Anor Londo and all inside to DxD?>

-Price: 100 million Souls.

-Soul Count: 1.3 Billion Souls.

'It took a lot of farming, selling equipment, and going extended periods without sleep or rest, but he got this huge amount of spending souls as he was already maxed level.'

August tapped his foot on the ground as he had high authority second only to Adrian.

"Captain, give the word."

Adrian had already consumed the souls of Manus and the Witch of Izalith which had made his abilities far stronger. He gathered his misma into the shape of a portal before it opened a burning portal of black flames.

"I want the Primaris with me, Artorias, Seraphine, Priscilla, Solair, Sif, Ciaran, we move out. Theobald, I want you to keep the people calm when the light goes dark."

He bowed and agreed.

"Yes, captain."

Adrian looked at those following him as they were going to exit this world once Gwyn was dead.

"Come on, let's put him to rest."

They all entered the black portal which did not harm them at all. The moment they walked out the other side they saw Lord Vessel and the large doors to the Kiln. Katheee emerged from the Abyss and was shocked by what he felt.

"YOU FOOLS! How will you open the door now?"

They all shot the snake's disgruntled looks and were sure that they were sick of him. Adrian walked in front of the giant doors and placed his hands on them.

"Snake? How do you open a door?"

"You pu-, you will fail. they are closed shut with magic. Nothing can open them now."

Adrian started to force open the doors and even the magic put in place began to crackle under his physical might. Artoriass shook his head at the snake he felt had been the reason for his corruption at the Abyss to start with.

"My brother is many things, normal is not one of them."

Adrian's eyes burned with black flames as his veins turned murky black forcing his strength above the limit. A creak of light began to leave the door shocking the serpent. August and the Fume Knights all looked at their captain with pride.

"He really is the greatest."

Adrian roared as he ripped both doors straight off the wall opening the way toward Gwyn. He stopped causing the Abyss to boost his physical might and walked in.

"Let's go."

Everyone followed after him ready to put down the first and hopefully last Lord of Cinder. As they walked they began to encounter the ghosts of the Black Knights who died when Gwyn linked the fire.

Priscilla shook her head seeing it.

"How sad?"

Adrian nodded.

"It can be sad, yet they can still be useful."

Adrian lifted his hand and drew all of their souls toward his armor. His armor had the ability to bind ghosts to it and use them as shock troops to fight for him as they would be boosted by his power.

They also encountered a small battalion of Black Knights, but they were no threat. They all had one thought in their minds.

'Let's end this.'
