1 Chapter 1

Thunder rumbled as the rain pattered on the roof.

Suni's black, sad eyes gazed out of the window of her small attic which she called her room. She frowned. She was waiting for the rainstorm to stop so she could escape from her cruel life.

All of a sudden, there was a slam on the door. "Open the door, brat!" Chester, her father yelled from outside. Her eyes welled up with tears, hearing him. Her duffle bag was packed, the map she stole from her father's study was neatly folded and kept inside the bag. Opening the door didn't even cross her mind because she was too scared to do so. What if he got to know that she's leaving the kingdom today? He would beat and insult her again.

As the bangs and yells continued, she tried to think of something. What could she possibly do though? It was heavily raining outside! But she also had to escape and opening the door was not an option.

Suni gulped, nervously, looking out of the window again as she blinked her tears away. She had to do this. Taking a shaky breath in, she picked up her bag, covering it with a cloth so that it wouldn't get wet.

"I AM GETTING THE KEYS, NOW!" Chester yelled.

She very quietly climbed out of the window and yelped as the cold water trickled down her skin. Her skin was sensitive because she was an omega and climbing down the castle, having the cold wet wall rub against her skin was not helping.

Suddenly, a hand grasped her own. She stared at her father in shock as his eyes glared at her murderously.

"Where do you think you're going, filthy omega!?" He said harshly, pulling her up.

Tears slipped out of her eyes, as she struggled to get out of his grip. She was successful in pulling her hand back but the worse thing happened. She slipped off the rock of the castle as she pulled her hand back with force, falling. Her eyes widened, feeling the wind gush through her as she fell.

Chester watched her descending down the castle, goggled-eyed with his mouth agape. Once more, a wave of surprise washed through him as he stared at her.

Suni opened her scared eyes to find herself floating in the air. Was it a dream? Was she already dead? Her thoughts made a mess in her mind. But the pain of hitting the ground never came. Her eyes looked around and landed on her father, who stared at her, awestruck. She was alive. A breath of relief was let out. But the relief disappeared almost suddenly when the question arrived, how was she alive?

The answer was wings. She noticed black shiny wet wings that came out of her back, holding her in the air. Confused and panicked, she dropped to the ground with a thud, flinching when it hit her back but not enough to make her bleed. The wings saved her. She was a werewolf, at that, an omega. She didn't even have any magic, to begin with. Then how did she feel the wings merging with her back?

Suni let it go for now and ran because she heard her father yelling at the guards to bring her back. She wasn't going to let that happen after finally getting this far. She tripped and fell, bruising her knee. Wincing as blood trickled and washed away with the rain, she got up and sprinted. Her white wolf ears attached to her black hair twitched when she heard shouts telling her to stop.

It was difficult for the omega to run this far with her bag lifting her down. The thought of turning into a wolf didn't even cross her mind because she couldn't. It sure was funny, a werewolf couldn't turn into a wolf.

Suni knew she was failing. She was heavily exhausted, and the twigs and bushes that bruised her body while running didn't help at all. If it kept going like this, the soldiers will catch up to her in no time, knowing they're all Alphas and Betas.

She panted, worried as her eyes searched for somewhere to hide. Unfortunately, there was no place to be out of the guards' sight. Just then, she heard someone whistling and humming a song which, oddly enough, calmed her down in the given situation.

A yell came from behind her telling her to stop. They were close. Her breath hitched as she ran fast, totally forgetting about the beautiful hums and whistles.

Looking behind to see where they were, she bumped into someone's back. She was about to apologize but stopped when the crimson-haired boy turned around and looked at her with angry red eyes. Words got stuck in her throat, looking at how mesmerizing he looked. He just wore a black shrug-like thing above and his chest and abs were clearly in view with rainwater tricking down. He wore military green pants with high brown boots that came a little down to his knees. His red hair was wet because of the rain.

Suni's cheeks reddened as she stared at him in awe with big eyes. He furrowed his eyebrows, still looking angrily in her eyes.

A shout from behind got Suni back to her senses. She blinked several times before bowing down and apologizing.

No! They are almost here, "She thought" and looked back at the angry boy, who turned around, continuing on his way.

Maybe I should ask for help, "She thought" and fast-walked to the boy.

"E-Excuse me…C-Can you please help me?" She tugged on his sleeve, looking down.

He stopped and looked at her, still wearing an angry expression.

"No." He replied.

Her hand left his sleeve as she looked at him with

desperate eyes. "P-please."

"I am not in the mood to kill anyone today," He yawned.

"There you are, omega."

Suni's head snapped at the soldiers who had caught up to her. The boy raised his eyebrows at the remark and looked at the black-haired girl who was biting her lip, looking like she was about to cry.

Suni's breath hitched as she tried to run away from them but it was no use as she was pulled back by the Guard's magic and was slammed to the tree.

She yelped as her back hit the tree. Coughing out blood, she looked at the redhead who was watching the drama.

"Woah Woah! Must you do that to the weak dumbass there?" He spoke in a funny tone, his voice raspy and deep.

"It is none of your business."

Suni's eyes began to close and the last thing she was the boy's lips curving up into a smirk.
